Valencia winger Fran Perez joins Rayo Vallecano
Garcia has signed a four-year-deal with the Madrid-based club, which makes its European debut in this season's UEFA Conference League play-off next week.
Garcia is the son of former Valencia director of sport Francisco Perez 'Rufete', and came through the club's youth system. He made his La Liga debut during Gennaro Gattuso's brief spell as Valencia coach in the 2022-23 season and has played 77 times for the first-team, with many of those appearances coming as a substitute.
Last season, Garcia struggled with a back problem, playing 26 times, but only starting four matches.
In its communique, Valencia wrote that "Fran Perez has defended the Valencia shirt with pride and has been a reference point for the DNA and the values of our youth system."

'Lassana Diarra is claiming €65 million gross (€35 million net) in compensation from FIFA and the Belgian Football Association,' his legal firm Dupont Hissel said in a statement. FIFA was approached for comment about the latest high-stakes legal challenge to its authority. Diarra's case, which is back in court in Belgium, is supported by the global players' union FIFPRO, its European division and their national member union in France. The legal case started in the home country of Charleroi, the Belgian club that wanted to sign Diarra after his contract in Moscow was terminated. FIFA transfer rules at the time made the player and the potential signing club liable for paying the former club when a contract was ruled to have been broken without 'just cause.' The Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld FIFA's ruling in favor of Lokomotiv. The case was sent to the European court which said the FIFA rules 'hinder the free movement of players and competition between clubs.' Diarra's dispute with Lokomotiv and FIFA forced him to miss the 2014-15 season. He then signed for Marseille and ended his career at Paris Saint-Germain six years ago. 'I am doing this for myself,' Diarra said in a statement Monday published by his lawyers. 'And if I have been able to hold out against the FIFA steamroller, it is because I had a good career.' 'But I have also done it for all the up and coming, lesser known players who do not have the financial and psychological means to challenge FIFA before real judges,' he said.

Nottingham Forest Sign French Forward Arnaud Kalimuendo From Rennes
French striker Arnaud Kalimuendo has signed a five-year contract with Nottingham Forest, the Premier League club announced on Monday. According to French media, the transfer paid to ex-club Rennes is believed to be at least 30 million euros ($35 million). "Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce the signing of Arnaud Kalimuendo, who joins the club on a five-year deal," read a statement on the English club's website. The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Paris Saint-Germain, before enjoying a breakthrough season at Ligue 1 side Rennes last year when he netted 18 times in 34 appearances in all competitions. Prior to joining Rennes in 2022, he made five appearances for PSG and enjoyed success during loan spells at Lens -- scoring 21 goals in 65 outings. Chetan Sharma backs Bumrah, says players should go by physios advice
New Delhi, Aug 18 (PTI) Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah may have drawn criticism for playing only three Tests during the series against England to manage his workload, but former BCCI chairman of selectors Chetan Sharma has backed the bowler, saying players should go by the physios' advice as they are the "better judges". The injury-prone Bumrah played the first, third and fourth Tests in the Anderson-Tendulkar five-match series, skipping two matches with Mohammed Siraj leading the pace-bowling attack. Sharma, himself a former pace bowler, said it was akin to a patient having to follow the doctor's advice. "If the medical team advises, if the doctor tells me that I have to take antibiotics, then I have to consume them. "If our physios is telling a player to manage workload, I think we should listen to them because they are the better judges," said Sharma on the sidelines of the country's public service broadcaster Prasar Bharati signing a deal with London-based cricket analytics company CricViz on Monday for the telecast of 104 episodes of "The Great Indian Cricket Show" on Doordarshan. "We have such good cricketers that not just the top-15 but even if the top-30 are selected, they are all very good. Really proud of them," he added.
