BMW M4 Driver Who Posted His High-Speed Exploits Online Arrested After 170-MPH Chase: Cops
For weeks, officers of the California Highway Patrol in Haywood, California were reportedly running into the same problem: a gray BMW M4 wouldn't stop running from them. But the driver wasn't just fast, according to police — posting videos of high-speed pursuits to his own Instagram and YouTube accounts. But the cat-and-mouse game finally came to an end last week, when the highway patrol finally managed to stop the speeding Bimmer and take its driver into custody. CHP Hayward said on Instagram that the drama started about a month ago, with the BMW reportedly taunting officers and sparking several pursuits. It wasn't subtle. "We are unaware of the exact number of posts he made, but we were able to find five different videos relevant to the case," Officer Mendibil told local outlet KRON4. The final act came early on the morning of August 6. With help from Air 37, a helicopter from CHP's Napa air unit, officers spotted the M4 again. True to form, the driver hit the throttle, reportedly reaching speeds of 170 mph — and attempted to disappear. This time, it didn't work. CHP says the driver was 33-year-old Jasnoor Singh Toor, who was arrested on charges of reckless driving and felony evading. Authorities seized his BMW M4 for 30 days under California Vehicle Code 14602.7. In a statement, the agency reminded the public that "no amount of attention is worth" risking lives with this type of high-speed driving. It's a lesson for any thrill seeker, the internet is forever and police scroll it too. CHP's blunt closing note in a post made that clear: "Don't run, We will catch you. Drive smart."You Might Also Like You Need a Torque Wrench in Your Toolbox Tested: Best Car Interior Cleaners The Man Who Signs Every Car

Uninsured driver who caused death of man in crash drove again while disqualified
An uninsured driver has been jailed after causing the death of a man in a crash. Danyaal Zubair, of Lucas Close, Maidenbower, was driving a black BMW 335 that he borrowed from a friend on the morning of February 9, 2023. The 28-year-old lost control of the vehicle and collided with a red Honda jazz travelling on the other side of the road after exiting the Ifield roundabout into Ifield Avenue westbound in Crawley. A third vehicle – a maroon Nissan saloon car – unable to stop in time, collided with the BMW on the eastbound side of the road. The driver of the Nissan suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Honda jazz was trapped inside the vehicle and after being freed was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Zubair was arrested at the scene after a DrugsWipe tested positive for cannabis. The driver of the Honda jazz, 78-year-old David Pollard, experienced medical complications from his injuries relating to the crash and died on February 13, 2023. Zubair was further arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving on March 10, 2023. He was released under investigation. He was charged with causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving and causing death by driving a vehicle while unlicensed or uninsured on July 31, 2024. He appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court on August 28, 2024, and pleaded not guilty to both offences and was released on bail. He again pleaded not guilty at Lewes Crown Court on September 25, 2024. Zubair changed his plea to guilty to causing death by careless driving and causing death by driving a vehicle while uninsured on March 24. He received an interim six-month driving disqualification ahead of his sentencing. Zubair took to the roads again and on April 22 he was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified and driving while uninsured. He was charged with the offences and appeared at Crawley Magistrates Court the next day, where he was jailed for 12 weeks. He appeared in Hove Crown Court on Friday, August 8, and was sentenced to two years imprisonment and given a three-year driving ban with a requirement to take an extended retest. 'Speeding and driving carelessly or dangerously are two of the 'Fatal Five' factors that often lead to serious or fatal collisions. "These incidents can have a devastating impact on everyone involved, as well as their loved ones. 'Our thoughts remain with David's family, and while we recognise that nothing will make up for the tragic loss of life, the sentencing today may bring some peace that the offender was brought to justice.'

Uncle of victim in deadly NJ car crash slams mom who allegedly helped driver son flee charges: ‘She shouldn't be walking free'
The family of the teenager killed in a horrific New Jersey crash slammed the accused driver for leaving his pal to die – and the motorist's mother for allegedly trying to help him dodge criminal charges. Parim Murati, the distraught uncle of 'one of a kind' 19-year-old Albion Hysenaj, railed Tuesday over the social media support for Vilma Vneshta, the mom accused of fleeing with her son Alvi Limani, 20, to Florida following the fatal smash-up that killed Hysenaj. 4 Ablion Hysena was remembered as one of a kind. Courtesy Hysenaj Family Advertisement 'People put posts saying 'It's a mother's love,' but how does my sister feel now?' Murati, 41, said of Hysenaj's mother, who is a single parent. 'People want to compare and say a mother would do that for their child, but nobody is putting themselves in my sister's shoes who actually lost a child.' Vneshta, 42, and Limani, 20, allegedly absconded to Florida with an eye on leaving the country following the horrific June 29 Garden State Parkway crash that stemmed from a street race turned tragic, according to authorities. Advertisement Vneshta and Limani were caught in Miami on July 17 and shipped back to the tristate area last week, the New Jersey State Police said. Vneshta is facing a count of hindering apprehension. 'I believe she deserves time, she deserves to go to jail as well,' Murati said. 'She shouldn't be walking free. Being a mother, she should've thought about what happened to my sister … What if they would've gotten him out of the county? We wouldn't have gotten any justice.' Facebook/Vilma Vneshta Murati is also disgusted at Limani, who is facing a slew of charges including aggravated manslaughter. He allegedly slammed into two cars on the parkway and rolled his BMW over, ejecting Hysenaj and one other passenger, who survived, from the car. 'How do you leave your friend? What if he could've saved him?' the uncle said. 'What if that little bit of help, put your hand on a wound there, what if he could've helped him? … he could've called 911, he could've done anything.' Advertisement 4 Limani was brought back to NJ last week. Tiktok/jhongb85 Hysenaj, a recent high school graduate and lifelong Staten Islander, loved video games and had dreams of becoming an entrepreneur. He helped his mother as much as possible at her job and could easily take apart a PC and put it back together without any training, his uncle said. 'My nephew was most definitely one of a kind, a loving, sweet little boy,' Murati said. 4 Vneshta was also arrested. Tiktok/jhongb85 'He basically lit up the room when he walked in the room. Always caring, always there for anyone. He was the type of person you could ask him something and he was gonna do it with a smile on his fase.' Staten Island resident Emily Harrington, 19, is also facing charges tied to the crash after she allegedly left the crash scene with Limani. The other driver involved in the fatal car racing, Jeter Ogando, 23, of Perth Amboy, NJ, is facing vehicular homicide and related charges.
