Archaeologists have recently made a discovery that transports us back 3,000 years, into the heart of a civilization that existed long before the Incas. A team of researchers has made surprising discoveries whose arrangement and condition hide behind them a ritual long forgotten by time.
Although it may sound like something that is completely unheard of and unsettling, the way these individuals were buried caught experts' attention and led to an investigation into what it might reveal about ancient beliefs.
What was the discovery about, and what makes it special
Archaeologists working on Peru's northern coast have found the skeletal remains of 14 individuals dating back around 3,000 years, and the signs suggest these were victims of ritual human sacrifice.
According to Reuters, the site lies near an alleged ceremonial temple of the Cupisnique culture, which was an ancient civilization that flourished more than a millennium before the rise of the Inca Empire.
These bodies are different from normal graves
These bodies were buried in a way that stands out starkly from other ancient graves in Peru, with their faces down and their hands tied behind their backs. According to Henri Tantalean, the lead archaeologist of the excavation, 'The way in which these individuals were buried is atypical, as are the traumas and injuries they suffered during life and the violence they endured'.
He added that the positioning of the bodies 'is a typical form of human sacrifice'.

What's more, these remains were not accompanied by the usual offerings or treasures archaeologists often find in rich, ceremonial burials. Instead, they were placed in simple pits within sand mounds, suggesting a different kind of ritual, one focused on sacrifice rather than honor or reverence.
Where has this discovery been made
The find was located in the La Libertad region, approximately 675 kilometers north of Peru's capital, Lima.
The discovery adds a new and somber dimension to Peru's already rich list of archaeological wonders, joining such iconic sites as Machu Picchu and the Nazca Lines.
This discovery allows us to look into the darker aspects of ancient ritual life in the region of northern Peru, shedding light on how early societies practiced spirituality, power, and sacrifice.
The absence of grave goods and the unusual burial arrangements hint at deep cultural beliefs that may have viewed such offerings as necessary in appeasing deities, demonstrating devotion, or asserting control.

Trump signs order easing commercial rocket launch rules, potentially aiding SpaceX

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday signed an executive order aimed at simplifying federal regulations governing commercial rocket launches, a step that could benefit Elon Musk's SpaceX and other private space ventures, Reuters reported. In a post on X, the White House wrote: 'MAKE SPACE GREAT AGAIN. @POTUS has signed an Executive Order to streamline regulations and foster a competitive commercial space industry, ensuring the United States maintains its leading role in the commercial use of space.' According to the White House, the order instructs the US Transportation Secretary to eliminate or fast-track environmental reviews for launch licenses handled by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). It also directs the secretary to remove 'outdated, redundant or overly restrictive rules for launch and reentry vehicles.' MAKE SPACE GREAT AGAIN 🇺🇸🚀@POTUS has signed an Executive Order to streamline regulations and foster a competitive commercial space industry, ensuring the United States maintains its leading role in the commercial use of space. — The White House (@WhiteHouse) August 13, 2025 'Innovative permitting processes discourage investment and innovation, limiting the ability of US companies to lead in global space markets,' Reuters cited the order. While Musk's SpaceX was not named in the order, Reuters noted it stands to gain the most from the changes, given its dominance in US launch activity, including missions for its Starlink satellite network, NASA, the Pentagon, and private customers. Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin, with its space tourism business, could also benefit from looser regulatory oversight. Musk has long criticised FAA procedures, arguing that environmental impact studies, mishap investigations, and licensing reviews have delayed testing of SpaceX's Starship rocket. The spacecraft is central to the company's long-term plans and to NASA's ambitions for returning astronauts to the Moon and eventually sending crewed missions to Mars. SpaceX's test program often pushes prototypes to failure to accelerate design improvements, an approach Reuters said has at times clashed with the FAA's safety and environmental mandates. Earlier this year, the FAA halted Starship test flights for nearly two months after back-to-back explosions scattered debris over Caribbean islands and disrupted commercial air traffic. The agency later expanded hazard zones before approving further launches. (With inputs from Reuters)

