Eletrobras to deploy C3 AI Grid Intelligence across transmission network
Eletrobras is deploying C3 AI Grid Intelligence across its transmission network to transform real-time operations and accelerate grid resilience throughout Brazil.
Following a successful initial rollout at ten substations in 2024, the utility is now scaling the technology to enhance its transmission assets under the Eletro.ia programme.
The C3 AI Grid Intelligence application, built on the C3 Agentic AI Platform, provides operators with real-time contextual information, accelerates fault response, and contributes to improved grid stability and compliance.
The integration of C3 Generative AI is also streamlining operational reporting, enabling operators to prioritise more impactful tasks.
Eletrobras executive manager of protection, automation and control of operation systems Pablo Flores said: "C3 AI's ability to support a real-time operations centre with an operations-ready platform and end-user focused solutions was core to our decision to partner with C3 AI.
"Eletrobras is modernising critical network monitoring processes, allowing us to effectively and quickly respond to incidents to ensure grid stability and availability."
The C3 AI Grid Intelligence solution is capable of detecting alarms, clustering faults and providing decision-making intelligence in under ten seconds during outages, significantly reducing response times from several minutes or even hours.
C3 AI chairman and CEO Thomas M. Siebel said global energy expansion and resilience remains a primary focus for the company.
"Our work with Eletrobras reinforces C3 AI's position as the trusted Enterprise AI provider for critical infrastructure and highlights the power of our platform in delivering operational transformation across the global energy sector,' Siebel said.
In October 2024, Eletrobras signed a memorandum of understanding with Ocean Winds to explore offshore wind energy opportunities in Brazil.
"Eletrobras to deploy C3 AI Grid Intelligence across transmission network" was originally created and published by Power Technology, a GlobalData owned brand.

Roamly introduces AI-powered Carshare insurance platform
Insurtech company Roamly has launched its AI-powered Carshare insurance platform targeting shared vehicle and mobility sectors. The platform's introduction follows the company's recent accreditation as a Lloyd's of London Coverholder. Roamly Carshare is engineered to work with stakeholders including marketplaces, fleet operators, mobility services and transportation networks. Utilising a blend of machine learning, telematics and AI technologies, the platform aims to refine the insurance underwriting process, expedite claims automation and provide tailored risk management solutions. The platform is designed with an API (application programming interface)-first no code approach, allowing for integration of insurance services within the existing booking, checkout and fleet management processes. It can be integrated into a fleet rental management software-as-a-service (SaaS) tool. This allows for direct customer bookings through operators' own branded websites and the ability to manage fleets across multiple locations. Currently, the Carshare platform insures 7,000 vehicles, with plans to expand to more than 12,000 units by 2025, supporting both carsharing and ridesharing scenarios. A key feature of the Carshare platform is its integration with Wheelbase, Roamly's fleet management SaaS system, which facilitates direct booking. This feature enables operators to directly engage with customers while also providing the option to list on third-party marketplaces. The insurance coverage extends to periods when vehicles are parked, used for personal purposes, or operated on rideshare platforms such as Uber and Lyft. Roamly CEO Jeff Cavins said: "With our AI-powered Carshare solution, we are breaking down that barrier – offering scalable, affordable and fully embedded insurance coverage that helps operators grow with confidence and protects consumers who participate in the marketplace economy. "The Carshare product has been strong coming off launch, and will generate more than $12m in premium by the end of the year.' Nuvei partners with Zuora to enhance subscription payment solutions
Canadian fintech firm Nuvei has integrated with monetisation platform Zuora, aiming to power subscription payments. The alliance is intended to provide Zuora's customer base with payments infrastructure that can help facilitate expansion into both existing and new markets. The collaboration combines the strengths of Zuora's monetisation capabilities with Nuvei's acquiring network, which includes support for various local payment methods and the ability to optimise transactions in real time. Nuvei CEO and chair Phil Fayer said: 'This integration with Zuora reflects our ability to support complex, high-volume businesses with agile, modular payment solutions, particularly in growth markets like Latin America, where consumer demand for subscription services is accelerating.' The integration is designed to simplify the recurring payment process for businesses, potentially improving transaction approval rates, reconciliation, and simplifying market growth that requires numerous local integrations or partnerships with multiple PSPs. Zuora vice president of strategic partnerships and M&A Daniel Enekes said: 'This partnership marks a significant step in scaling the global reach of Zuora's monetisation platform. 'As more enterprises adopt recurring revenue models, especially in high-growth markets, our integration with Nuvei empowers them to scale subscription, usage-based, and hybrid offerings with the agility, compliance, and local payment sophistication needed to succeed worldwide.' Zuora's platform offers tools for businesses to develop and scale their operations, accommodating a variety of pricing models, including usage-based and subscription bundles. The platform spans several functions, such as pricing, packaging, billing, payments, and revenue recognition, all structured to aid companies in adjusting and expanding their monetisation strategies.
