Popular indoor trampoline park to close Massachusetts location
Altitude Trampoline Park on Route 1 in North Attleborough will close its doors permanently Saturday, May 31.
The sudden announcement was made by General Manager Victor Rodriguez Thursday via a Facebook post.
The closure is said to be due to circumstances beyond the control of the employees at the park.
'This is something that has come to us pretty quickly,' Rodriguez said in the Facebook post. 'It is something not done by the amazing people that work here at this park.'
Altitude, which opened in North Attleborough in 2017, has multiple locations around the country. There are several in Massachusetts, including Franklin, Marlborough, Avon, Holyoke and Billerica.
Each location has multiple attractions for kids to participate in, including extreme dodgeball, foam pit, rock wall and trapeze. It is also a hot spot for birthday parties and events.
Rodriguez is the general manager of the Holyoke location, as well.
Based on the company website, it does not say that any other locations are being shut down.
Coming with such short notice, Rodriguez said he apologies for any inconvenience the North Attleborough location closure might cause.
'I will do everything that I can to possibly help you in terms of providing any services that I can,' he said.
Rodriguez said he will also be reaching out to those who scheduled parties after June 1 to issue refunds.
Feeling as though he has been a part of a lot of the community members' lives, he said in the Facebook video that it unfortunately has to come to an end.
'I am very grateful to have been part of so many families' lives, for those who have worked with me, for those who have come here and jumped with us … It is a very very sad day,' Rodriguez said.
As he got emotional during the end of the near 6-minute video, Rodriguez explained how the love and support from the community toward the trampoline park has helped him provide for his family.
'I just wanted to thank you all for everything that you have given us,' Rodriguez said. 'It means so much to me.'
'Our managers and staff have been great through seven years of blood, sweat and tears, trying to make this place a piece of this community,' Rodriguez said. 'We've loved every single minute of being here.'
As the trampoline parks come to a close, a new one, Launch Trampoline Park, will be opening up right down the road on South Washington Street in the Target plaza. Launch is located where the previous 'Babies R Us' was.
'Launch is opening up right next to us, I hope they can provide a great experience for you all because all we want is for kids to be able to be kids,' Rodriguez said. 'And I don't care where they jump, I just want them to have fun.'
An opening date for Launch has not been announced.

Collage of 'Philippine traffic conditions' misuses Vietnam photo
The misleading collage was posted on Facebook on May 28 by a content creator who has previously shared pro-Marcos misinformation debunked by AFP. The post features two photos, with one showing a gridlocked intersection labelled "DUTERTE TIME". This is contrasted with a second photo of orderly traffic superimposed with an image of Marcos and labelled "PBBM TIME", using the current leader's initials. The post received over 30,000 reactions, comments and shares, and has circulated elsewhere on Facebook, X and TikTok. Marcos swept to power in 2022 after joining forces with the Duterte family in the elections that year but the alliance began crumbling almost immediately (archived link). The feud exploded into open warfare this year with the impeachment of Duterte's daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, and the subsequent arrest and transfer of the ex-president, to face charges at the International Criminal Court at the Hague tied to his deadly drug war. Comments show people appear to believe the claim -- users showered praise on Marcos, whose popularity dropped steeply following his deputy's impeachment and predecessor's stunning arrest (archived link). "'Du-dirty' made a lot of mess. PBBM is fixing these now," one wrote. "It's obvious, under PBBM there is change and people are more disciplined," another wrote. However, the photo showing major congestion was not taken in the Philippines. A reverse image search of the image labelled "Duterte Time" found it shows a gridlock Vietnam's capital Hanoi (archive link). Chinese state-run media organisation published the photo with credits to state news agency Xinhua. It is captioned: "Photo taken on Sept. 8, 2015 shows a traffic jam on a main road in Hanoi, Vietnam. Heavy rains occurred early Tuesday morning in Hanoi left several streets flooded and caused traffic jam during rush hour. [Photo/Xinhua]." The area where the gridlock occurred was at the intersection of Le Van Luong and Nguyen Tuan streets as seen on Google Maps (archived link). The second photo of traffic credited to Marcos' government was taken from a video clip posted on May 26, when the government resumed its "no contact apprehension policy (NCAP)" for motorists in the Philippine capital, which uses CCTV to detect traffic violations (archived link). Text overlaid on the video says, "Commonwealth Now / May 26, 2025/ NCAP." Commonwealth Avenue is the country's widest highway which sees a high volume of traffic daily (archived link). The TikTok clip matches similar scenes at Commonwealth Avenue published by local broadcasters GMA News, Net25 and the Metro Manila Development Authority, the government agency managing traffic in Manila (archived here, here, and here). Chatham 5K proceeds to be donated in crash victim's honor
CHATHAM, Ill. (WCIA) — Proceeds from this year's Chatham Jaycees Sweetcorn Festival 5K will be donated in honor of Bradley Lund, who died on Monday as a result of the April crash into the YNOT after school camp. In a Facebook post on Thursday, Chatham Jaycees said that all of the proceeds from this year's run/walk will be donated to The Backyard at the Library in honor of 8-year-old Bradley Lund and the Lund Family. Lund was the fifth child who died as a result of the crash. Dana-Thomas House Foundation donates $50k for historic Springfield site restoration 'Words cannot express what the Lund family means to our community, our kids, and our organization,' Chatham Jaycees said in its post. They are also strongly encouraging people to register early so that they can order shirts and medals for all the participants. Additionally, Chatham Jaycees has extended the $5 registration discount through June 12. There is also going to be an option to make additional donations on the race's website. The event is family friendly, so participants can run, walk or even push strollers during the race. The 50th annual Sweetcorn Festival 5K will take place from 8-10 a.m. on July 19 at 700 S Main St. Registration ends at 11:59 p.m. on July 15. 'We can't wait to see you in July,' Chatham Jaycees said.
