The BMW M3 CS Touring Is an Epic Wagon, So Of Course, Americans Can't Have It

BMW just keeps pumping out the epic M wagons, and the latest tantalizing model to hit is the M3 CS Touring. Just don't get your hopes up if you live in America, because like the regular M3 Touring, the CS model won't be sold in the U.S.
Its absence from the local market doesn't mean we can't gawk at its aggressive beauty — and it sure does look mean. Aesthetic changes follow the path of the regular M3 CS sedan that is sold in America; BMW applies its red-surround CS-style grille, larger front air intakes and splitter, yellow LED daytime running lights, exposed carbon sections of the front hood and CS badging aplenty. Unique to the Touring is a red surround on the roof spoiler in keeping with the red accent theme.
Only four colors are on the palette: British Racing Green, Laguna Seca Blue, Frozen Solid White and Sapphire Black metallic. Both the green and blue options are pictured in the gallery, and we're definitely partial to the green, especially paired as it is with the optional Gold Bronze wheels.
Performance enhancements also mirror our M3 CS. Output for the 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six surges to 543 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, thanks to a unique engine tune and increased boost – BMW claims a 0-62 mph time of 3.5 seconds. The eight-speed automatic transmission and xDrive AWD (which can be put into RWD mode) come standard, and top speed is 186 mph. A titanium muffler ensures both a louder sound and helps contribute to the small reduction in weight. BMW uses a smattering of carbon fiber that it says helps the CS drop 33 pounds versus a standard M3 Touring xDrive.
CS-specific tuning is applied to the electronically-controlled dampers, steering, braking and DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) systems to enhance handling. You can specify track performance tires from the factory, and M Carbon Ceramic brakes are also an option. There's an available M front strut tower brace you can spec to up rigidity that little bit more, too.
The interior comes with a unique CS center console, M Carbon bucket seats in a special black/red colorway, an Alcantara steering wheel and CS badges all over. For those intending on maximizing its utility, you'll be glad to hear the CS doesn't reduce cargo capacity versus a regular M3 Touring, giving you the best of both performance and cargo space.
If you live in Europe, Australia, Japan and South Korea, BMW says M3 CS Touring deliveries will begin in March this year. Unfortunately, we'll just need to watch from afar as everyone else enjoys this ultra M3 wagon. But hey, at least BMW sees fit to offer the M5 Touring over here.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — At the BMW Charity Pro-Am golf tournament, their mission is all about giving back to local charities. For 25 years, the BMW Charity Pro-Am has been in 'full swing,' bringing a fun tournament to the Upstate while raising money for charities across the state. 'Oh, they love it,' Jeff Morris, Executive Director of Folds of Honor for the Palmetto State also said. 'They are calling me as soon as we are finished,' Chrystal Assadzandi, Charity and Volunteer Coordinator for the BMW Charity Pro-Am, said. 'I get a lot of calls saying 'how can we participate? How can we be a part?'' In 2001, the tournament was created to showcase the beauty of the South Carolina Upstate, while bringing locals, celebrities, and professional golfers together. It's aimed to raise money and awareness for South Carolina charities. One of those charities that has been impacted is Folds of Honor. 'I have had many veterans come up to me and they are so grateful to have the opportunity to come watch a golf tournament, come into the hospitality suite, interact with other veterans,' Morris said. 'It is amazing when you hear them, and they just go in there and they swap stories.' Morris said since Folds of Honor's involvement with the BMW Charity Pro-Am began in 2018, their group has been awarded around $250,000. The charity offers educational scholarships to the children and spouses of military and first responders. Funding for Folds of Honor, along with the more than 50 charities involved in this year's tournament, is raised in many ways, including through donations, ticket sales, and volunteer programs. BMW leaders said hundreds of charities have been impacted through this tournament over the past 25 years, and the money raised for them has not slowed down. 'We have given back in the past 25 years over $16 million to charities right here in the Upstate,' Assadzandi said. The BMW Charity Pro-Am will run through Sunday, June 8. Report: Most 2026 BMW Models Will Receive a Price Hike on July 1

