Jaquith was just about to host her show on local CBS affiliate WRGB when she shocked her colleagues by going into labor.
Co-anchor Julia Dunn started off the newscast saying, "We do have some breaking news this morning, literally.
"Olivia's water has broke and she is anchoring the news now in active labor."
"Early labor," Jaquith chimed in.
The host said she had one contraction beforehand, but brushed off Dunn's suggestion that she should go home.
"It's been a few minutes since then, so we're still in good shape," the soon-to-be-mother said.
"Her decision to stay on the desk by the way," Dunn added.
The two hosts then pointed to the upper right-hand corner of the screen, where a red box read "Days past due date: 2."
Jaquith first announced her pregnancy in February after running the Disney Princess half-marathon with her sister.
"Well, I'm happy to be here and I'll stay on the desk for as long as I can," Jaquith said.

Off-air, Dunn shared a video on Facebook of the expecting mother going into labor.
"Guys, this isn't April Fools. Olivia's water broke in the newsroom," she said in shock.
Dunn then passed the phone to a confused but excited Jaquith and asked her to fill in the viewers on what's going on.
"I don't know what's going on, this is my first time. I'm new here," she laughed.
"Yesterday I was getting cramps when I was on the desk and I didn't really think anything of it...this morning I got up to go pee, but then stuff just kept coming out."
After explaining how Jaquith found out she was going into labor, Dunn asked her co-host why she decided to stay at work.
WRGB Statement
News director Stone Grissom said:
"We couldn't be more thrilled for them. From her on-air pregnancy announcement earlier this year to running a half-marathon while expecting, Olivia has met every stage of this journey with grace and grit. Today was no exception. Olivia's passion for storytelling, love for her hometown, and commitment to our viewers have always been evident. We're overjoyed to soon welcome our newest (and tiniest!) member."
"I think I could get through a three-hour show," Jaquith replied as she typed on her computer.
The two anchors continued laughing as Dunn told viewers that they should watch the news to support the expecting mother.
News Director Stone Grissom said the station "couldn't be more thrilled" for Jaquith.

Haunted doll's handler says it's not responsible for disasters while on tour
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A cursed doll rumored to have gone missing while touring the US with a traveling exhibit is being blamed for local disasters including a fire and a jailbreak. The 'Annabelle' doll, which some believe is demon-possessed and was featured in The Conjuring horror films, is on a paranormal tour along with other items belonging to her ghost hunter owners. Word on the street in mid-May was that Anabelle vanished while stopping at the Ghost City Tours office in New Orleans. It happened to be the same week that a fire tore through a nearby plantation and 10 prisoners escaped from a jail. But Tony Spera, the owner of the Warren Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut, said that Annabelle is 'safely back' there locked in her display case. 'You know, it's easy for rumors to start. The fact of the matter is, that doll was never out of our sight, never out of our control,' Spera told NBC News this week. 'It's in a protective case that many precautions were taken to make it safe.' Paranormal investigator Ryan Buell sought to further quell rumors by posting a video on Facebook on May 24 of himself at the museum. 'She's not in Chicago, she never was in Chicago, and she's not missing because she's right behind me,' said Buell, while pointing the camera towards him with the doll sitting in the case over his shoulder. Still, social media users and conspiracy theorists have been skeptical about those accounts of Annabelle's whereabouts. A blaze destroyed the Nottoway Plantation House between Baton Rouge and New Orleans on May 15, and the very next day, inmates escaped from the Orleans Justice Center. Annabelle was touring in New Orleans on May 13 and 14, and among the precautions that were taken were having a Catholic priest alongside the doll. Some people are 'absolutely convinced' that Ghost City Tours is at fault for the fire and jailbreak, said its founder Tim Nealon. One Facebook user asked why Annabelle wasn't left at the Connecticut museum and wrote on Ghost City Tours' page: 'Did it cross your mind maybe she was there for a reason. Some things are better left alone.' 'I did not think people were taking it seriously, I kept seeing jokes about it on Instagram and TikTok,' Nealon told USA Today. 'But, I didn't realize people were out here like, actually thinking that this was legit.' More Trending Spera said he doesn't blame people for being skeptical. 'If people don't know about the demonic, it's very difficult to believe that these thing are happening,' he said. 'But they do happen.' Annabelle has been on sold-out tours across the US – and Buell said that plans are underway for her to be at the Rock Island Roadhouse Esoteric Expo in Illinois on October 4. Screaming woman removed from Sean 'Diddy' Combs trial after explicit outburst
A woman was removed from the courtroom during Sean 'Diddy' Combs' court trial this morning, after screaming and disrupting the proceedings. The 55-year-old is facing charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution – he has denied all allegations against him. The hearings kicked off last month in New York, with Cassie Ventura and Kid Cudi among those who have taken the stand so far. As proceedings began earlier today, multiple US outlets report that Judge Arun Subramanian was forced to take action when a woman began yelling 'Diddy' and a string of profanities. People Magazine reports that she yelled: 'These motherf**kers are laughing at you. 'You're laughing at a Black man's legacy.' Combs is thought to have remained seated during the incident, but turned around when Judge Subramanian ordered officers to remove the woman. More Trending Jury members were not in the room at the time, but were escorted in shortly before Eddy Garcia – a former security supervisor at the InterContinental hotel in LA – appeared in the witness box. The heckler has not yet been identified but, according to the Washington Post, told reporters after her exit: 'I'm tired of seeing everyone treating Diddy the way they are. 'I said my piece.'
