Shivaji Satam
's dramatic entry and exit, the show has left no stone unturned to entertain its audience.
However, there are rumours that the show may soon go off-air. According to reports, the show will be pulled down, and Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) will return with its 17th season.
While CID 2 has been winning hearts with its adventurous episodes, reports suggest it may go off-air due to low TRP. Though there's no official confirmation yet, a report by Bollywood Life claims the show might wrap up after failing to generate enough viewership.
KBC 17, on the other hand, is set to make its return with its much-awaited 17th season.
Despite the rumours, many fans are currently enjoying the latest plot and have been praising the show on social media. A user on X wrote, 'The 'Chakravyuh series' was just fire. Though sometimes it felt like unnecessary dragging and poor dialogue writing, after today's episode, the suspense was worth it. Top-notch acting by everyone.
Also, the main hero of the series, Daya — the perfect choice, I must say. Aag laga di.
'
Another user said, 'I was watching season 2 from the start. Though the show came back mostly for nostalgia and nothing more… today #CID2 proved why it's the longest-running and one of the best shows on TV!'
One more user commented, 'What a mind-blowing ending to this track. Thank you, makers, for not ruining Shreya's character this time. Kya twist laya hai! Truly, the thrill and suspense this season is just fire. Some people must be sad since Shreya turned out to be an undercover cop and not the mastermind behind the case.'
There is still no official update on whether the second season will officially go off-air. The show stars Shivaji Satam,
Dayanand Shetty
, and many others.
