Boeing reports second-quarter revenue that tops estimates, sending shares higher

- Boeing (NYSE:BA) has posted group-wide revenue that topped estimates, as the embattled jetmaker said it was boosted by improved operational performance and commercial delivery volume. Shares of Boeing rose by more than 2% in premarket U.S. trading following the announcement. Sales from the company's key commercial airplanes division came in at $10.87 billion, topping Bloomberg consensus estimates of $10.4 billion, while its defense unit's revenue was also above expectations. "Our fundamental changes to strengthen safety and quality are producing improved results as we stabilize our operations and deliver higher quality airplanes, products and services to our customers,' said CEO Kelly Ortberg in a statement. Ortberg was brought on at the helm of Boeing in 2024 to help the airplane manufacturer salvage its reputation after a mid-air panel blowout on one of its passenger jets sparked fresh questions about its safety record. Meanwhile, Boeing has been at center of global trade disputes, although Ortberg has previously said the firm has been working to avoid the worst of a recent rise in U.S. tariffs. Crucially, the U.S. and China have reached a trade truce, while a preliminary deal between Washington and the European Union exempts aircraft from tariffs. "As we look to the second half of the year, we remain focused on restoring trust and making continued progress in our recovery while operating in a dynamic global environment," Ortberg said. Boeing reported a core loss per share of $1.24 in the second quarter, which was not as deep as analysts had originally feared. How To Earn $500 A Month From Visa Stock Ahead Of Q3 Earnings

Visa Inc. (NYSE:V) is set to report third-quarter earnings after the closing bell on Tuesday, July 29. The report follows news that Japan's Fair Trade Commission has taken its first administrative action against the credit card industry, targeting Visa Worldwide Pte Ltd.—a Singapore-based subsidiary—for alleged monopolistic practices. Analysts expect the San Francisco-based company to report earnings of $2.85 per share, up from $2.42 per share a year ago. Revenue is projected to reach $9.85 billion, compared to $8.9 billion in the same quarter last year, according to Benzinga Pro. Amid heightened attention on Visa, some investors are also eyeing its dividend potential. The company currently offers a dividend yield of 0.66%, paying 59 cents per share semi-annually, or $2.36 annually. So, how can investors exploit its dividend yield to pocket a regular $500 monthly? For a more modest $100 per month or $1,200 per year, you would need $180,579 or around 508 shares. To calculate: Divide the desired annual income ($6,000 or $1,200) by the dividend ($2.36 in this case). So, $6,000 / $2.36 = 2,542 ($500 per month), and $1,200 / $2.36 = 508 shares ($100 per month). View more earnings on V Note that dividend yield can change on a rolling basis, as the dividend payment and the stock price both fluctuate over time. How that works: The dividend yield is computed by dividing the annual dividend payment by the stock's current price. For example, if a stock pays an annual dividend of $2 and is currently priced at $50, the dividend yield would be 4% ($2/$50). However, if the stock price increases to $60, the dividend yield drops to 3.33% ($2/$60). Conversely, if the stock price falls to $40, the dividend yield rises to 5% ($2/$40). Similarly, changes in the dividend payment can impact the yield. If a company increases its dividend, the yield will also increase, provided the stock price stays the same. Conversely, if the dividend payment decreases, so will the yield. V Price Action: Shares of Visa fell 0.4% to close at $355.47 on More: Image: Shutterstock UNLOCKED: 5 NEW TRADES EVERY WEEK. Vertiv Q2 2025 Earnings Preview: AI-Led Orders Keep Bar High

Vertiv (NYSE:VRT) will release Q2 2025 results before the bell on Wednesday, July 30. Consensus forecasts call for EPS of $0.83 and revenue of $2.35 billion, implying gains of roughly 24% and 21% versus Q2 2024's $0.67 EPS and $1.95 billion, respectively. The stock is up 21% year-to-date and over 150% from the April lows on AI-data-center strength. Investors will be watching sustained organic net sales growth in the low-20% range, driven by cross-border liquid-cooling and power wins that lifted backlog to $7.9 billion in Q1. Another high-teens bookings gain or book-to-bill at or over 1.4 would underscore sustained AI demand. Investors will watch margin execution as they want evidence that price/mix and supply-chain productivity can keep adjusted operating margin within the 18% to 19% guide despite new-plant ramps and China tariffs. Margin commentary will be critical to the full-year outlook, including updates on thermal-management capacity additions, price-cost balance, and FCF conversion above 90%, as well as any color on the recent CFO transition and its impact on execution. Any raise to the FCF outlook would support the 39 forward P/E. With the stock near all-time highs, even a clean beat may fall flat if backlog growth cools or margins slip.
