JoJo Siwa has officially set the record straight on her sexuality amid her budding romance with Love Island star Chris Hughes.
The Dance Moms alum, 22 - who was recently mocked by Miley Cyrus - opened up about the topic during an interview with E! News this week.
It was confirmed earlier this month that the singer and TV personality, 32, are dating after first crossing paths on Celebrity Big Brother U.K. a few months earlier in April.
Siwa first came out as part of the LGBTQ + community in 2021 - and initially identified as pansexual before coming out as lesbian. However, JoJo expressed to the outlet on Friday that she is queer.
'I think the most beautiful term now is queer. I think queer is an umbrella of, "Look, I'm just me,"' the performer stated.
'And I think the most beautiful thing about the LGBTQIA community is love. And that goes both ways.'
Siwa continued, 'There's loads of beautiful, different sexualities. Sexuality and queerness is a lovely rainbow that has all different places, and it also has places on this rainbow that we don't even know exist yet.'
The star brushed aside criticism and explained, 'I feel so in the right position for myself. I feel so content with my happiness.
'I feel so relaxed and at ease with where I'm at. I feel so happy and peaceful that the love that I feel is so real. You can't really help who you fall in love with.'
JoJo also briefly talked about her new beau Chris and revealed that she has 'never 'second guessed' what she feels for the reality star.
'Therefore, I've never second guessed my happiness, I've never second guessed what I'm feeling. And I think that's the most beautiful thing.'
Siwa further added, 'When I think about him, I'm full of pure joy. When I speak about him, I'm full of pure joy.'
Back in April, the dancer first crossed paths with Hughes on Celebrity Big Brother - where they first developed a close friendship.

Earlier this month, Siwa publicly confirmed her new romance with Chris during an interview for Capital Radio.
She admitted that their relationship was no longer 'platonic' and said that she was 'head over heels' for Hughes.
'I'm sure it's no secret to people, I am in a lovely relationship with a sweet boy named Christopher Hughes.'
The media personality also expressed, 'It's not platonic any more, and it's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way.'
The singer also shut down rumors that their romance was simply a publicity stunt and said, 'Clearly, you've never been around us. I won't ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now.
'Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I've never [before] been in pain from smiling so much.'
And during an appearance on Capital Breakfast, JoJo described their relationship as 'earthquake proof.'
She explained, 'You know what's interesting? As hectic as life is, and as much as that noise goes on, I feel like Christopher and I discovered this beautiful house together. And this house is earthquake proof, and it's fireproof, and bulletproof.
'And you know, we discovered this house and found the keys, and we took the keys and locked ourselves in, and now it's like... You know what I mean? I feel like that with myself, I feel like that with him.'
Siwa - who has had the chance to meet Hughes' parents - also stated that she is very happy with Chris and said that he makes her want to be a better person each day.
The dancer said, 'He makes me we want to be nicer, because he's such a nice human. He's the best egg in the batch! I could never get tired of speaking highly of him, he's just the best.'

'Go be obsessed with those that are screaming for the attention, they love it and they are build for it,' Kath further added.
'I'm not and never asked for any of this. My only crime was being in a committed loving relationship and then humiliated on a world stage. How does that make me a horrible person?'
In another post she continued, 'I've been working so hard to hold my own everyday through this.
'Using the tools I have to weather the storm, stay sane and sit knowing I don't need to share the truth of it with the world because those that actually matter in REAL life know exactly what happened and that should be all that matters to me.'
Ebbs admitted that, 'It's all be so so toxic and I'm at my wits end' and wished that 'people would put themselves in someone else's shoes for a moment before indulging in this kind of online toxicity.'
In conclusion, she wrote, 'Better yet to a person that literally did nothing wrong. I'm so sick of being gaslight over and over again by said people and the public. It needs to stop.
'You don't need to choose sides, instead you could do me the courtesy of letting me in heal in peace.'
Jojo's latest comments come shortly after Miley Cyrus ignited outrage as she seemingly shaded Siwa earlier this month.
The Grammy winner could be seen in a video message for WorldPride while standing inside a closet.
'Oh, my God, I haven't been in here since sixth grade!' she said. 'Enjoy coming out of the closet if this Pride is the time for you. It shouldn't be a month - it should be a year; it should be infinite.'
Cyrus then jokingly added, 'I'm going back inside to get more pretzels and find JoJo Siwa and bring her back out.'
However, the humor didn't land with some fans who took to social media to share their thoughts with one penning on X, 'Can ya'll just let bi people exist?'
'I adore Miley, but this isn't OK,' another wrote, and one added, 'Again, JoJo being with Chris doesn't erase or change her attraction to women. Pride month should be about celebrating all members of the LGBT+ community, not about making jibes like this.'
JoJo recently hit back at Cyrus and shared to her fans in a lengthy post that she had reached out to the Flowers singer over the joke.
At one point, she wrote: 'I don't believe what Miley said at world pride was ill intended, honestly I think it was meant to be a joke, but just not very good one haha.
'Not what the world, or myself needs to hear any day of the week. I messaged miley light heartedly about it and she replied and said 'All love. Always . ❤️❤️❤️.'
She continued, 'Love love love love love.❤️ People judge no matter what, and it can be very hard, especially when it comes from someone you love, and look up to…
'But if you feel happy and content with yourself, that's most important. You get one life… hold onto it, make it yours, find your happy, and love.'
