Buzz Feed11-05-2025

A pair of tortoiseshell print blue light–blocking glasses, because if you, like many twentysomethings, spend a lot of time in front of screens every day, your tired peepers could probably use a break.
These specs can help cut down on the amount of blue light you're exposed to, which in turn can help you sleep better and eliminate headaches caused by stressed-out eyeballs. Also, they're super cute. Promising review: 'Strained eye care! Between hunting for deals online, working, and studying, my eyeballs have been straineddd. Thought I'd give these cuties a try. They fit me well and come in a little pink too. Doesn't hurt my husband likes them on me too!' —Target CustomerPrice: $17 (available in four lens options)
A spiral-bound undated planner, so you can stay on top of your busy twenties life — even if your phone runs out of juice. (That's the problem with digital calendars, is it not?) This cheerful pick from Tabitha Brown has tons of space for you to track everything from monthly and weekly to-dos to long-term goals. And since it's undated, you can start using it at any time — no need to wait until the beginning of next year to pick up the planning habit!
Promising review: 'Cool colors in organizational state of mind! Love colors, the organization, the availability to write in your own dates. The spaces allowed for information or events.' —MsshopperPrice: $10
A tempered glass screen protector for your phone, because technology is expensive, y'all — especially if you're in your twenties and don't necessarily have a ton of disposable income. Spend a couple of bucks now to protect your device, and you'll avoid having to pay a much steeper price later, should tragedy strike at the hands of your own butterfingers.
This one is designed for iPhone 15 Plus and 16 Plus models, but Target's Dealworthy line has options for plenty of other makes and models. And in case you need convincing that a screen protector is worth having in your twenties-ish life, here is a true story: I've had a tempered glass screen protector like this one on my Switch since I first got the thing. Last year, it took a tumble from the coffee table. It did not fall particularly far, and thanks to my carpet, it did not fall onto a particularly hard surface — but when I picked it back up, I had a brief moment of 'OH NO' panic when I saw the screen: It looked like it had cracked clear down the middle. But guess what? It was just the protector that had cracked. When I pried it off, the screen protector basically shattered — but the screen of the Switch itself was fine. No cracks. No scratches, even. This, my friends, is what a screen protector is for: Taking the damage so your actual device does not. And since most of us are on our phones pretty much constantly, just imagine how much wear and tear a screen protector can save on your most-used device!Promising review: 'WOW it works! I'll admit I hesitated to buy this because it's so affordable and I doubted the quality would be as strong. However, I dropped my iPhone 16 Plus on the road and it's still intact with no scratches! Wow, buy this!' —oliviamichellePrice: $9.99
A bottle of E.l.f.'s Holy Hydration! Hydro-Gel Moisturizer, because if you aren't already moisturizing on the regular, your twenties are the time to start. This soothing gel formula is powered by hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and peptides — but it's still lightweight, and particularly good if your skin tends towards the sensitive side of things.
Promising review: ''Holy' is the correct word! I have extremely sensitive skin that immediately rejects any product it does not agree with. I was hesitant at first, but was on a budget and needed hydration ASAP. I came across this and wow! I do not regret. My skin loved it and helped with the weather change that caused my dry skin. I would totally recommend!!' —StinkyPicklesPrice: $13
And some of Cetaphil's 50 SPF facial sunscreen, so you can make sure you lock in the daily sunscreen habit sooner, rather than later. This pick from Cetaphil ticks all the boxes: It's highly effective, it's good for sensitive skin, it's waterproof, it layers well under makeup, and — key point! — it's shockingly affordable.
Promising review: 'Amazing sunscreen! Wow!! This mineral sunscreen is amazing!! I struggle with allergies, sensitivity, and am acne-prone. Some sunscreens in the past have given me rashes where I applied them. This sunscreen works well for me, protecting my face with a high SPF and no breakouts. Sometimes I wear it without any makeup and it blurs my imperfections really well, also works great under makeup. Also love that it is mineral and reef-safe.' —Makeupgal95Price: $12.59

