Funeral services scheduled after firefighter dies in line of duty in Indiana

As previously reported by News Center 7, Don 'Hev' Caylor died Sunday while 'answering the call of duty,' the Randolph County Sheriff's Office said on social media.

The Clark's Office in Ridgeville, Indiana, announced in a Facebook post that a viewing will be Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at MJS Mortuary at the 100 block of North Walnut Street.
There will be a Friday viewing from 11 a.m. to noon. The funeral is scheduled to start at noon.
FEMA said on its website that he collapsed while responding to a structure fire.
'Other Ridgeville Volunteer Fire Department firefighters found Assistant Fire Chief Caylor upon their return to the station after the fire and pronounced him deceased,' they added.
The Randolph County Coroner's Office previously told Indianapolis TV stations Fox 59 and CBS 4 that Caylor died at the Ridgeville Fire Station.
The coroner indicated that his fellow firefighters found him lying on the floor at the station.

A quick-thinking pilot's training kicked in when his single-engine plane lost power over a popular North Carolina beach — prompting a dramatic caught-on-video crash landing in the surf. 'At some point the engine started to lose power,' pilot Mark Finkelstein told WRAL-TV News following the watery Saturday evening landing off the shore of Oak Island. 'At a certain point the engine just stopped all together and the propeller just stopped. 'I was focused on the training and what I needed to do… I just focused on what I needed to do.' The small plane, a Jabiru J230-D, was only in the air for 13 minutes after taking off from nearby Cape Fear for a scheduled short flight over the popular beach before things went wrong around 7:30 p.m., according to a report by WNCN-TV News. Rescuers quickly converge on the damaged plane and are seen plucking Finkelstein to safety, according to the footage. He told WRAL that he miraculously only suffered a cut to his leg, and no one on the ground was hurt. 3 The single-engine plane lost power and was forced to crash land off Oak Island in North Carolina on Saturday. Delta flight headed to Atlanta returns to LAX over smoking engine
Trouble with the engine brought a Delta flight headed to Atlanta back to the airport in Los Angeles Friday. Delta flight 446 was diverted back to the airport shortly after departure, Delta Air Lines reports. A photo and video shows smoke coming from the left engine of the plane. 'As nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and crew, the flight crew followed procedures and safely returned to the gate,' Delta said in a statement. 'We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel plans.' The aircraft is a Boeing 767-400 with two pilots, seven flight attendants and 226 passengers. The flight landed safely and taxied to the gate under its own power, Delta said. All aboard got off the plane normally. Delta said the local fire department examined the aircraft as a safety precaution, and the airline's maintenance teams will examine the aircraft. Passengers will be sent to their final destinations on a new aircraft.
