Pick your Ipswich player of the season
We asked our Ipswich fan contributor for their four candidates for player of the season and you can now select your top one.
Liam DelapOur top scorer of the season with 12 goals and counting. His ability to lead the line, create chances for himself and occupy defenders is a throwback to a previous era of centre forwards. He has been excellent this season and will have his choice of top clubs this summer.Dara O'SheaProbably the most consistent performer at the club this season. He is strong in the air, brave and provides excellent leadership qualities, as proven by his appointment as captain when Sam Morsy is absent. Comfortable in both a back four and back three, he has proved an excellent addition for only £12m.Omari HutchinsonArguably has the highest ceiling among the current squad and has shown two seasons of remarkable development. His ability to carry the ball up the field and selfless work off the ball will see him go to the very top of the game. Three goals and two assists do not do his performances justice.Jens CajusteCajuste has provided dynamism in midfield with an effortless ability to spin opposition players, create space and drive forward with the ball. An athletic presence in the centre of the pitch, he would have been a steal at the pre-arranged £10m transfer fee had Ipswich stayed up.Honourable mentionsLuke Woolfenden and Cameron Burgess. The first-choice centre-back pairing for the back-to-back promotion campaigns. Both have looked comfortable at this level with Woolfenden's calmness on the ball and Burgess' aerial dominance being the key highlights.Pick your 2024-25 Ipswich player of the season from our shortlist hereAnd tell us why you're picking who you are, or why you'd have gone for another player not on the list, here

Brentford in advanced talks with Keith Andrews to replace Thomas Frank as new manager
Brentford are in advanced talks with Keith Andrews to replace Thomas Frank as manager. Frank was appointed as Tottenham Hotspur manager, leaving the Bees to search for a new coach and Andrews, who has been working at the club as a set-piece coach since 2024. Andrews is well-regarded at the club and the Independent understands he is now searching for coaches to join his staff in the Premier League next season. Should Andrews be confirmed as the new manager, it would follow a pattern at the club of promoting from within, with Frank succeeding Dean Smith after operating as his assistant. The former Wolves, MK Dons and Blackburn Rovers midfielder thrived as a pundit for Sky Sports on EFL games before opting to work within Frank's structure at Brentford last season. Frank left Brentford after seven years, with Brentford considering a number of options, including Kieran McKenna after Ipswich's relegation from the Premier League. But Brentford believe the 39-year-old has bigger aspirations within the Premier League and have now moved for Andrews as the probable successor to Frank. Francesco Farioli, Kjetil Knutsen and Edin Terzic were also linked with the job, but Andrews appears set for his first managerial role of his career.

Liam Delap receives message from Olivier Giorud over 'Chelsea curse'
Olivier Giroud has back new Chelsea signing Liam Delap to overcome the supposed cure of the No.9 shirt. The new arrival from Ipswich is set to make his debut at the upcoming Club World Cup fresh from signing a six-year deal following his £30million move from Portman Road. Delap will don the No.9 shirt which has been vacant since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's departure from the club following his disastrous spell in west London. The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Fernando Torres, Radamel Falcao and Gonzalo Higuain, to name but a few, have struggled to cope with burden of expectation during their ill-fated Stamford Bridge careers, but Delap, it is felt, is made of sterner stuff. Giroud did not wear the number nine during his time at Stamford Bridge but did so at AC Milan, where he was similarly warned about a 'curse' before accepting the shirt. It's kind of cursed'. 'I said it's not about the number I have on my back which will make me be good and score goals. No, I want the nine. And then I've showed him there was no curse, I was doing well. 'It's not about the number nine, it's about the position on the field and being a striker is very, very demanding.