It has the basic tools that I need for my new house and it comes in handy for hanging up my decorations.' —Alexis JPrice: $21.99
Some reusable wool dryer balls that are way easier on your clothes than dryer sheets — and easier on your person-in-your-20s budget, too. Throwing these soft little spheres into the dryer with your clothes will soften them up, remove odors, reduce wrinkling, cut down on static, and even shorten drying time. What's not to love?
I got myself this exact set of dryer balls — just as a lil' experiment — and friends, I am pleased to report that they do, in fact, help clothes and linens dry better! I try to avoid using my dryer's highest heat level since that can wreak havoc on textiles of all types, but when I tumble-dry on medium, things sometimes still come out a little... damp on the other end. Not with these puppies, though! Even my super plush bath towels come out fully dry without the need for high heat! It's a laundry miracle!Promising review: 'Great product! Just bought a second set. I bought my first set of the same brand about 10 years ago. Have not used dryer sheets since. Clothes dry faster, no static cling. They have lasted well for the past 10 years with frequent use. I use them to wash bras and keep the clasps from snagging other garments, and it's great. I also use them to wash my decorative pillow covers to keep the zippers from tearing the material and these garment bags have been AmAzInG!!! Do yourself a favor and get them now!!!' —GigiPrice: $4
AND a bottle of Downy's beloved Wrinkle Releaser spray, because nothing helps you look like you have your twenties together like a wrinkle-free wardrobe. Promising review: 'Helps me get out the door quickly! This stuff has saved me! I don't have time to iron in the morning, so a few spritzes and smoothing out the fabric by hand does the trick. It smells great and dries quickly.' —AngelaPrice: $9.29
A sunrise alarm clock to help out if your mornings as a person in your twenties can sometimes be... let's call it a little rough. You probably already know the gimmick behind these kinds of clocks — they start to grow brighter a few minutes before your actual get-out-of-bed time, so you can wake up gradually instead of all at once — and this particular one offers a wonderfully budget-minded way to give the whole thing a shot.
Promising review: 'Great clock and night light! I use this as my alarm clock. The light feature that turns on 15 minutes prior to my set alarm time is wonderful! It slowly gets brighter and I am always awake before the alarm sounds. It's nice to not wake up the whole house. The night light feature options are very pretty and nice to have just before going to sleep.' —JBPrice: $30

Yes, really.
Promising review: Great for daily use! I purchased this on a whim, as I've used the other cleaning sprays in the past. This has a great smell and is great for quick cleanings in between the deeper cleanings of the bathroom. We use it every time we shower and I deep clean weekly. They're not fancy, but these lil' foam earplugs will make it a lot easier to sleep if you share a living space with someone who tends to be… less than considerate at times.
Friends, I started sleeping with foam earplugs during my many years of twentysomething shared apartment living, because honestly, some of those roommates were just SO. LOUD. They were loud pretty much all the time, but they were especially loud late at night — and given that I have never been a terribly sound sleeper even at the best of times, it was often… let's call it a challenging situation. Starting to keep a steady supply of earplugs like these available made it a lot easier to cope with, though — so much so that even now, many, many years later, I still sleep with them. There's something very soothing about drifting off in a little cocoon of silence.Promising review: 'Best I've tried! I've tried a lot of earplugs and these are the most comfortable when sleeping. Photo of Target's 'USA' Collection Goes Viral During Pride Month

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Target is going viral for a collection that features merchandise with the American flag and the word "USA" in posts that have been shared on social media at the beginning of June, which is the beginning of Pride Month. Newsweek has reached out to Target via email for comment. Why It Matters Target announced in January that it would roll back its DEI programs following Trump's executive order to dismantle the federal government's DEI initiatives, which he described as "radical" and wasteful." A Target corporate logo hangs on the front of their store on May 17, 2025, in Jersey City, New Jersey. A Target corporate logo hangs on the front of their store on May 17, 2025, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Getty Images/Gary Herson The move sparked pushback from many customers, who viewed it as a betrayal of the company's previous commitments to promote diversity. Many consumers have boycotted Target over the DEI decision in hopes of pressuring Target to reverse course and reinstitute those initiatives. June marks Pride Month, a celebration that coincides with the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, a series of protests for gay liberation. This year's Pride Month comes at a critical time for LGBTQIA+ people as Republican lawmakers in several states move to end same-sex marriage and the Trump administration has taken multiple steps to unravel protections for transgender Americans. Pride celebrations have been met with swift backlash on social media, reflecting tensions and polarization. What To Know In a post on X, formerly Twitter from @JKHomestad wrote: "Walking into @Target - instead of a giant "PRIDE" display as in the past, they have a USA section!!" The post has been viewed 2.4 million times as of reporting, and it's not clear exactly when it was taken. Walking into @Target - instead of a giant "PRIDE" display as in the past, they have a USA section!! This is winning! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 — Katie Yonke (@JKHomestead) June 1, 2025 Target does have a Pride collection this year, though it has reportedly been scaled back in comparison to recent years, with the aim of "Inclusivity for Everyone," according to a report from the outlet Women's Wear Daily. The Pride collection section on the company's website features various rainbow print items, tops with the word "Proud" printed on them, and has a section for LGBTQ+ owned brands. Target has received criticism from both sides of the political spectrum in recent years. In 2023, many conservatives called for a boycott of the retail chain following the release of its 2023 Pride collection items, which promoted the LGBTQ+ community. Then, in 2024, the retailer was criticized for removing its LQBTQ+ Pride Month range from some of its stores. After rolling back their DEI initiatives earlier this year, Target has received criticism from Liberals, who have also called for a boycott of the retail chain. What People Are Saying Danielle D'Souza Gill, the wife of Republican Congressman Brandon Gill, in a post on X: "In 2023, Target lost over $9 billion and saw its first sales drop in 6 years over their Pride display, per Fox. Now, their Pride display is gone, replaced by a massive USA display. They are now saluting the right flag!" Derrick Evans, in a post viewed 598,100 times on X: "Target OPTS OUT of Pride month & replaced its Pride collection with an America First Summer display. Target also recently scrapped its DEI program." What's Next Pride Month celebrations will take place across the U.S. this month, with the annual WorldPride set to take place in Washington, D.C., this year.

