Bollywood actress Kajol, who is gearing up for the release of her film, 'Maa," took to social media to share a heartfelt glimpse from a special evening spent in the company of both her mother, Tanuja, and her mother-in-law, Veena Devgan.
Taking to Instagram, the 'Dilwale' actress shared a couple of her photos from a recent event for her upcoming film and captioned it, 'Wrapped in love, laughter, and maa ki blessings……both on screen and off. What a night! #MaaTheFilm #onedaytogo." In the first image, Kajol is seen smiling as she poses next to her mother, Tanuja, and her mother-in-law, Veena Devgn. A candid shot that follows captures the actress lovingly hugging her mother as they pose together. In the subsequent pictures, Kajol is seen posing with her husband and actor Ajay Devgan, son Yug, sister Tanishaa Mukerji, Renuka Shahane, and other family members. Kajol looked radiant in a white and gold saree, which she paired with statement earrings.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview with IANS, the 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' actress shared that working on the horror film was emotionally draining, as each scene demanded intense, sustained tension and high-strung emotions throughout.
'It took a lot from me because of the fact that it's a horror film. I didn't realise that when I would be doing a horror film, there would be such a pitch to the entire film because I am not a horror watcher. So, I didn't realise that there was this certain pitch to every horror film that's there. That there's an emotional pitch and especially when it's so tight, you know, there's so much happening."
Kajol added, 'And yes, it was very, very draining as an actor also. Very emotionally draining as an actor to constantly keep that pitch 24×7 all the time in every shot."
Directed by Vishal Furia, 'Maa" is a mythological horror drama featuring Kajol in the lead role. The film also stars Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma in key roles. It is scheduled to hit theatres on June 27.

Raj, previously had worked as an assistant director to actor and director Pradeep Ranganathan, who had a significant role to play in the successes of both 'Love Today' and 'Dragon'. Archana Kalpathi will take on the role of Creative Producer for this yet-untitled film, while her sister Aishwarya Kalpathi will be the Associate Creative Producer. S.M. Venkat Manickam will be the executive producer of this project. Sources say that apart from the lead actors, the film will also feature actors Vivek Prasanna , John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, Pawan, Dileepan, Vinod Sagar and Bala Hasan R in important roles. On the technical front, the film will have music by Ravi Basrur and cinematography by Arun Radhakrishnan. Pradeep E Ragav will take care of the film's editing while Veeramani Ganesan will be in charge of art direction. Phoenix Prabhu will direct the stunt sequences, and Dinesh Manoharan will design the costumes. The film is to be produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, and Kalpathi S. Rapper Vedan Gets Relief From Arrest In Rape Case, Kerala High Court Announces Decision

For the second day in succession, the Kerala High Court on Wednesday granted interim relief to Malayalam rapper Hirandas Murali, popularly known as Vedan, directing that he should not be arrested until his anticipatory bail plea in a rape case is fully heard and disposed of. On Wednesday, the court after hearing the complainant's arguments, posted the case for more hearing to August 25. To this, the counsel for Vedan said the court should give directions that he should not be arrested till his plea is finally disposed and it was granted. Vedan, who has been accused of alleged sexual assault by a woman doctor, has been absconding since the case surfaced. The Kerala Police had earlier issued a lookout notice fearing he might attempt to leave the country. According to the FIR lodged in Kochi last month, the complainant alleged that she was sexually exploited by Vedan between 2021 and 2023. Their relationship began while she was a medical student, and she claims that on at least five occasions in Kozhikode, Kochi, and other locations, he sexually assaulted her under the pretext of marriage. The complaint also mentions that they briefly lived together. She further alleged financial exploitation, stating that in 2021, when Vedan was preparing to release his debut album, she gave him Rs 15,000 on two occasions and another Rs 8,300 to fund his train travel. Their acquaintance reportedly began over social media, but in 2023, Vedan allegedly broke off the relationship, leading to distress and prompting her to file the complaint. Two other women have also since accused the rapper of misbehaviour. When the woman doctor's counsel brought to the attention of the court on Wednesday that there are more women who have filed similar cases against him, the court said cases cannot be clubbed and each case is independent of the other. Vedan, 25, rose to fame under the banner Voice of the Voiceless. He debuted in 2020 and, within the same year, gained recognition as a lyricist in hit films like 'Nayattu', 'Karam', and 'Manjummel Boys'. His socially conscious rap style earned him a large following across Kerala. This is not his first brush with controversy. In April, Vedan was arrested along with eight others following a narcotics raid at his rented apartment near here, though he was later released on bail. Around the same time, forest officials briefly detained him after discovering a tiger's tooth on his necklace. Despite his rising popularity, the present allegations have cast a shadow over the young rapper's career, with the court's next decision on his bail plea eagerly awaited. Gopal Mukherjee's grandson, Santana Mukherjee, who has registered the fresh FIR, alleged that the makers have taken exception to portraying his grandfather in the movie without prior permission from the family. 'Secondly, we take strong objection to describing our grandfather as 'a butcher' in the movie. Besides being a part of the freedom-fighters' group, 'Anushilon Samity', my grandfather owned two goat-meat shops. He was a wrestler. He took to arms to protect people from the communal violence unleashed by the Muslim League in Kolkata in 1946," Santana shared. The Bengal Files will hit theatres on September 5, 2025.
