Poco M7 4G arrives with a familiar set of specs
A few hours ago, Poco made the M7 Plus official, but the brand had also prepared a bit of a surprise to go along with it: the Poco M7 4G. Not to be confused with the M7 5G, which launched back in March, the 4G-only model has appeared in Poland and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 685 4G SoC.
This is paired with either 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. MicroSD cards up to 2TB are supported for expansion. The phone sports a 6.9-inch 1080x2340 LCD screen with 144Hz refresh rate, 288Hz touch sampling rate, and 850-nit peak brightness, a 50 MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and 1080p video recording support, and an 8 MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording.
The lights are kept on by a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging, but the phone isn't sold with a charger in the box (at least in Europe). There's also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and IP64 dust and water resistance. The M7 4G runs Xiaomi's HyperOS 2. It measures 171.08 x 82.05 x 8.55 mm and weighs 224g.
If all of these specs feel familiar, that's because they're nigh-on identical to those of the recently released Redmi 15 4G.

iQOO 15's launch month leaks
iQOO has already acknowledged the existence of its upcoming flagship device, the 15, and we assumed that it might become official in September, right after Qualcomm will unveil the chipset that will be powering it, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. However, according to a new rumor out of China, the iQOO 15 will in fact wait until October to be announced. The phone is said to sport a super-high quality screen made by Samsung, and a vivo self-developed gaming chip. iQOO 13 Previous rumors talked about the iQOO 15 boasting a 6.85-inch flat AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, three 50 MP cameras on the rear including a periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and support for 100W wired charging for its 7,000 mAh battery. There may apparently also be an iQOO 15 Ultra, coming next year with physical gaming trigger buttons, a built-in active cooling fan, and support for wireless charging. Via

Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro to get a big selfie camera upgrade
Xiaomi's 16 and 16 Pro are expected to be the first devices launching with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset at the helm, before the end of September. Today a new rumor out of China claims both of them will sport a new, massively upgraded selfie camera. It will have 50 MP resolution, support for 4K60 video recording, a wide field-of-view, and autofocus - the latter being a rare occurrence in front-facing cameras still. Xiaomi 15 This should significantly upgrade the selfie capabilities of Xiaomi's next-gen flagships compared to its current crop, especially in low light. The Xiaomi 16's main rear camera will have 50 MP resolution and a 1/1.3" type sensor, while the 16 Pro gets the same specs but its main camera will support "ultra high dynamic range" and will come with a ToF sensor. According to past rumors, the Xiaomi 16 will have a 7,000 mAh battery, a 6.3x-inch flat OLED display, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP telephoto (perhaps of the periscope variety).
