Underground Festival set to take over Gloucester

The Underground Festival 2025 is set to take over Gloucester.
The one-day event will take place on Saturday, March 29, from 3pm until 10.30pm.
The festival will see a number of artists perform across four venues in the city centre.
The venues are Gloucester Guildhall, Blackfriars Priory, The Thirsty Pine, and Café René.
The line-up includes acts such as As Everything Unfolds, Lake Malice, Failstate, Death is a Girl, Aniya Falls, Red Swan, Lexie Carroll, Bottlemoth, Perkie, Saint Senara, George Montague, Happydaze, 4Ft Fingers, Broken Jaw, Sorry Park, Sweetmouth, Redeemon, HKH, Mosaic, I The Lion, Truck, Allear, Avow, Quadrodisco, and Dan Cooper.
There will also be an afterparty at Dick Whittington's with DJ Damo, from 10.30pm till late.
Tickets for the festival are 'pay what you choose', from £5, and are available to buy now. See the Gloucester Guildhall website for details.
The festival is open to people aged 14 and over, however, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Today in history: On Nov. 24, 1991, Queen singer Freddie Mercury died in London at age 45 of AIDS-related pneumonia. Also on this date: In 1859, British naturalist Charles Darwin published 'On the Origin of Species,' which explained his theory of evolution by means of natural selection. In 1865, Mississippi became the first Southern state to enact laws that came to be known as 'Black Codes' aimed at limiting the rights of newly freed Blacks; other states of the former Confederacy soon followed. In 1947, a group of writers, producers and directors, who would become known as the 'Hollywood Ten,' was cited for contempt of Congress for refusing to answer questions about alleged Communist influence in the movie industry. In 1963, Jack Ruby shot and mortally wounded Lee Harvey Oswald, the accused assassin of President John F. Kennedy, in a scene captured on live television.
