Though official confirmations are still awaited, the speculation has stirred excitement—especially among Vikrant's fans. The actor, who has consistently delivered nuanced performances over the years, had earlier expressed how much a National Award would mean to him.
In an interview with News18, Vikrant shared, 'I've prayed for one since I was a kid wanting to become an actor. A National Award is the highest honour an Indian actor can dream of.
To receive it from the President of the country—that's monumental.' He added, 'I hope the film wins. I hope Vidhu Vinod Chopra wins. And yes, I hope I win too. Fingers crossed.'
