Defender's wages could halt Emirates exit
AC Milan could come in for Arsenal left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Sky in Italy say the Serie A giants are preparing for the possible departure of Theo Hernandez to Atletico Madrid.
Zinchenko appears way down the Gunners' pecking order - especially given the brilliant breakthrough season of Myles Lewis-Skelly.
But it's reckoned the wages of ex-Manchester City ace Zinchenko could be an issue for Milan.

Viktor breaks silence
Viktor Gyokeres has broken his silence on his transfer fall-out with Sporting Lisbon chiefs with a brief 22-word statement, writes KATHERINE WALSH.
The Man Utd and Arsenal target striker is reportedly at loggerheads with Sporting bosses after trying to force through a dream move to the Premier League.
The Swede, 27, is allegedly furious with Sporting for going back on their word over a promise to lower his £84million release clause and plans not to play for the club again.
He believes he had a gentleman's agreement to leave the Portuguese giants for £50million with a further £8million in add-ons, but that claim has been denied by president Frederico Varandas.
The former Coventry man then reportedly threatened to go on strike while vowing not to play for the club again if they don't lower their offer.
But Varandas insisted he will not be bullied into letting the Arsenal and Manchester United target move to the Prem on the cheap this summer. He said: ' Sporting will not accept blackmail and insults – you should know me better by now.'
But Gyokeres has now tried to play down the squabble by writing on his Instagram story on Thursday evening: "There is a lot of talks at the moment, most of it is false. I will speak when the time is right."
It also comes after reports claimed that Arsenal submitted a new bid for Gyokeres on Wednesday, with his agent Hasan Cetinkaya visiting London to fast-track the transfer.

Arsenal in growing Prem queue for Catamo
A Viktor Gyokeres team-mates has sneaked onto the radar of major Prem clubs.
Sporting Lisbon are already fighting to keep Gyokeres away from Arsenal and Manchester United.
Now it's claimed Mozambique wing-back Geny Catamo also has plenty of serious admirers.
Caught Offside claim the versatile wideman has attracted interest from Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Fulham.
Sporting's main shield to a Catano exit is a release clause of 60million euros - around £51m.
But it's suggest Prem teams might open with an offer of approximately half that.

Going for Bronck
Former Arsenal midfielder Giovanni van Bronckhorst is set to join Arne Slot's staff at Liverpool.
The 50-year-old is the leading candidate to replace Slot's right-hand man John Heitinga, who quit the Premier League champions to become manager at Ajax.
Liverpool sporting director, Richard Hughes, has been keen to find a replacement ahead of pre-season and Van Bronckhorst, who has managed at Feyenoord, Rangers, and Besiktas fits the bill.
Although a deal has not yet been done, Van Bronckhorst is now in talks with the owning Fenway Sports Group about forming part of a backroom team alongside Sipke Hulshoff and Aaron Briggs.
The former Netherlands captain, who played for Arsenal between 2001 and 2004, is keen on a return to the Premier League, after spending the last six months working as a Uefa analyst.
Van Bronckhorst has never worked with Slot and doesn't have a close relationship with him, although the pair share similar ideas around playing style and have both won the Dutch league.
If a deal is completed, Van Bronckhorst would arrive at the club with a wealth of coaching experience.

Gunners target Viktor blasts 'false' talk
Viktor Gyokeres has issued a blunt statement after reportedly threatening to go on strike to force a move.
The Sporting Lisbon striker spoke following links to Manchester United and Arsenal.
It's believed both Prem clubs have now made approaches for the Swede.
And it's also claimed the Gunners have bid £46million.
But Sporting president Frederico Varand denied receiving ANY offers for his star man.
Now Gyokeres has said on Instagram: 'There is a lot of talks at the moment, most of it is false. I will speak when the time is right.'

Witness claims Prince William's billionaire pal said 'I've swallowed something' before he died after 'ingesting a bee' during polo match