Trump insider makes bombshell claim on UFO and aliens: ‘Very credible people have…'

A Trump ally and the chair of the House Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, Rep Anna Paulina Luna of Florida, made several bombshell claims about aliens, UFOs, and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. The 36-year-old said that there is credible evidence about the existence of what they call 'interdimensional beings'. However, she did not get into specifics. U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) speaks to reporters as House Members depart after a vote. (REUTERS) Luna told Rogan she has viewed classified photographs of unidentified objects inside a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). According to her, these objects were 'not created by mankind' and could represent technology that surpasses current human understanding. Read More: Harvard, Trump administration near historic $500 million settlement to end federal funding freeze 'They call them interdimensional beings,' Luna said, suggesting such entities might navigate 'through the time spaces that we currently have.' Without revealing classified details, she added that credible witnesses have reported incidents involving movements beyond normal temporal or spatial limits. 'I think that they can actually operate through the time spaces that we currently have. I can tell you without getting into classified conversations that there have been incidents where very credible people have reported that there have been movements outside of time and space,' she added. The Florida Republican, a key Trump ally, noted that she plans to continue for answers and public access to 'previously hidden' information on UAPs. This comes only days after Vice President JD Vance spoke about exploring unidentified flying objects (UFOs). Man suffers rare bromism following ChatGPT diet tips. All about dangerous condition and its symptoms

Reuters The man told doctors that after reading about the negative effects of sodium chloride, or table salt, he consulted ChatGPT A case of bromism has come to light after a man developed this rare condition following an interaction with ChatGPT about removing table salt from his diet. An article in the Annals of Internal Medicine reported a case in which a 60-year-old man developed bromism, also known as bromide toxicity, after consulting Chatgpt, according to article described bromism as "ingestion of bromide can lead to a toxidrome known as bromism. "While this condition is less common than it was in the early 20th century, it remains important to describe the associated symptoms and risks, because bromide-containing substances have become more readily available on the internet," it case also highlights how the use of artificial intelligence (AI) can potentially contribute to the development of preventable adverse health outcomes. This was despite reading that 'chloride can be swapped with bromide, though likely for other purposes, such as cleaning'. Sodium bromide was used as a sedative in the early 20th admission, the patient shared that he maintained multiple dietary restrictions and that he distilled his own water at home. He was noted to be very thirsty but paranoid about water he was offered. According to the journal, Bromide toxicity, or bromism, was once a well-recognized toxidrome in the early 20th century that precipitated a range of presentations involving neuropsychiatric and dermatologic symptoms. Bromism was thought to have contributed to up to 8% of psychiatric admissions at that time, as bromide salts were found in many over-the-counter medications targeting a wide array of indications, including insomnia, hysteria, and READ: DOGE price forms golden cross for the first time since Nov 2024. Could a massive 300% surge be next? "The incidence of bromism declined dramatically when the U.S. Food and Drug Administration eliminated the use of bromide between 1975 and 1989 (3). However, case reports of bromism have reemerged within recent years, including from dietary supplements, bromide-containing sedatives, and excess cases of bromism may remain relatively rare, it remains prudent to highlight bromism as a reversible cause of new-onset psychiatric, neurologic, and dermatologic symptoms, as bromide-containing substances have become more readily available with widespread use of the internet," according to the journal. Bromism was diagnosed as the lab results of the patient were weird and his blood shows what looks like high chloride levels. You won't find bromide normally in your everyday food items but it can still get into your system from certain medications, supplements, or imported products. What's the problem with bromide? Your body doesn't get rid of bromide super quickly. It competes with chloride (yes, like in table salt) for space in your cells. When bromide sticks around, it starts messing with your nervous system. The symptoms of bromism headaches, confusion, memory problems, dizziness, slurred speech, tremors, and in severe cases, hallucinations or psychosis. Because the symptoms are vague, people sometimes go months without realizing bromide is the culprit.