In case you missed it, longtime besties Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez reunited for a girls' night out this past Saturday, May 31, in New York City, and they both looked fab as usual. For the outing, the songstress was spotted wearing a sleek black Gucci set that showcased her legs-for-days, pairing her ensemble with metallic platform sandals. While her fit was, indeed, super cute, I couldn't help but zero in on what she was holding it in her hand—a boxy leather bag with a bamboo handle. Also from Gucci, the petite purse's bamboo accent was just the thing to sneak a subtle, summery touch into her evening look, without going full-on beach bag. Personally, I'm obsessed. But since Swift's exact bag is going for over $1,800 on resale sites, I took it upon myself to sniff out some more affordable—but equally as night-out-worthy—options featuring that signature bamboo handle and structured shape. Target Practical, fashionable and affordable, this top-handle bag from Target has a remarkably similar look to Tay's—but costs a fraction of the price. Between the bamboo handle and faux leather construction, the craftsmanship is stellar, according to many shoppers. As one 5-star buyer writes, "Super cute! Great spring bag. Reminds me of a bag from White Lotus! It fits an iPhone 16 Pro Max no problem." The added scarf accent is adorable, but you can also remove it for a sleeker look $25 at target Nordstrom Rack If you're specifically looking for a top-handle bag that doubles as a crossbody, look no further than this posh pick from Olga Berg. It features a magnetic snap flap closure that ensures your belongings are secure, and an adjustable crossbody strap that can be clipped on for hands-free carrying. Plus, you can dress it up or down depending on what you're wearing, giving you plenty of versatility. $95; $50 at nordstrom rack LeSportsac Another bamboo-topped essential that needs to be added to your closet *ASAP,* this little guy is perfect for concerts, festivals and even beach days thanks to its signature LeSportsac construction, complete with a zippered interior pocket and zippered main compartment. It's got plenty of room for your phone, sunnies, hand sanitizer and wallet, per the brand, so you can hit the town with everything you need. The top handles are connected by sturdy D-rings, and its durable fabric ensures no scratch marks or scuffing. $180; $126 at lesportsac Lily Pulitzer In search of some more daytime-friendly options? This oh-so-ladylike bag from Lilly Pulitzer comes in multiple coastal colorways, including this perky "Bluette" shade that I can't get enough of. Crafted from wicker with bamboo detailing, it also comes with a gold-accented chain strap that allows you to carry it as a crossbody, and boasts a turnlock closure for security. The reviews say it all, with one buyer raving, "This bag fits everything that I need—my wallet, glasses, phone, lipstick and a few other tiny items. The beautiful handle with an option for crossbody is fantastic! Great quality!" $248 at Lily Pulitzer Amazon Ringing in at under $40, this woven straw purse gets you the look above for less. In addition to the bamboo handles, it features gold hardware and leather accents that give it a totally luxe look—but that's not all. The vacation-ready bag even includes a crossbody strap that you can take on and off at your convenience. "I purchased this timeless bag to use at my son's college graduation, and I could not be happier," raves one 5-star Amazon buyer. Pride on the Decline?

Bad news, it's pride month. Good news, seemingly fewer entities are forcibly celebrating it. I'm Tomi Lahren, more next. I've got nothing against the gay community, I simply think it's ridiculous the world is expected to celebrate and acknowledge your sexual preferences every June. Every Pride Month we are subjected to an onslaught of sexual perversion. The good news is, however, I have noticed significantly less of it so far this year. Fewer companies have swapped out their logos for a rainbow tribute and fewer organizations are boasting the made up significance of the month. For example, I went to Target over the weekend here in Nashville, TN and there was not a rainbow or junk tucking bikini bottom in sight! Target seemingly got the hint, at least here in Tennessee, and instead had the Independence Day patriotic merchandise front and center. And, another encouraging sign, currently the front page of the Target website features FATHER'S DAY, yes, FATHER'S DAY, rather than the usual forced celebration of the sexual preferences of the minority. So, perhaps America is healing? Perhaps we can all go about our daily business without the rainbows, parades, and overt sexual paraphernalia shoved in our faces at every turn? Again I'll say, PRIDE is a personal thing. YOU celebrate YOU, but don't make the rest of us take part.
