Israeli military intercepts suspected drone from Yemen

Israel's military said on Wednesday it had intercepted a drone believed to have been launched from Yemen, without it entering Israeli airspace or triggering alarms.

Israeli Channel 12 also reported the interception, confirming the drone originated from Yemen and was heading toward Israel.
The announcement came a day after Adel Rajeh, a member of the Executive Committee of Anti-Aggression Parties affiliated with the Houthis (Ansarallah), reiterated Yemen's stance in support of Gaza.
Rajeh said Yemen's commitment to what he described as resisting "ongoing American and Israeli aggression" would persist. 'The support pathway is ongoing. The air and sea blockade remains in place,' he said, adding that 'the coming days will witness an escalation in military operations until the aggression on Gaza ends and the siege is fully lifted.'
Since October 2023, Yemen's Houthi forces have launched several military operations targeting Israel, positioning them as part of a broader regional campaign in solidarity with Gaza.

He confirmed 'daily contact at all levels with Syria,' and suggested that such engagement could eventually pave the way for Syria and Lebanon to join the Abraham Accords — a series of US-brokered normalization agreements between Israel and several Arab states. When asked whether Israel might consider withdrawing from the separation zone in the Golan Heights in the event of a normalization deal with Damascus, Hanegbi said, 'If normalization happens, we will consider it.' On May 31, Syria's Minister of Information, Hamza al-Mustafa, also acknowledged the existence of indirect negotiations with Israel, stating that they center on the 1974 Disengagement Agreement brokered by the United Nations following the October 1973 War.

Shafaq News – Khan Younis The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas Movement, released video footage on Wednesday showing what it described as a complex ambush targeting Israeli forces near the Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque in the Ma'an area, south of Khan Younis. The operation resulted in the deaths of seven Israeli soldiers, including an officer, and injured several others, according to Israeli military confirmation. The footage, filmed in broad daylight, showed al-Qassam fighters approaching two Israeli Puma armored personnel carriers and placing explosive devices on them at close range. One fighter, notably wearing sandals, climbed atop a vehicle and threw a 'Shawaz' explosive directly into the command cabin, causing a fire that fully engulfed the vehicle. A second fighter detonated another explosive on the adjacent APC, resulting in near-simultaneous explosions. Despite intense gunfire in the area, both fighters withdrew safely after the attack, capturing images of the vehicles ablaze. One fighter, in the video, vowed to return for further operations. Isfahan's Provincial Prosecutor Mohammad Mousavian told Tasnim News Agency that a number of suspects are now facing prosecution for actions deemed harmful to public psychological security. Others were issued formal warnings as part of an ongoing investigation. In Fars Province, judiciary chief Sadrollah Rajaei-Nasab confirmed additional arrests linked to alleged coordination with Israeli intelligence, noting that initial evidence has been submitted to court.
