From May 27 until Sunday, June 8, Tesco Clubcard members can pick up tickets for the latest movies at Cineworld for just £4 – which means exchanging only £2 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers at double their value for each ticket
Tesco has announced a huge shake-up to its Clubcard scheme for shoppers as part of its 30th birthday celebrations. The supermarket scheme has added a new Cineworld deal to its Rewards partner loyalty scheme.
From May 27 until Sunday, June 8, Tesco Clubcard members can pick up tickets for the latest movies at Cineworld for just £4 – which means exchanging only £2 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers at double their value for each ticket.

Shoppers can purchase up to four tickets at the discounted rate with each booking. This means a family of four could enjoy a cinema experience by using just £8 worth of Tesco Clubcard Vouchers.

To take advantage of the offer Tesco Clubcard members need to exchange a minimum of 50p in Clubcard vouchers through the Tesco app or Clubcard website and make a booking via the linked Cineworld site, paying for any value of the ticket not covered by their Clubcard Vouchers. The £4 deal is only Cineworld's standard 2D tickets.
Alongside this, Cineworld is also offering a £6 deal for Tesco Clubcard members. The cinema chain is giving movie-goers the chance to pick up a medium drink and bucket of popcorn for just £6 - you can upgrade to large for just an extra £1.
To get the drink and popcorn deal, customers must show their Clubcard when purchasing refreshments at the cinema.

Tesco Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson said: 'This is a big year for Tesco Clubcard as we mark 30 years of rewards for our Clubcard members.
'In 1995, the year Clubcard launched, some of the biggest movies included Toy Story, Batman Forever and GoldenEye, and thanks to this amazing deal with our Reward Partner Cineworld, Clubcard members can buy a ticket to watch some of today's biggest movies with just £2 worth of Clubcard Vouchers.'

Cineworld International President Javier Sotomayor added: 'Tesco have always been a great partner for us at Cineworld Cinemas, and we look forward to extending this partnership further in celebrating Clubcard's incredible milestone. We are excited to welcome customers to our cinemas and to feel more at Cineworld.'
The limited-time deal is part of the supermarket's celebration of 30 years of its Tesco Clubcard loyalty scheme. Since February this year, Tesco has been announcing new special deals, offers, and discounts for Clubcard members.
Shoppers can find out about all the deals the supermarket is offering in the Clubcard section of the Tesco app.

How do I get Tesco Clubcard vouchers?
Clubcard members can build up points when they shop at Tesco and there is a range of ways you can do this. You get:
One Clubcard point for every £1 spent in stores and online
One point for every two litres of fuel bought from Tesco forecourts
One point for every £1 spent on Tesco Mobile
One point for every £4 spent on a Tesco credit card, and
One point for every £1 spent using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card

Once you have collected enough Clubcard points, you can then convert them into vouchers. The minimum number of points you need is 150 - which will give you a voucher of £1.50. Once you have converted your points to vouchers they last for two years.
Tesco currently has over 100 Reward Partners including Disney+, Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Pizza Express, Legoland, Hotels.com, and Zizzi.
To redeem your Clubcard points with partners, you have to turn them into vouchers, and then into Partner Reward codes. If you choose to use them for a Rewards Partner, you get double the value of your points, so 500 points would be worth £5 in-store but £10 when spent with a Rewards Partner.
Under the rules, you can't collect Clubcard points on tobacco or tobacco-related products, lottery, stamps, prescription medicines, infant formula milk, Tesco gift cards, third party gift cards, saving stamps, in-store concessions, Paypoint payments or purchases of some Tesco Bank products.

Narinder Shergill, Vue UK & Ireland general manager, said: "We're so pleased that we've been able to keep providing visitors to The Cornerhouse, with somewhere to see the latest blockbusters, event cinema and classic favourites, and we look forward to opening our doors."

