Chenango Forks Freshman to chase Records at AAU National Powerlifting Championships
Evan Truesdale already has multiple New York State records and is looking to add United States and World records to the list in Nevada for the Championships.
'I'm gonna be hyped. I'm gonna be psyched. I'm gonna be, yeah, let's go. I'm nervous for sure, but I'm confident. I'm really confident,' said Truesdale.
He has the records for the state in his age and weight group in the total, bench, squat, and deadlift. He set the bench at 254 pounds, the squat at 392 pounds, and the deadlift at 475 pounds.
'I have a lot of people supporting me,' he said. 'I'm nervous, but I've worked a lot, and I feel like I've outworked my self-doubt.'
From lifting his couch and ping pong table, to now trying to break world records, Truesdale has confidence in himself that he will be able to do it, and represent the Chenango Forks community.
'It's taken a lot to get there, but I have a very strict routine, a very strict diet. I have worked a lot, and I have a very supportive group, my family, my friends.'
In Nevada, he will be chasing a 410-pound squat and a 516-pound deadlift.

College Football Left Clemson Behind. So Clemson Revolutionized College Football.
In today's college football, where players change teams as often as they take a shower, standing pat means you're falling behind. Every offseason, the country's best teams frantically restock their rosters, poaching a star quarterback or receiver from a rival school because someone else is trying to poach theirs. This coast-to-coast game of musical chairs is simply the cost of competing for championships in college football's transfer-portal era.

Fine racing a theme as A&T hosts Individual Championships
There was a great day of racing at Gin Pit as Astley and Tyldesley Cycle Speedway Club hosted the North & Scotland Individual Championships on Sunday. The early matches saw A&T's Alex Lawless and Hull's Harry Gibson winning the Under-10 and U13 matches, respectively, with maximum scores. It was a similar story for the next round of matches, as Hull's Noah Lyon and Sheffield's Dariusz Pilas won the U16 and Over-40 competitions with maximum scores. The U19 match was highly competitive, as the three leading scorers all went into the last race level on points, before Lyon took the race win to complete a double. Sheffield's Lizzie Rigley raced to a maximum score to win the Women's event. There were rostrum places for A&T duo James Jackson (second in the U10s) and Steve Harris (second in the O40s). Eighteen riders lined up for the Senior event, so a 15-heats pre-qualifier took place to determine the 16 finalists. A superb 20 heats of racing took place in a very competitive match as Fife's Kayden Davidson beat Sheffield's Pawel Idziorek in the decisive heat 19 to take the title, with Hull's Jack Lister securing third place overall. Defending champion, A&T's John White, finished with 13 points.
