Brad Marchand Takes To Social Media To Thank Devils
After winning the Stanley Cup earlier this week, the summer of Brad Marchand and the Florida Panthers has officially kicked off.
The 37-year-old former Boston Bruins captain is having the time of his life after clinching his second Cup. After lifting the Cup on Tuesday, Marchand joined Panthers' fans in a "Thank you, Boston" chant on Wednesday.

The following night, he took to social media to extend his gratitude to his former team. On his Instagram page, he posted stories thanking his teammates' former teams.

Five former Devils were part of the Panthers' Stanley Cup victory. Defenseman Dmitry Kulikov won his second consecutive Cup while Jesper Boqvist, A.J. Greer, Tomas Nosek, and Vitek Vanecek each won it for the first time.

Jamal Musiala injured again for Bayern Munich at Club World Cup

(AP) — Star German midfielder Jamal Musiala went off injured only 25 minutes after entering Friday night's Club World Cup match for Bayern Munich and was substituted by national team veteran Thomas Müller in the 82nd minute. Rays cruise past Tigers 14-8 as Díaz hits 2 homers and Thaiss drives in 4 runs
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Yandy Díaz was 3 for 5 with two homers, Matt Thaiss drove in four runs and every Rays starter had at least one hit in Tampa Bay's 14-8 win over the Detroit Tigers on Friday night. The 14 runs given up was a season high for Detroit, which entered with the best record in the majors. Díaz hit his 19th career leadoff homer, launching a 3-2 fastball over the right-center fence. In the fifth, his solo shot extended the Rays' lead to 9-3 and gave him multiple homers in a game for the first time since May 11, 2019. Curtis Mead was 2 for 2 with three walks, three runs and an RBI. Díaz, Taylor Walls and Kameron Misner each drove in two for Tampa Bay, which is 1 1/2 games behind the first-place Yankees in the American League East. Rays starter Shane Baz (7-3) won his fourth consecutive decision, striking out six and giving up four hits in 5 1/3 innings. Tigers left fielder Riley Greene was 3 for 3 with two homers and four RBIs. It was his sixth multihomer game and third this season. He now has 29 RBIs over his last 29 games dating to May 20. Bulls, White Sox owner to be deposed for lawsuit after fan was shot
Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf will be deposed in a lawsuit stemming from a shooting during a White Sox game at Guaranteed Rate Field in August 2023, a Cook County judge ordered Friday, per multiple reports. The shooting has been shrouded in mystery nearly two years later. A 42-year-old woman was shot in the leg and a 26-year-old woman suffered a graze wound to the abdomen and refused medical attention. The 42-year-old woman filed a lawsuit in 2024, accusing the team of "negligence and recklessness." Videos posted to X at the time showed some panicked patrons running away from the stadium. Others were awaiting a Vanilla Ice concert at the end of the game that ended up being canceled because of "technical issues," according to a message on the scoreboard. "Due to technical issues, tonight's postgame concert has been canceled," the message read in part. "We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding." It was unclear how a weapon was able to get into the stadium in the first place. The ballpark doesn't allow for any type of weapon to be brought into the facility. "Weapons of any type, including pepper spray. It is illegal for anyone to enter or attempt to enter the ballpark with a firearm, regardless of permit," according to the park's rules. A fan previously told FOX 32 Chicago he went through a metal detector to get into the stadium. The shooting didn't stop the game from carrying on, however, as the White Sox lost to the Athletics 12-4.
