Fans of Bill Belichick have sounded the alarm after an interview with the NFL legend was hijacked by his age-gap girlfriend.
As the former head coach, 73, was quizzed about his relationship with Jordon Hudson, 24, she called out from off-stage: 'We're not talking about this.'
The uncomfortable encounter happened on Sunday as Belichick sat down with Tony Dokoupil on CBS Mornings to promote his new book.
Hudson, who was described by Dokoupil as 'a constant presence during the interview,' was lurking off camera.
Dokoupil began quizzing Belichick on the relationship and asked how the couple met.
But before Belichick, who looked scruffy in a tattered and torn sweatshirt, could even open his mouth a stony-faced Hudson interjected: 'We're not talking about this.'
The awkward moment immediately sparked controversy on social media, with many fans expressing their fears for Belichick's wellbeing.
'My Sunday morning routine is always coffee and CBS Sunday Morning. It's a feel good show. The opposite of controversial,' Dave Portnoy posted on X alongside a clip of the interview, which was released on Sunday morning.
'So imagine my surprise this morning when they had the most awkward Bill Belichick interview I've ever seen. Like I was squirming in my seat.'
Piers Morgan echoed the Barstool Sports founder, insisting the University of North Carolina head coach needed help.
'It was utterly excruciating. Mr Belichick needs a family or friend intervention asap,' the British media personality wrote, quote-tweeting Portnoy's post.
Other NFL fans agreed, with many appearing to suggest something troubling was happening behind the scenes.
'Yikes: This has to be the most awkward Bill Belichick interview he's ever done... Something strange is going on with Jordon Hudson,' one account shared.
'Did they hold Bill Belichick at gun point during this interview??? Holy hell man,' another added.
'She behaves like a handler…this is so odd. Soooo odd,' a third chimed in, while a fourth posted: 'Blink twice if u need help, BB.'
Meanwhile, another concerned fan asked: 'Is he sane? Is he ok?'
Other concerns were centered on Belichick's bedraggled appearance - in particular the ragged sweatshirt, which had multiple holes in it including a large tear near the front collar.
'What's with the tattered navy sweatshirt,' one social media user questioned, shocked at Belichick's choice of attire for national television.
Another baffled fan shared the sentiment, asking: 'He couldn't pick a better sweatshirt!?!?'
Belichick was also asked about his relationship with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, with whom he spent 24 seasons before they parted early last year.
Belichick has described the split as 'mutual', while Kraft has previously told the Breakfast Club the coach was 'fired.'
Regardless, Kraft was not mentioned at all in Belichick's new book, The Art Of Winning, and Dokoupil asked: 'Twenty-four years together, six Super Bowls - unless I'm wrong, he's not in this book. How come?'
'Well again, it's about my life lessons in football and it's really more about the ones that I experienced directly,' Belichick responded.
Dokoupil then shot back: 'He's not even in the acknowledgements section.'

'Correct,' Belichick shrugged, as the camera remained fixed on him for an uncomfortable few seconds.
Belichick was then asked if he felt he was treated with 'dignity and respect' when he was let go from his role with the Patriots, to which he responded: 'It was a mutual decision.'
Asked about the attention on his relationship with the much younger Hudson, Belichick said: '[I've] never been too bothered about what everyone else thinks. Just try to do what I feel is best for me and what's right.'
And despite Hudson's reluctance to talk in the CBS Mornings interview, she has previously documented their relationship on social media over the last year.
She recently posted on Instagram to celebrate Belichick turning 73.
'Wishing the happiest of birthdays to my twin flame,' the Miss Maine USA hopeful wrote in the caption.
