
P.E.I. potato growers face market concerns, lower prices as planting gets underway
P.E.I. potato producers are out in their fields working long hours to get their 2025 crop into the ground. Some are behind because of cold, wet weather this spring. Meanwhile, processing growers have taken a cut in what they are being paid because of sagging French fry sales in restaurants and fast food outlets. That's causing uncertainty, as are looming tariffs. CBC's Nancy Russell has the story.