BMW will raise prices on many of its 2026 models starting on July 1, according to a report from CarsDirect. The increase will amount to about 2 percent of the existing MSRP, with the price hike ranging from $1100 to $2500. Several models will escape the price bump, including the 2026 iX SUV and 2026 M2 coupe. The vast majority of BMW models will likely get more expensive starting next month. As reported by CarsDirect, a bulletin was sent to BMW dealerships last week stating that the MSRP of most 2026 BMW models will go up by 1.9 percent beginning on July 1, 2025. The price increases will reportedly not affect 2025 BMW inventory. BMW has so far released pricing for many, but not all, of its 2026 model year lineup, with pricing for models such as the 7-series, X1, and 2-series not yet available. The nearly 2 percent price increase also won't affect every model in BMW's lineup. The main exceptions are its 2026-model-year EVs, the i5 and the iX. (Pricing for the 2026 i4 and i7 has not been published.) The Alpina XB7, 2026 2-series Gran Coupe, and 2026 M2 are also reportedly unaffected. BMW On the top end, the price hikes amount to $2500 for models such as the X5 M, which rises from $127,200 to $129,700, according to CarsDirect. The lowest increases are for the 4-series Coupe and Z4 roadster, which each see a bump of $1100. These figures exclude the destination fee, which Car and Driver reports as part of the price, and it's unclear if the freight charge will change for any BMW models when the calendar turns to July. CarsDirect says the bulletin doesn't blame the import tariffs implemented by the U.S. government for the price hikes, instead stating that the rises are "in line with past pricing communications, and account for inflation and enhancements to standard equipment where applicable." Slight increases in the MSRP are common for new model years, but we wouldn't be surprised if the tariffs are also playing a factor. A previous report from Automotive News stated that BMW wouldn't raise prices on imported models until the end of June. We've reached out to BMW for comment regarding these reported price increases and will update the story if we hear back. Brett Adcock, co-founder and CEO of the humanoid robotics startup Figure AI, made a rare public appearance at the Bloomberg Tech conference on Thursday. Figure has recently been the subject of a couple news articles that questioned its progress with marquee customer BMW. Figure objected so strenuously to at least one of these reports that Adcock publicly threatened to sue the publication. When asked about the skepticism surrounding the BMW relationship and whether it is a pilot or has commercial value to the company, Adcock replied with an explanation of the technical benefit of having robots on a factory floor but didn't provide specifics about the contractual relationship with BMW. "We get a lot of value, and it's really important that we need to figure out how to run robots every day. We get to see how well they perform. We get to track all the metrics," he said. Two months ago, Figure also published a YouTube video showing a couple of its robots working in a BMW factory. Adcock did, however, say that Figure AI has signed a contract with a second, unnamed customer for initial deployment, a customer that Bloomberg has reported to be UPS. Figure AI has drawn attention for making claims that its AI-powered robots possess human-like fine motor skills and can manipulate objects with precision. Despite releasing numerous videos of its robots at work, the company hasn't done a live demonstration of the humanoids. The interviewer, Bloomberg's Ed Ludlow, pointed out that while two other robotics companies, Agility Robotics and Boston Dynamics, showcased their robots at the conference, Figure AI did not. 'It kind of goes back to our whole philosophy around we don't go to a lot of events," said Adcock. "I think it's a giant waste of time. To be frank, I have to bring a team here to bring robots here. They could be at the office,' he said, adding that the company is showcasing the robots in videos. Adcock confirmed that Figure AI is expecting to manufacture and deploy roughly 100,000 units within four years. The skepticism about Figure's commercial relationship comes amid the company's attempts to raise a $1.5 billion round at a $39.5 billion valuation, sources told Bloomberg, a fifteenfold increase from the $2.6 billion valuation it achieved in February 2024. TechCrunch reported in April that Figure AI has been issuing cease-and-desist letters to secondary market brokers, demanding they stop marketing its shares because they are not authorized to do so.
