US Director of National Intelligence: World on brink of nuclear destruction
Washington-Saba:
US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declared that "the world is on the brink of a nuclear conflict, with the consequent devastation of humanity."
Gabbard said on her YouTube channel, as reported by the Russian news agency Sputnik, "Today we are closer to the brink of nuclear annihilation than ever before, and political elites and warmongers are recklessly stoking fear and tensions between nuclear powers."
According to Gabbard, this situation has become possible because the world's elites believe that, unlike ordinary people, they have the ability to access nuclear shelters for themselves and their families.
She added, "That's why we, the people, must speak out and demand an end to this madness."
Last April, US Vice President J.D. Vance said in an interview with the Charlie Kirk show on the Internet that "Kyiv will not win the conflict if military action continues in the coming years, but a nuclear escalation scenario is possible."
According to him, if military action does not stop, it "could lead to escalation, to a nuclear war."

In remarks reported by the American Fox News network, Trump said in response to a question about the departure of families of US diplomats due to the escalation with Iran: "They're being taken out now because it could get dangerous, and we'll see what happens, and we've given them a heads-up to get out." Regarding Iran, Trump added: "They can't have a nuclear weapon, very simple. They can't have a nuclear weapon, and we won't let them." Last Wednesday evening, a US official told Sputnik: "Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has authorized the voluntary departure of military families from locations within the Central Command's area of responsibility." Putin: Nuclear Triad remains main guarantor of Russia's sovereignty
Moscow - Saba: Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that the nuclear triad will remain the guarantor of Russia's sovereignty, noting that it plays a pivotal role in ensuring the balance of power in the world. According to Sputnik, Putin added during a meeting on the government's arms program: "Special attention must be paid to the nuclear triad (i.e., the three military vehicles carrying nuclear weapons: strategic bombers, land-based ballistic missiles, and submarine-launched ballistic missiles), which has been and remains the guarantor of Russia's sovereignty and plays a key role in ensuring the balance of power in the world." Putin explained that the share of modern weapons in Russia's strategic nuclear forces is 95%, the highest percentage among all nuclear powers in the world. Putin indicated that the focus of the new government arms program should be on developing the most modern weapons systems, saying: "It is also clear that the focus of the new government program should be on creating the most modern weapons systems." He added, "In April of this year (2025), we discussed how to increase the volume of supplies and improve the efficiency of using weapons and equipment to solve the tasks of the special military operation. The measures identified then are being implemented." He continued, "However, these measures, in essence, are operational in nature and are being implemented as soon as possible, in real time, based on current needs." He added, "Today we will begin a series of traditional special working meetings, during which we will analyze the main parameters of the upcoming state armament program." Putin called for strengthening the combat capabilities of the Russian Ground Forces as quickly as possible and creating a reserve for their development. Putin emphasized the need for Russia to take into account global trends in the development of military technologies, noting the growing number of countries actively working in this direction. Earlier in the day, Sergei Ryabkov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, stated that Russia's nuclear deterrent capability was not affected by the Ukrainian drone attack on Russian military airfields.