Witnesses have claimed that a billionaire friend of Prince William told his teammates 'I've swallowed something' before he died after 'ingesting a bee' during polo match. Sunjay Kapur, 53, collapsed in front of horrified teammates during the game at Guards Polo Club in Windsor. Indian-born Mr Kapur was thought to have suffered a fatal heart attack after being stung in the mouth, potentially triggering anaphylactic shock. It was first claimed by witnesses that he out cried 'I've swallowed something' leading to assumption he may have ingested an insect, the Telegraph reports. Mr Kapur, chairman of global car parts giant Sona Comstar, had hours earlier paid tribute online to the victims of yesterday's Air India plane crash tragedy. He posted: 'Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected. May they find strength in this difficult hour.' In a statement, Sona Comstar said: 'We are deeply saddened by the sudden demise of our Chairman, Mr Sunjay Kapur. 'He was a visionary leader whose passion, insight and dedication shaped the identity and success of our company.' Author and actor Suhel Seth posted on X, formerly Twitter: 'Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur: he passed away earlier today in England. 'A terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and to his colleagues.' Mr Kapur's former wife, Bollywood star Karisma Kapoor, has previously spoken in interviews about him playing polo with the Prince of Wales. The University of Buckingham graduate married Priya Sachdev Kapur, a former model and entrepreneur with whom he had a son named Azarias Kapur born in 2018. Mr Kapur died as his Aureus team were playing in a semi-final match in the Cartier Queen's Cup against Sujan Indian Tigers. The match started at 3pm on Tuesday, June 12 at the club's Smith's Lawn grounds. The club is closely associated with the Royal family. Prince Philip was the club's president from the time it was founded in January 1955 until his death in April 2021 - holding the role for 66 years. King Charles became the club's new president last year. In a statement the club said its chairman Lieutenant Colonel Sean O'Dwyer along with 'directors and members' were 'shocked to learn that Sunjay Kapur, owner of the Aureus polo team, died after becoming unwell when playing in a match at Smith's Lawn'. The statement added: 'The club sends its deepest condolences to his widow, Priya Sachdev, his children, the wider Kapur family and his Aureus team-mates. ' The Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA), the sports governing body in the UK, said: 'The HPA is enormously sad to confirm that Sunjay Kapur, patron of the Aureus Polo Team, passed away during a match at Guards on Thursday, 12 June. 'The incident was not playing-related and no further details will be released at this time. 'As the governing body, the HPA are supporting those involved and our thoughts are with Sunjay's wife Priya, his family, and the team at this time, and we kindly request that their privacy is respected.' Following news of his tragic death, Ashoka University, in the Indian capital New Delhi, posted online: 'Ashoka University mourns the passing away of Sunjay Kapur, Chairman, Sona Comstar and a valued member of the Ashoka fraternity. 'A prominent figure in India's business community, he will be remembered for his leadership. 'Our deepest sympathies are with his family at this difficult time.' And the Doon School in India - hailed as the country's equivalent to Eton - said they were 'deeply saddened' by the death of one of their former pupils. A statement shared online described Mr Kapur as 'a passionate fitness and sport enthusiast and a learner for life' who 'worked to make polo more accessible beyond its traditional roots'. The school added: 'Mr Kapur's enduring commitment to excellence, service, and community leaves a lasting legacy. 'The Doon School family extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace.' Mr Kapur has been described as a regular on the polo circuit favoured by the royal family. His global automotive company Sona Comsta, with operations across India, the US, China, Mexico and Serbia, provided key electric vehicle industry supplies. Mr Kapur's other positions included being president of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India and co-chair of the Confederation of Indian Industry's Manufacturing Council. The Guards Club has been described as 'the most prestigious polo club in the world, and members of the Royal Family including King Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry have frequently played there. It was originally named the Household Brigade Polo Club and British Army officers of the Household Division regiments were traditionally exempt from paying its joining fee which today stands at £45,000. It changed its name in 1969 then became 'a fully civilian club' in 2000 and is now the largest polo club in Europe in terms of membership and number of grounds. The club hosts around 600 matches a year with its season starting in April each year and finishing in mid September.

Arsenal deal for Viktor Gyokeres at risk as Sporting issue threat

Arsenal's deal to sign Viktor Gyokeres could be at risk as Sporting CP have threatened to increase the striker's asking price. Earlier this week, Sporting's president, Frederico Varandas, hit out at Gyokeres' agent over suggestions that a transfer fee had already been agreed ahead of the summer transfer window. Gyokeres has a €100 million (£85.1m) release clause in his contract but Sporting have been willing to sell the Sweden international for lower than that amount. Varandas was angered by claims that Sporting have agreed to sell Gyokeres for €60m (£51m) plus a further €10m (£8.5m) in add-ons and warned the striker's representative, Hasan Cetinkaya, that he is 'making the situation worse'. During his negotiations to bring Gyokeres to Sporting in a £20m deal from Coventry City two years ago, Cetinkaya secured an exclusive sales mandate which means that the Portuguese champions will have to pay the agent 10 per cent of the value of any rejected offer above €60m (£51m). Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro's Football Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your team in the link so we can send you football news tailored to you. It is understood that if Cetinkaya decides to activate that mandate this summer, Sporting will respond by demanding that Gyokeres' €100m (£85.1m) release clause is paid in full. Arsenal's sporting director, Andrea Berta, met with his counterpart at Sporting, Bernardo Palmeiro, in Menorca to discuss a deal for Gyokeres this week. Arsenal's initial proposal worth an €55m (£46.8m) plus a further €10m (£8.5m) in add-ons was rejected but an improved offer is expected. Sporting are believed to be holding out for a deal worth closer to €80m (£68.1m) including add-ons. More Trending Reports in Portugal on Thursday claimed that there is a 'growing optimism' in Gyokeres' camp that a deal can be agreed between Arsenal and Sporting. Manchester United also remain in the race to sign Gyokeres and are hoping his strong relationship with Ruben Amorim can overcome the striker's reservations about the lack of European football at Old Trafford next season. United have indicated to Sporting that they are willing to pay €60m (£51.1m) up front, plus a further €10m (£8.5m) in performance-related bonuses. Gyokeres, who finished the season with 54 goals in 52 games and helped Sporting win the domestic double in Portugal, issued a cryptic message on Instagram on Thursday which read: 'There is a lot of talks at the moment, most of it is false. I will speak when the time is right.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Follow Metro Sport for the latest news on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
