Rillie's 13 lead Northern Colorado over Montana State in Big Sky Conference Tournament 72-45
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Jaron Rillie had 13 points in Northern Colorado's 72-45 victory against Montana State on Tuesday in a semifinal game of the Big Sky Conference Tournament.
Northern Colorado will face the winner of Tuesday's other semifinal between No. 2 seed Montana and sixth-seeded Idaho on Wednesday night.
Rillie shot 5 of 12 from the field and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line for the top-seeded Bears (25-8). Brock Wisne scored 12 points and added five rebounds. Quinn Denker shot 4 of 6 from the field and 4 for 6 from the line to finish with 12 points.
The Bobcats (15-18) — seeded fifth — were led by Bryce Zephir, who recorded 11 points. Max Agbonkpolo added nine points for Montana State.
Northern Colorado led 29-17 at halftime and pulled away with a 15-2 run in the second half to extend an 11-point lead to 24 points.

PITTSBURGH — Jalen Ramsey hasn't been tasked with a role like he's been given in black and gold. The Pittsburgh Steelers' defensive back is getting used to his multiple responsibilities. The three-time first-team Associated Press All-Pro has bounced between cornerback, safety and nickel within Mike Tomlin's defense. He played all three during his college days at Florida State and said recently on 'The Pivot Podcast' that he gets bored while stationed solely on the perimeter. 'It's fun, for sure,' Ramsey said after practice at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Tuesday. 'Challenging at times. Just, you know, making sure I'm locked in on the various parts of it, but I enjoy it a lot. … When you go from different positions, you have to know different roles, obviously, know different alignments, assignments and different techniques. 'In a couple of those roles, I have to communicate frequently, whereas just playing outside, I don't really have to communicate as much (and) I can just kinda lock in on one specific thing.' Ramsey prides himself on providing versatility, leadership in the secondary and play-making ability. He's been fostering a stronger bond with his fellow covermen, namely Joey Porter Jr. and Darius Slay. Porter is in his third season as a pro, while Slay is much more seasoned. Both Ramsey and Slay have won Super Bowls. 'All of us have been connected one way or another in our past, whether that's through just friendships, playing on teams together or knowing each other outside of football,' Ramsey said. Before adding a green jacket to his wardrobe in April, Rory McIlroy was under the impression he'd sport the coveted piece at every opportunity if he ever won the Masters. Now four months removed from his triumphant playoff victory at Augusta National, the Northern Irishman revealed Tuesday ahead of the Tour Championship that he's 'reluctant to wear' the iconic jacket. 'It's not as if I wear it a lot. I have it hanging in my wardrobe in a place where I can see it every day. I always thought if I had one — if I did win the Masters one day — I'd never have the thing off, and it hasn't been that way. Auburn claims 4 additional ‘national championships' on its football résumé
AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn is claiming four additional football national titles and will call itself a nine-time champion moving forward. The Tigers, for decades, boasted titles in 1957 and 2010. They also claimed the 1913, 1983 and 1993 seasons as meeting national championship qualifications. Now, though, athletic director John Cohen is adding titles from 1910, 1914, 1958 and 2004 to the program's résumé. It's laudable by some and laughable by others. 'For too long, Auburn has chosen a humble approach to our program's storied history — choosing to recognize only Associated Press national championships,' Cohen told On3 for a story announcing the decision Tuesday. 'Starting this fall, we have made the decision to honor the accomplishments of our deserving student-athletes, coaches and teams from Auburn's proud history. 'Our visible national championship recognitions now align with the well-established standard used by the NCAA's official record book and our peers across the nation.' The Associated Press, which began handing out its annual national championship trophy in 1936, credits Auburn with two titles: 1957 and 2010. Banners recognizing those seasons hang inside Jordan-Hare Stadium. The other titles Auburn is claiming have varying degrees of validity.
