Fact Check: Posts claim photo shows Trump and Epstein with minor girl. Here's the truth
An image authentically showed Jeffrey Epstein posing with U.S. President Donald Trump and a young girl.
Rating:
An image that allegedly depicts a young girl posing with U.S. President Donald Trump and the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein regularly circulates online — and resurfaced again in early July 2025.
The renewed attention on the image followed a July 7 U.S. Department of Justice memo stating that the department's review found no incriminating "client list" and no credible evidence that Epstein had blackmailed prominent people. It also concluded that "no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted" in its investigation of Epstein. The next day, Trump responded to a reporter's question at a Cabinet meeting by saying, "Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy's been talked about for years."
For instance, one July 9, 2025, X post (archived) with the image referred to Attorney General Pam Bondi in its caption: "Hey Magas! This is what Barbie Bondi is protecting! If this doesn't make you angry you're part of the problem! 🤬."

The image has appeared over the years on multiple social media platforms, including Instagram and Reddit, as well as Chinese-language websites.
In short, we found the image contained numerous signs it was generated using artificial intelligence. For instance, the girl's left hand seemed to be deformed, along with the left sleeve of Trump's jacket.

Via a reverse-image search, we found a full-size version of the viral image shared on Quora.

In the original version of the image we spotted more indications the photograph was created artificially. For instance, the faces of people in the background were deformed, Trump had only one leg and Epstein seemed to be dissolving into the couch.

Given that the in-question photograph was created using AI software, we have rated it as fake.
We've fact-checked other Epstein- and Trump-related claims, including debunking a supposed photo of the men on a plane. In July 2023, we investigated another AI-generated image, allegedly showing Trump and Epstein posing with underage girls. That said, some viral photos of the pair together are genuine. Take this 1997 photograph, for instance, that was taken at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

