TV tonight: a new hospital mockumentary for fans of The Office
10.40pm, BBC OneIf Scrubs met Abbott Elementary, you'd get something like this American hospital mockumentary series (but lower your expectations a wee bit). It's from Justin Spitzer – who created Superstore and wrote for The Office – and Eric Ledgin, and follows the dedicated if exhausted team at an underfunded hospital in Oregon. 8.30pm, BBC OneHammond is uncharacteristically 'nervous' as she meets Mel B – whom she has already interviewed three times and found to be 'cagey'. Can she disarm her over a weekend at Mel's leopard print farmhouse in Leeds? Luckily, the former Spice Girl's mum, who is a super-fan of Hammond, joins them on the sofa for a big, long chat. HR

It's the final leg of Lumley's voyage down the Danube and she leaves Serbia to enter Romania via the Iron Gates gorge. In conversation with presenters Alex Jones and Roman Kemp, Lulu confessed that penning the memoir was challenging due to the necessity of confronting aspects of her life she had previously 'assumed' about. The celebrated singer acknowledged: "People think they know Lulu but no one knows you. I've always been very careful, very private and chatty but I keep a lot of things to myself. Now I'm talking about everything and this is because the landscape has changed.", reports Bristol Live. She elaborated on the shift in societal attitudes, noting: "When I was younger everything was a secret and there was a lot of shame because you didn't talk about things but today people talk about things and I think it's healthy. I've had an amazing life but there are certain things in my life that I've never discussed." In a heartfelt admission, Lulu revealed: "I had to go to therapy because it was difficult not to unravel the things that I've been told not to say and the things I was assumed of. Once you've spoken about the things you're assumed of." She explained: "I have mental health issues, I've come through a lot, my family and it's things that I didn't want to talk about but I reveal it in the book, which is kind of like being let out of jail." As the singer spoke candidly, viewers at home couldn't help but notice her age-defying appearance, promptly taking to social media to express their amazement. Someone tweeted on X, previously known as Twitter: "Lulu looks great for 76 #TheOneShow." Another viewer expressed: "#TheOneShow Lulu looks amazing! She looks so young. Love her! ." Dawn French ‘dismisses' Oct 7 Hamas attacks
Dawn French has been accused of dismissing the Oct 7 Hamas attacks in Israel in a new social media video. The British comedian and actress, 67, posted a video of herself to X in which she appears to mimic Israel's supporters amid the military campaign in Gaza. In the video, published by French on the social media platform on Thursday, she says about the conflict in the Middle East: 'Complicated, no, but nuanced. But [the] bottom line is no.' She then goes on to mimic apparent defences of Israel's military campaign in neighbouring Gaza since the Hamas-led massacre in 2023, saying: ''Yeah but you know they did a bad thing to us'... Yeah, but no. ''But we want that land and there's a lot of history…'. No. 'These people are not even people, are they really?' No.' In response to the viral tweet, which has been viewed more than half a million times in the 24 hours since it was published, Tracy-Ann Oberman, the West End star and playwright, branded French's tone as 'mocking'. I am so saddened by this post . Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza in response to Hamas's massacre on Oct 7 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed by the terror group and 251 others were taken hostage. There are now 56 hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza, at least 20 of whom are believed to be alive. Israel said its expanded offensive in the Strip, named Operation Gideon's Chariot, will increase the chances of returning the missing. 'Wow, this is really bad' The Hamas-run health ministry that operates in Gaza has said that at least 54,000 people have been killed in the territory during the war. Hamas has rejected proposed ceasefire and hostage release deals that do not guarantee a full Israel withdrawal from the Strip and an end to the war. Other responses to French's post include the financier Ben Goldsmith, who has been a strong defender of Israel's response to the Hamas terrorist attacks. He remarked: 'Wow, this is really bad. Who knew.' Elsewhere, comedy writer and self-described 'champion of Jewish rights' Lee Kern wrote: 'What you sneeringly mock as a 'bad thing' included the grieving children I met in hospital whose friends and family had been murdered, kidnapped and raped and who themselves were coming to terms with their own life-altering injuries. 'It also includes the 1,200 people murdered and tortured on October 7th… you proactively broadcast – with misplaced pride – a wicked glee in your mockery and dismissal of Jewish suffering, pain and death.' In a subsequent post following the criticism by Oberman, French clarified that she did not mean to 'support the atrocities of Oct 7th'. Writing on X, she said: 'I do not say 'a little thing'. In NO WAY do I support the atrocities of Oct 7th. Of course not. Appalling. Horrific. 'But starving innocent children is not the answer. NO is the answer to ALL of it, Tracy.'

Reports: Oregon WR Evan Stewart injured, season in doubt
June 6 - Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewart's 2025 season could be in jeopardy following a significant injury this week, multiple outlets reported. CBS Sports called it a "significant" lower-body injury. College Football Headlines posted on X that Stewart sustained a torn patellar tendon. Stewart finished third on the Ducks with 613 receiving yards last season, adding 48 receptions and five touchdowns in 13 games in his first season with the school. He had 112 yards in a win against Boise State on Sept. 7 and 149 in a win against Ohio State on Oct. 12.
