Julia Lemigova Defends ‘Rude' Wife Martina Navratilova After RHOM Backlash

Yahoo2 days ago
This season of Real Housewives of Miami is full of drama and tea. And much of it is centered around Julia Lemigova, her wife Martina Navratilova, and Julia's former bestie Guerdy Abraira. The two have been feuding all season leaving fans confused. And their significant others have been swept up in the hurricane.
Julia and Guerdy's feud began almost immediately. Fans were surprised at how quickly it seemed to escalate and over something that seemed so trivial. And for all the twists and turns, it looks like the two remain on the outs. And fans aren't just calling out their bad behavior but also the reactions of their respective spouses.
Real Housewives of Miami's Julia Lemigova answered questions about wife Martina Navratilova during WWHL
There were moments when it seemed that perhaps Julia and Guerdy were ready to put the drama behind them. Or, at the very least, agree to a truce. But despite apologies being sent and the girls agreeing to keep their business between themselves, they just couldn't seem to stop involving the group in their drama.
On a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Julia addressed a bit of what was happening between her, Guerdy, Russell, and Martina.
Andy started it off by asking Julia if she wanted to know what the number one question from the fans. Julia seemed to brace herself as she said, 'Let me guess…' knowing full well what it was going to be about.
'Why did you expect Russell to be nice to you when you threw water at his wife, Martina was super rude to Guerdy, and all she did was fail to join a Zoom call?' Andy asked.
'It's complicated,' Julia answered. 'It wasn't that I was expecting Russell to be nice, I just wanted to talk to him like two humans. And I don't think Martina was rude to Guerdy. Martina is a little camera shy and she just wanted to keep to herself.'
Julia finished by saying, 'And she didn't want to make a scene at Lisa's party.'
Fans in the comments weren't having it though. Some said Martina was anything but camera shy and that it was really that complicated.
The Real Housewives of Miami airs on Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. You can stream it the next day on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

How This Legendary Singer-Songwriter's '60s Classic Became a #1 Dance Hit — and a 'Seinfeld' Plot Line

How This Legendary Singer-Songwriter's '60s Classic Became a #1 Dance Hit — and a 'Seinfeld' Plot Line originally appeared on Parade. As one of the most prolific and beloved songwriters in music history, Jimmy Webb is responsible for such classic hits as "Wichita Lineman," "Up, Up and Away" and "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" — but he initially had a tough time finding a singer for one of his most famous tunes, "MacArthur Park." Inspired by a painful breakup, Webb initially offered "MacArthur Park" to The Association, a group known for hits like "Cherish" and "Windy." Unfortunately, with its complex arrangement and unconventional lyrics, the song wasn't exactly what the pop stars were looking for. Then, in the summer of 1967, Webb met actor Richard Harris, who'd recently starred in the movie adaptation of the musical was interested in recording an album of his own. Included on Harris' 1968 album A Tramp Shining, "MacArthur Park" peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. In an interview with Songfacts years later — and following the death of Harris in 2002 — Webb praised the Harry Potter star for his performance on the track. "He brought a great kind of theatrical dignity to 'MacArthur Park' and to those songs," Webb said, adding, "And if he missed a note or he didn't carry it off particularly well as a singer, he had the actor's ability to step his way through the lyric and to speak some of the lines and basically to carry it off." As it turned out, the Harris version of "MacArthur Park" was only the beginning, as the tune's legacy would live on in more ways than one. In 1978, it was back on the charts — this time hitting number one — as a disco song by Donna Summer, who was looking for a song that would show off her vocal abilities, according to Stereogum. Jimmy Webb's MacArthur Park became a classic after the Richard Harris #2 hit (May 1968) and then the later a #1 hit by Donna Summer. Over the years, pop culture references have popped up - like this one in Seinfeld. #MacArthurPark #popculture — Jimmy Webb (@realjimmywebb) May 15, 2020 In the years since, fans haven't forgotten about "MacArthur Park" or the sad story it tells. The unforgettable lyrics even inspired a classic Seinfeld plot line about George (Jason Alexander) and a traumatic childhood memory involving him breaking a statue while singing the part about a cake being left out in the rain. The song also got the Weird Al treatment in 1993 with the parody "Jurassic Park" — further solidifying its place in the pop culture landscape for generations to This Legendary Singer-Songwriter's '60s Classic Became a #1 Dance Hit — and a 'Seinfeld' Plot Line first appeared on Parade on Aug 8, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Aug 8, 2025, where it first appeared.

Sadie Sink Rumored to Play Gwen Stacy in SPIDER-MAN: BRNAD NEW DAY — GeekTyrant

The Marvel movie rumor mill is constantly spinning for Spider-Man: Brand New Day , and now we are back onSadie Sink and the character she might be playing in the movie. A new report suggests her mystery role might finally be revealed. Internet scooper Kristian Harloff claims he's heard something 'pretty close to guarantee' about Sink stepping into the shoes of Gwen Stacy. This is something fans have been speculating about her character since she was cast. Other theories have ranged from Mayday Parker to Mary Jane Watson to Felicia Hardy, but if this report is true, Gwen Stacy could be swinging back into live-action. If confirmed, Sink would be the third actress to take on the role. Bryce Dallas Howard played Gwen in Spider-Man 3 (2007), while Emma Stone brought her to life in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and its sequel, where Gwen met her tragic end after Harry Osborn's Green Goblin caused her fatal fall. That version of the franchise reportedly had plans to resurrect her in a third movie that never happened. In the comics, Gwen is Peter Parker's college classmate and one of his great loves. With Tom Holland's Peter heading off to college in Brand New Day , introducing Gwen now would fit neatly into the timeline. Marvel has also reinvented the character in recent years as Spider-Woman, better known as 'Spider-Gwen', a hero who's become a central figure in the animated Spider-Verse films. On top of the Gwen Stacy rumor, its been rumored that Brand New Day will feature more villains than fans expect. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton with a script from Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the movie stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Sadie Sink, Michael Mando, and Liza Colón-Zayas, with several surprise roles still under wraps. Marvel Studios has Spider-Man: Brand New Day set for release on July 31, 2026. The studio has yet to confirm Sink's involvement as Gwen Stacy, so for now, fans will have to wait for the official word.
