Ashutosh Gowariker has a cheeky reply when told he isn't ‘visible' after Lagaan, that Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam is his film
Ashutosh Gowarikar reacts to Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam being called his film
A media personnel told Ashutosh that they often watch their film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The filmmaker corrected them quickly and said, 'That's Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film.' When he received an apology, he said, 'That's okay,' with a smile. At the awards announcement,
Ashutosh was also told that he was not 'visible' and 'went silent' after Lagaan. The filmmaker cheekily replied, 'So, I think you stopped going to the theatre after Lagaan.' When asked about The Kerala Story being controversial, yet receiving two awards, he said there were 'deliberations' in the jury about it, but that they announced the awards only after a unanimous decision was made.
Ashutosh debuted in Bollywood with the 1993 film Pehla Nasha, gaining fame after the 2001 Aamir Khan-starrer Lagaan. In 2001, he made Swades with Shah Rukh Khan and Jodhaa Akbar with Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in 2008. His most recent film was the 2019 Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt-starrer Panipat, which failed to make a mark.

Tamannaah Bhatia recalls working with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan: ‘He rehearsed continuously for two and a half hours'
Actor Tamannaah Bhatia recently reflected on her collaborations with the Khan duo — Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. While she once shared the stage with Salman, it was an ad shoot that brought her together with SRK. Recalling the experience, Tamannaah mentioned performing with Salman Khan during the Da-Bangg The Tour Reloaded in Dubai, where they danced to the popular track 'Munni Badnaam'. In an interview with The Lallantop, she was shown a photo from that memorable performance. Reacting to same, she said, 'The one and only Salman. It's a picture from Dubai. He is so inspiring. When I saw him on the tech rehearsal, he was on the stage without stopping for two and a half hours.' Tamannaah added, 'The music was on, other people were entering and leaving the act, he was continuously there, I don't know how. To stand on the stage for so long, it needs a lot of energy. When he did the tech, I understood that it's such a long process.' ALSO READ | Ten years later, I still don't care why Kattappa killed Baahubali: Was SS Rajamouli's fantasy drama even that great? Tamannaah Bhatia collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan on an ad film for an online clothing brand, as well as a commercial for another brand's ethnic wear collection. When displayed a picture of the duo, she instantly smiled and said, 'The one who has made us know what love is. I remember that we shot an ad film and Shah Rukh took a photo with each and every person. There were around 200 people on the set on that day; he took a picture with everyone.' The host was quick to ask why she called Ajay Devgn 'sir' but didn't do the same for Shah Rukh Khan. 'When I met Ajay, I have a memory from when I was young. Humesha uss age mein, vo point vahin par atak jaata hai (You get stuck in that particular time loop). I have a memory of him from there, that's why I call him 'sir'. I worked with Shah Rukh much later.' On the professional front, Tamannaah Bhatia was last seen in Sikandar ka Muqaddar, opposite Avinash Tiwary and Jimmy Shergill. She has Odela 2, Amazon Prime Video's Daring Partners, and director Jagan Shakti's next in the pipeline.
