Pawan Kalyan asks people to 'love Hindi'
The Department of Official Language, MHA, organised its golden jubilee celebrations — Dakshin Samvad. Pawan Kalyan called upon the people to 'love Hindi, which is a link language in the country'.
The Andhra Pradesh deputy CM said that people were learning foreign languages but indulging in politics over Hindi.
Pawan Kalyan said that around 31 per cent movies were being dubbed in Hindi. 'We need Hindi for business. Then what is the objection to learning Hindi?' he asked.

NITI Aayog suggests services focused trade deal with US
New Delhi: NITI Aayog on Monday suggested that India should follow the model of the India-UK agreement to pursue a services-oriented trade deal with the US, with special focus on information technology, financial services, professional services, and education. The Aayog in its third edition of 'Trade Watch Quarterly' said there will be significant opportunities for India in the US markets both in terms of the number of products and volume of the US market. "Building on the model of the India-UK agreement, India should pursue a services-oriented trade deal with the US, placing strong emphasis on key sectors such as information technology, financial services, professional services, and education," it said. The government thinktank said the agreement should include robust provisions for digital trade, creating a framework for enhanced cross-border service delivery. The Aayog also emphasised that India must advocate for improved visa access for its professionals, particularly under H-1B and L-1 categories. "This should include provisions for intra-corporate transferees and independent service providers, which are crucial for maintaining India's competitive edge in the global services industry," it growing global demand for Digitally Delivered Services (DDS), the Aayog said India should seek firm market access commitments from the US in high-growth areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, telecom, and design services. "Leveraging India's strengths in these sectors can help increase bilateral trade and innovation-led growth," it said. Observing that regulatory barriers such as inconsistent data compliance and intellectual property concerns hinder Indian service exports, the Aayog said joint efforts between India and the US are needed to simplify licensing procedures and address cross-border data flow issues, enabling smoother market access for Indian firms. The government thinktank also said that to expand professional opportunities, India should push for broader Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) that cover a wider range of professions, including engineers, architects, and healthcare workers. "These agreements would streamline certification processes and facilitate the mobility of Indian professionals to the US," it said.

‘Very close to trade deal with India': Trump says EU deal also possible as tariff deadline looms
US President Donald Trump on Wednesday hinted at reaching a new trade agreement with India soon, while a trade deal with the European Union could also possibly be finalised but it would be too soon to say if a deal with Canada can be agreed upon as the tariff deadline looms. The Trump administration has been negotiating trade deals with America's trading partners for better trading relations and to balance a huge US trade deficit ahead of the deadline of August 1, when duties on most of the US imports are set to rise. The US has been able to finalise deals with the UK, Vietnam, Indonesia and plans are in final stage for some smaller countries in Africa and the Caribbean. During an interview with Real America's Voice on Wednesday, Trump was asked which trade deals were on the horizon and he responded saying, 'We're very close to India, and…we could possibly make a deal with (the) European Union.' The comments by the US president come as an Indian delegation arrived in Washington on Monday to discuss and finalise trade deals. The EU trade chief Maros Sefcovic was also on the way to Washington on Wednesday for tariff discussions. Talking about the EU's trade deal, Trump said 'The European Union has been brutal, and now they're being very nice. They want to make a deal, and it'll be a lot different than the deal that we've had for years,' Reuters reported. However, when asked to detail about the trade agreements with Canada which is also, like the EU, preparing countermeasures if the talks with the US fail to produce a deal, Trump said 'Too soon to say.' On Tuesday, Trump had said the United States is working on a deal that could give it access to the Indian markets as he announced a trade deal with Indonesia wherein Jakarta will face a reduced tariff rate of 19%.
