FranklinCovey Hosts Exclusive Live Webinar with Bestselling Authors, Amy Edmondson, Stephen M. R. Covey and Liz Wiseman on The Power of Leadership in Uncertain Times
Walker added, "Change isn't the exception, it's the rule. How organizations respond to disruptive moments along their journey will determine whether they simply endure the turbulence, or use it as a catalyst to evolve, adapt, and transform."
Paul Walker, FranklinCovey CEO, said, 'When uncertainty hits, it doesn't remain outside an organization. It creeps inside into how leaders lead, how teams perform, and how organizations hold it together when nothing feels stable. Leaders are expected to move fast and stay decisive, without a playbook. Teams are expected to deliver more—with less clarity, less connection, and fewer resources.'
To help organizations overcome these challenges, FranklinCovey is hosting an exclusive webinar with Edmondson, Covey and Wiseman for a provocative conversation that will explore the hidden costs of uncertainty and how today's best leaders are breaking through to become change agents during times of disruption.
Walker added, 'Change isn't the exception, it's the rule. How organizations respond to disruptive moments along their journey will determine whether they simply endure the turbulence, or use it as a catalyst to evolve, adapt, and transform.'
The panel of experts will explore the three barriers no leader can afford to ignore in these uncertain times:
The Leadership Crisis: Why outdated leadership models are taxing performance and growth—and what leaders must do now to adapt.
The Engagement Recession: How exhaustion, disconnection, and cultures of caution are negatively impacting performance and morale—and how leaders can reignite commitment and resilience.
The Adaptability Dilemma: How over-analysis, misalignment, and chronic rigidity are stalling performance—and how great leaders move fast, build trust, and create clarity in times of disruption.

Why Novo Nordisk Stock Imploded This Week
Key Points Novo Nordisk shares dropped after slashing full-year sales guidance, primarily due to weakening sales of its blockbuster GLP-1 drugs, Ozempic and Wegovy. Competition from "compounders" marketing tailored versions of GLP-1 treatments is putting pressure on drug sales. Despite short-term challenges, Novo stock trades at one of its lowest P/E ratios in the last 30 years. 10 stocks we like better than Novo Nordisk › Shares of Novo Nordisk (NYSE: NVO) are falling this week, down 33% as of 3:27 p.m. ET on Friday. The drop comes as the S&P 500 lost 2.4%, and the Nasdaq-100 lost 2.2%. The Danish pharmaceutical giant's stock was hit after it released disappointing earnings showing that sales of its blockbuster GLP-1 drugs remain weaker than hoped. Novo Nordisk disappoints Novo Nordisk was forced to cut guidance for its top-line sales, driven primarily by lagging sales of its GLP-1 drugs, Ozempic and Wegovy. The company says it now expects full-year sales growth of 8% to 14%, down significantly from its earlier range of 13% to 21%. Its guidance for operating profit was cut as well, from between 16% and 24% to between 10% and 16%. Wegovy and Ozempic have been absolute blockbusters for the company, propelling Novo to the most valuable company in Europe before competition from "compounders" -- companies that market their own tailor-made versions using its active ingredients -- impacted sales. Is this a buying opportunity? I think Novo does have significant issues it must overcome, but I think these fears are overblown. For long-term investors, this seems like a great time to buy in. The company's stock is trading at one of its lowest price-to-earnings ratios (P/E) in nearly 30 years and the lowest in at least five years. This seems like an opportunity to me. Maryland American Water Files Rate Request Driven by $22 Million of Investment Over Last Seven Years
Request reinforces company's commitment to providing safe, clean, reliable and affordable service BEL AIR, Md., August 01, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Maryland American Water filed a request today with the Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) for new rates, reflecting $22 million of water system investments since the company's last rate request. The request reinforces the company's commitment to replacing aging infrastructure and continuing to provide high-quality water service in compliance with environmental regulations for the benefit of customers. "Our commitment to long-term investments in our water systems helps ensure we deliver the high level of service our customers deserve and expect," said Laura Runkle, President of Maryland American Water. "These ongoing investments are vital for providing safe, clean, reliable and affordable service to the communities we serve and demonstrate our dedication to the public health and safety of those communities." In today's filing, Maryland American Water's proposed rates include a two-tiered rate structure, with lower rates for the first 2,000 gallons to promote affordability for lower-usage customers. If the company's proposed two-tiered rates are approved, the monthly water bill for residential customers in the Town of Bel Air using 2,000 gallons per month would increase by approximately $6, and customers using 4,000 gallons per month would see an increase of approximately $29. Monthly water bills for residential customers in the company's Severn District would increase approximately $20 per month. The company's last rate adjustment was in 2019. Maryland American Water also offers bill paying assistance programs that include payment plans, budget billing and, for income-eligible customers, the company's H2O Help to Others customer assistance program. More information can be found by clicking the Customer Assistance Program link under Customer Service & Billing on the company's website. The proposed rates are a request only and are not final until authorized by the PSC, which conducts a thorough review of the company's financial and operational data. Once a final decision has been made, customers will receive information regarding new rates in the mail and on the company's website. New rates are not expected to be effective until March 2026. Customers can participate through written comments, attendance at public comment hearings, and consumer advocacy organizations that participate in the proceedings. For more information on the company's rate proposal and to learn how customers may participate in this process, visit and select "Your Water Rates" under the Customer Service & Billing menu. Kleenex Maker Stuns Wall Street with Unseen Volume Surge--Is a Consumer Staples Comeback Brewing?
Kimberly-Clark (NASDAQ:KMB) is turning heads again. The consumer goods giant just posted its strongest volume growth in five years, with second-quarter volumes up 5%a rare beat driven entirely by people buying more, not paying more. The company's pivot toward lower-priced products and a refreshed innovation pipeline seems to be resonating with budget-stretched U.S. consumers. Management responded by raising full-year guidance, now expecting low-to-mid-single-digit EPS growth (at constant currency), up from a previous flat-to-slightly-positive outlook. That includes a one-time 16-cent boost tied to its $3.4 billion international tissue divestment, which also helped sharpen focus on core North American categories. It's not just Kimberly-Clark seeing signs of life. Colgate-Palmolive (NYSE:CL) reported better-than-expected organic sales growth as its North American business showed improvement. Meanwhile, Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG) projected up to 4% revenue growth for the current fiscal yearfaster than last year and ahead of consensus. Together, these signals suggest that after a bruising start to the year, consumers could be regaining confidence and spending more on everyday essentials. Just last quarter, the group saw its first organic sales contraction in more than three years, as macro pressures and geopolitical volatility weighed on household budgets. Still, not everyone is catching the same tailwind. Church & Dwight's (NYSE:CHD) organic sales shrank in its domestic segment, and its stock barely budged. In contrast, Kimberly-Clark shares surged as much as 7.9% on the news, though they remain down 4.9% year-to-dateunderperforming the broader market. CEO Mike Hsu struck a measured tone, warning that consumer purchasing power remains under pressure, with no near-term catalyst for change. But if the March 2024 turnaround plan is finally gaining traction, Kimberly-Clark's positioning across value tiers could help it ride the next wave of consumer staples recovery.