Matt Bevin's ex-running mate Ralph Alvarado announces bid to replace Andy Barr in Congress
A familiar name in Kentucky politics is entering the race to replace U.S. Rep. Andy Barr in Congress. Ralph Alvarado, a former state senator and ex-Gov. Matt Bevin's running mate in his unsuccessful 2019 reelection campaign, announced July 17 that he plans to run to represent Kentucky's 6th Congressional District in the next election. In a social media post announcing the move, Alvarado called himself "Day One MAGA" with priorities to "close the border," "crush the woke left," "bring jobs home" and "save America." The seat will be on the ballot in the May 2026 primary. Election Day that fall is set for Nov. 3. Alvarado served in the state Senate from 2015 into 2023, when he was hired as Tennessee's health commissioner by Gov. Bill Lee, who touted Alvarado's background in hospital management and experience as chair of the Kentucky Senate Health and Welfare Committee. Senate President Robert Stivers, R-Manchester, praised the Winchester Republican at the time as "among the most effective legislators in the Kentucky General Assembly." Alvarado stepped down from his position running Tennessee's Department of Health on July 11, state leaders announced. Alvarado made history as the first Hispanic person elected to the Kentucky General Assembly when he won his seat in 2014. While he was raised in California, his mother is from Argentina and his father is from Costa Rica. He was chosen by then-presidential candidate Donald Trump to speak at the 2016 Republican National Convention, drawing praise afterward from U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell as an "impressive leader" with "a bright future in the Republican Party." Other Republicans in the 2026 congressional race include state Rep. Ryan Dotson, also of Winchester, and state Rep. Deanna Gordon, of Richmond, who confirmed she's running on July 9. State Sen. Amanda Mays Bledsoe, who represents Lexington, had been considered a potential contender but has said she does not plan to run. Democrats in the race include former state Rep. Cherlynn Stevenson of Lexington and former Lexington city council member David Kloiber. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has identified the district as one of 35 across the county that it hopes to flip in 2026. Barr is vacating the seat in order to run for the U.S. Senate seat currently occupied by McConnell. He's running in the Republican primary against former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron and Lexington businessman Nate Morris. Democratic state Rep. Pamela Stevenson is also running. Countdown to The National is on, as bobblehead mania takes over MLB, plus NFL rookie cards to watch
Collectors, we are two weeks away from The National Sports Collectors Convention. I repeat. Two. Weeks. Away from The National. We haven't even caught our breath from Fanatics Fest, yet we're already counting down the days before The Hobby descends upon Rosemont, Il. for one of the very best weeks of the year. I've been fortunate enough to attend The National multiple times, and I'm pretty convinced that if a card or piece of memorabilia exists, you'll be able to find it on the show floor. We were curious what members of the Mantel community were planning to hunt for at The National this year, and Mike Metzler pulled out a few of our favorite 'In Search Ofs' for a fun read… Mantel: Can't Find It Anywhere Else? Try The National Sports Card Convention The National isn't just a convention… it's the collector's Hail Mary, the one place where impossible grails suddenly feel within reach. Whether it's a Harry Heilmann card tied to a family legend, a PSA 10 Hulk Hogan from the ultra-rare 2013 Upper Deck Employee set (only 125 made, with no Hogan 10s surfacing since 2020), or the elusive junior-year high school card of John Smoltz, this is where the hunt gets personal. It's not always about value; sometimes it's about closure, purpose, or just proving the card exists. Sports Collectors Digest: Sports Memorabilia Dealer Raided, Admits Scamming Collectors, Hobby in $350M Fraud and Forgery Scheme In a still developing story, one of the largest autograph forgery rings in hobby history has been exposed, with dealer Brett Lemieux, founder of 'Mister Mancave', publicly confessing to forging millions of sports memorabilia items over the past two decades. Authorities raided his Westfield, Indiana facility, seizing merchandise allegedly worth up to $700M. Lemieux has admitted to faking autographs, holograms, and even developing a signature machine to fool COAs, en route to selling more than $350M in fraudulent items. With connections to nearly every major athlete and authentication company, Lemieux's operation may eclipse even the infamous Operation Bullpen. And last night it was reported that a dead body was found at Lemieux's warehouse, though at press time no more details were confirmed. Collectors are now left wondering how many "authenticated" items in their stash are actually fakes, as the whole industry turns their attention to this sad, still developing story. FOS: Baseball's Bobbleheads Are the Center of the Collectibles Universe Bobblehead mania is officially out of control, and incredibly collectible. Fans now show up hours before first pitch to stadiums across the country, braving summer heat and subway chaos for the chance to grab a limited-edition bobble, often reselling them for big profit before the game even gets underway. Designs have evolved beyond basic poses into creative collabs and cultural tributes (hello, Superman Judge and George Costanza Night), fueling a booming subculture and prompting the National Baseball Hall of Fame to dedicate an entire exhibit to them. Rising tariffs have jacked production costs, but between attendance bumps and eBay markups, teams are still all in. cllct: Mickey Mantle Jersey From 1960 All-Star Game Hits Auction Block A photo-matched, game-worn Mickey Mantle Yankees jersey inscribed 'No. 7' and authenticated across 13 images including the 1960 All-Star Game, is heading to auction at Heritage with a $4M estimate. Fresh to the hobby and unaltered (a rarity for gear from that era), the jersey was quietly acquired in the 1990s from a teammate's estate. It's been linked to multiple games across 1960 and 1961, including spring training and an exhibition with Roger Maris. If bidding meets expectations, it could join Mantle's elite memorabilia club, alongside his 1958 jersey ($4.68M) and a 2024 World Series gamer ($3M). IGN: Pokémon Card Shop in Japan Allegedly Robbed by Rival TCG Shop Owner Pokémon cards continue to be the ultimate high-stakes collectible, now doubling as bait for international heists. In the latest caper, a shop in Japan's Gifu Prefecture was hit for $92,000 in cash and cards, allegedly orchestrated with help from the manager of a rival card shop. It's the third arrest tied to the June 16 robbery, which involved a knife, a 3:30 a.m. break-in, and a flood of online outrage. Similar heists have struck Osaka, Melbourne, and Massachusetts, with six-figure losses becoming disturbingly common. Pikachu may not carry a wallet, but collectors clearly need safes. Mantel: Hidden Gems and Big Names: the NFL Rookie Cards to Watch in 2025 With 2025 Score Football hitting the market just in time for preseason hype, collectors are already placing bets on this year's NFL rookie class. Aside from the more obvious, early picks like Cam Ward and Travis Hunter, plenty of rookies are worth keeping an eye on, with cards currently trading at reasonable prices. Shedeur Sanders is a risky but intriguing QB play at $100. Further down, Tetairoa McMillan ($33), Tyler Warren ($35), and Matthew Golden ($45) offer solid value with potential upside. True bargain hunters may eye sleepers like Xavier Restrepo ($15), Tre Harris ($7.50), and Elic Ayomanor ($10), all of whom could be poised for big seasons. Donald Trump Continues To Play Dumb, Now Claims Barack Obama 'Made Up' Epstein Files
Source: Anna Moneymaker / Getty / Donald Trump After initially claiming he would release the Epstein Files, Donald Trump is now praising his boot-licking Attorney General Pam Bondi for not releasing them and is now claiming former president Barack Obama created them. Speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Felon 47 was asked if he agreed with Lara Trump calling for 'more transparency' from President Trump's Justice Department. 'The attorney general has handled that very well,' Trump said. 'And I think that when you look at it, you'll understand that. I would like to see that also. But I think the attorney general, the credibility is very important. And you want credible evidence for something like that.' Trump, who has been expressing his anger that his supporters are still fixated on the files associated with the alleged sex trafficker, Jeffrey r Epstein, was asked by another reporter if Pam Bondi advised him that his name was in the Epstein files. He, of course, denied that to be the case, and even found a way to take a classic play out of his optical playbook, 'blame Obama.' 'No, no,' Trump said. 'She's given us just a very quick briefing, and in terms of the credibility of the different things that they've seen, and I would say that, you know, these files were made up by Comey. They were made up by Obama. They were made up by the Biden [administration].' While Trump and his allies try to claim there is 'nothing to see here' regarding the Epstein files, social media is still giving Trump and anyone else who claims they are a big nothingburger the ultimate side eye. You can see those reactions in the gallery below. Donald Trump Continues To Play Dumb, Now Claims Barack Obama 'Made Up' Epstein Files was originally published on
