Kush Maini (Video grab)
Indian motorsport witnessed a proud moment on Saturday as Kush Maini etched his name in history, becoming the first Indian to win a Formula 2 race at Monaco. Driving for DAMS Lucas Oil, Maini delivered a flawless, lights-to-flag performance to clinch the Sprint Race victory on the iconic streets of Monte Carlo.
The win marked Maini's maiden F2 triumph and his first podium finish of the season — one that couldn't have come at a more prestigious venue. Starting from pole courtesy of the reverse grid rule (having qualified 10th for the feature race), the BWT Alpine F1 reserve driver made a solid getaway and held his nerve across 30 high-pressure laps.

'P1 and first Indian to win at Monaco. It's a great honour and dream come true really. We keep believing,' said Maini, thanking DAMS and his long-time supporters after the win.

Captured in a video, he is seen engaging in a friendly match, sweating it out for a productive day off. With all his focus on the game and energetic presence on the ground, Aryan showcased both his love for the sport and fitness, leaving fans gushing over him. Aryan Khan's casual time out with friends comes amid rising anticipation for his directorial debut. Titled Ba***ds of Bollywood, the Netflix series is said to be a satirical take on the Hindi film industry, with many renowned names expected to make a cameo. The release date of the show is yet to be announced. Produced under Aryan's father Shah Rukh Khan's production house, the show also features Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan in cameo appearances, as Saif Ali Khan recently confirmed at Waves Summit 2025. The actor was speaking with Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos when he said, 'I have to say I saw a little bit of that show as well," adding, 'It looked fantastic. My kids have done a little appearance in it." Ted, too, added to the anticipation, as he said, 'We have a show called The Ba***ds of Bollywood coming up that is really fun, and I am going to leave the audience to try to figure out the title completely, but it is so fun. I am four episodes in." Even Karan Johar has spoken highly of Aryan Khan's talent, lauding his work in the most anticipated series. In a chat with Raj Shamani, the filmmaker said, 'I don't know if I'm even supposed to say this, but I have a huge belief in Aryan Khan's directorial talent. I don't want to say anything about his Netflix show, because he'll get very angry, but all I'll say is this: watch out. If there is a King, there will be a Prince. I can say this with confidence, because I've seen the show." While fans await the show's release date, it has been reported that Aryan Khan might skip the promotional events for the series. Nita Ambani hides her face, gives Aakash Ambani long, hard look as '6th title' prediction goes awfully wrong with MI out

Mumbai Indians were knocked out of IPL 2025 by a spirited Punjab Kings led by an on-fire Shreyas Iyer, marking a fifth year without a title for the most successful team in IPL and matching their longest trophy-less drought since the five years of the competition's history. For a team so accustomed to success, and therefore an ownership group that finds itself in consistent pursuit of it, a fifth year without a trophy or even a final is a big knock against arguably the most talented team in the tournament. This came to the fore during the broadcast from the ground, as MI owners Nita Ambani and Akash Ambani provided some reactions as the team's defence of 204 derailed and came apart in Ahmedabad on Sunday night. Sitting in their customary sofa right behind the boundary line, cameras picked up Nita Ambani not looking best pleased after Shreyas Iyer put MI's bowlers to the sword with one of his eight sixes on the night enroute to a special innings of 87*(41). She turned to her son with a look that suggested disappointment at what she was seeing on the pitch. Ambani had already reacted to a moment earlier in the game where Nehal Wadhera was dropped early in his innings, MI missing an opportunity to swing the momentum of the game in their favour as Trent Boult slipped and dropped the former MI southpaw. To make matters worse, the ball went for a boundary, leading to stressed reactions from both bowler and captain Hardik Pandya, as well as from Nita Ambani, as she hid her face in disappointment at that moment. With the Ambani mother-son duo having been consistent features of MI matches from their place on the sideline over the course of IPL 2025, they have provided consistent snapshots, some of which have come back to bite them with MI now eliminated. After MI beat Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium to seal their place in this year's playoffs, Ambani was seen holding up six fingers, indicating her belief in the team to go on and win a record-setting sixth IPL title. It wasn't to be for the team, as they had 200+ chased down against them for the first time in team history. Instead, it will be a battle between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and PBKS to decide which of these two teams can be the one to lift their first ever IPL title.
