Cultural District 2025 transforms Ong Ang Canal into a living museum

Time Out09-07-2025
If there's one thing we can count on in Bangkok, it's that the city never runs out of creative events. This time, Museum Siam is joining forces with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) for an art festival called Cultural District 2025.
Running from July 11–13, this extravaganza comes with a theme, ' Phra Nakhon on Ong Ang: BKK by the Canal', transforming the historic Ong Ang Canal into a living museum. Expect dynamic murals, eye-catching projection mapping and interactive installations that bring the Big Mango's cultural memory back to the surface.
The fair spans six landmark buildings along the canal, which will be turned into massive canvases by a mix of local and international artists. Highlights include Ong Ang of Yesteryear by Dewy (Chanin Sriboon) at the MSM Building, Layers of Time: A Memory of Tramways Past and Present by Karoon Jeamviriyasatean at the S. Ampaiyon Building and Evolucar, a projection mapping piece by Phiphat Sawangwong-anan, lighting up the T. Siriyon Building on Boriphat Road.
There's more than just art on walls as well. Expect panel talks, workshops and historical walking tours led by artists, designers and cultural historians. You can also check out the Ong Ang Art Market, where you'll find handmade crafts, street food and live performances by BMA's Music Division.

These 20 stocks are working on everything from early diagnostics to drug discovery. The best part - they are all under $10bn in marketcap - there is still time to get in early. A look at the shareholders of EQT Corporation (NYSE:EQT) can tell us which group is most powerful. We can see that institutions own the lion's share in the company with 88% ownership. In other words, the group stands to gain the most (or lose the most) from their investment into the company. And last week, institutional investors ended up benefitting the most after the company hit US$33b in market cap. The one-year return on investment is currently 67% and last week's gain would have been more than welcomed. Let's take a closer look to see what the different types of shareholders can tell us about EQT. See our latest analysis for EQT What Does The Institutional Ownership Tell Us About EQT? Many institutions measure their performance against an index that approximates the local market. So they usually pay more attention to companies that are included in major indices. We can see that EQT does have institutional investors; and they hold a good portion of the company's stock. This suggests some credibility amongst professional investors. But we can't rely on that fact alone since institutions make bad investments sometimes, just like everyone does. If multiple institutions change their view on a stock at the same time, you could see the share price drop fast. It's therefore worth looking at EQT's earnings history below. Of course, the future is what really matters. Since institutional investors own more than half the issued stock, the board will likely have to pay attention to their preferences. EQT is not owned by hedge funds. The Vanguard Group, Inc. is currently the largest shareholder, with 12% of shares outstanding. BlackRock, Inc. is the second largest shareholder owning 7.6% of common stock, and Wellington Management Group LLP holds about 6.9% of the company stock. After doing some more digging, we found that the top 15 have the combined ownership of 50% in the company, suggesting that no single shareholder has significant control over the company. Researching institutional ownership is a good way to gauge and filter a stock's expected performance. The same can be achieved by studying analyst sentiments. Quite a few analysts cover the stock, so you could look into forecast growth quite easily. Insider Ownership Of EQT The definition of company insiders can be subjective and does vary between jurisdictions. Our data reflects individual insiders, capturing board members at the very least. Management ultimately answers to the board. However, it is not uncommon for managers to be executive board members, especially if they are a founder or the CEO. I generally consider insider ownership to be a good thing. However, on some occasions it makes it more difficult for other shareholders to hold the board accountable for decisions. Our most recent data indicates that insiders own less than 1% of EQT Corporation. It is a very large company, so it would be surprising to see insiders own a large proportion of the company. Though their holding amounts to less than 1%, we can see that board members collectively own US$229m worth of shares (at current prices). In this sort of situation, it can be more interesting to see if those insiders have been buying or selling. General Public Ownership The general public-- including retail investors -- own 11% stake in the company, and hence can't easily be ignored. While this size of ownership may not be enough to sway a policy decision in their favour, they can still make a collective impact on company policies. Next Steps: While it is well worth considering the different groups that own a company, there are other factors that are even more important. Packers rookie OT Anthony Belton on five penalties in one quarter: I've got to learn quick

Packers rookie offensive tackle Anthony Belton had some company from head coach Matt LaFleur on his way off the field at the end of the first half on Saturday, but it wasn't a pleasant conversation. Belton was penalized five times during the second quarter of Green Bay's game against the Colts. He was flagged for a false start, unnecessary roughness and a facemask violation before drawing two illegal formation penalties just before halftime. One of those illegal formation calls wiped out a touchdown and the entire quintet was on LaFleur's mind when he spoke to the second-round pick on the way into the locker room. "Just drive killers,' Belton said, via Ryan Wood of 'All the penalties were drive killers. That touchdown was called back because of self-inflicted penalties. Stuff like that can't happen. I've just got to grow up. I've got to get out of those old habits. I've got to learn quick. And that's something I'm on myself about. That's not directly what he said. That's what I'm on myself about.' Belton had a better time of it in the third quarter. Running back Amar Johnson was trying to finish off a touchdown run against stiff opposition and Belton helped get him there by plowing into the pile to push his teammate over the line. The Packers will be looking for more of that and fewer penalties in the weeks and months to come.

What Nottingham Forest need to complete Douglas Luiz deal with Juventus

Recent reports claim that Nottingham Forest have an agreement on personal terms with midfielder Douglas Luiz, but the Premier League side still need to increase their offer to Juventus in order to close the deal. Juventus are looking to offload Douglas Luiz just one year on from his €50m arrival from Aston Villa, following what has been an underwhelming start to life in Italy for the Brazilian, which included just three Serie A starts in 2024-25. Several Premier League sides have expressed an interest in signing the Brazilian this window, but Football Italia understands that Nottingham Forest have been leading the race for several weeks. Forest have Douglas Luiz agreement, but no Juventus deal LEWISBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – JUNE 14: Douglas Luiz #26 of Juventus arrives at the airport prior to the official FIFA Club World Cup 2025 on June 14, 2025 in Lewisburg, West Virginia. (Photo by) According to recent updates from Fabrizio Romano and Forest have an agreement in place over a long-term contract with Douglas Luiz himself, but have not yet settled the deal with Juventus. Forest's opening offer reportedly stood at €30m, which the Bianconeri deemed too low. Calciomercato explains that Juventus require a fee in the region of €39m if they are to avoid making a capital loss on Douglas Luiz after only one year, given the €50m fee they spent last summer. Sunday's report suggests that an increase of a couple of million from Forest's original offer with the inclusion of performance-related bonuses, some easily achievable, could be enough to convince Juventus into selling.
