China has sent the Da Yang Yi Hao vessel into the Indian Ocean region. China calls it a research vessel but it is used for spying. The vessel has advanced sonar sensors that can track submarine activity. It also has satellite uplinks which can help track low-orbit satellites. The Chinese ship seems to be heading to the Arabian Sea where the Indian Navy is deployed in big numbers as part of Operation Sindoor.