Tesco to close its Express stores an hour earlier after being hit by £235million in Rachel Reeves' tax raid

Tesco is set to close its Express stores an hour earlier after the supermarket giant was hit by a £235million rise in staff costs by Rachel Reeves ' tax raid. The chain is trialling shorter opening hours at the Express stores, it is understood, closing some at 10pm rather than the usual 11pm. Meanwhile, Tesco is also anticipated to have less staff running those stores during their opening hours, The Telegraph first reported. The changes were created to 'make things simpler for our colleagues and to ensure that we are running these shops in the most efficient way', a spokesman said - adding that the trial will take place in a number of stores. It comes after Tesco's chief executive Ken Murphy revealed the supermarket giant was doing its best to offset a burst of extra costs following Reeves' tax raid, which took effect from April this year. After the raid was announced, Tesco said it was facing a serious rise in its staffing bill, including a £235million increase in National Insurance contributions. Under the changes, employers fork out a tax equivalent to 15 per cent of their workers' pay packets, an increase from 13.8 per cent previously. Tesco is dealing with affected staff and considering individual circumstances and whether they need to transfer to another store, it is understood. A spokesman for the chain said: 'These changes aren't visible to our customers, who will continue to receive the same great service they expect, and there are no changes to the range of products we sell.' In April, Tesco warned its profits would drop by as much as 14per cent this year as it gets ready to invest £400million in price cuts.

Holiday goers rave over Tesco dupe of £1k Rimowa suitcases loved by celebs – they're under £30 and there's two colours

The original suitcases have been spotted with celebs like Zendaya and Cara Delevingne SHOP TO IT Holiday goers rave over Tesco dupe of £1k Rimowa suitcases loved by celebs – they're under £30 and there's two colours IF you're jetting off somewhere sunny this year and need a new suitcase, look no further than Tesco The supermarket currently has a dupe of the popular Rimowa brand in stores, and for a bargain price. 2 Libbie showed off her find on TikTok Credit: Tiktok/@libbiemayfitzpatrick 2 The dupes are available in both gold and silver Credit: Tiktok/@libbiemayfitzpatrick You've probably seen the Rimowa suitcases rolling alongside your favourite celebs and influencers without even realising. Stars like Zendaya, Cara Delevingne and Julianne Moore have been photographed with the stylish luggage before, but the Rimowa Classic Cabin will set you back a whopping £1,130 - and prices go up if you want a larger case too. Luckily, one savvy shopper spotted the dupe on the shelves of their local Tesco - and you'll save hundreds. Libbie Fitzpatrick took to TikTok to show off the find - and shoppers can even choose from gold or silver. In the viral video she said: "Get yourself down to Tesco because they've just brought out Rimowa-style suitcases and they are stunning!" The suitcases are priced at £65, but Clubcard shoppers can nab the luggage for just £27.50. Holiday goers took to the comment section of the clip to rave about the find, as one wrote: "They've been reduced a while now, over two weeks!" "I got the blue one a few weeks ago, they didn't have gold and silver then. Still prefer the blue. "Suitcases are so expensive these days so these are a good price on the deal," another wrote. But others weren't sure if plastic suitcases would be a good fit for airport chaos. My daughter is never going to school because our eight family holidays per year are more important - parents who only take trips during the official breaks are 'utter muppets' Meanwhile, others wanted to know if the suitcases were lightweight, "Please tell me it's light weight and won't take off my allowance," one said. And another agreed: "I don't like hard style cases, they weight a bit more so you can't carry as much." If you are on the hunt for a new suitcase that will stand the test of time, Captain Alexander York, who flies A380s for Emirates, shared his go-to bag that has yet to let him down. The 40-year-old has been using the exact same suitcase for over a decade and knows which cases are more likely to end up being duds. He told 9Travel: "I've been using a large hard case Samsonite for over 15 years and it's served me well." Hard-shell luggage is rigid and usually made of plastic or metal, while soft-shell cases are typically made of fabric and are more flexible. While he did not name a specific one, Samsonite said its hard-shell suitcases are typically made from "high-quality materials like polycarbonate or aluminium." Alexander recommended hard cases over soft ones, despite their higher weight, as he believes softer ones are at a greater risk of damage. He said: "I think bags with exposed wheels, or soft pouches are bound to be damaged, so I'd stick with the hard case."
