Top-rated Atlanta bakery has just opened its first Florida location

Miami Herald18-06-2025
A colorful assortment of sweet and savory baked goods line display cases inside Sweet Hut Bakery & Cafe's first Florida store.
The shop, which has five locations in Georgia and another in Texas, recently opened in the Orange Blossom shopping plaza on Cortez Road in Bradenton.
'We wanted to be kind of like a [feeling] at home,' store manager Tonny Yin said about choosing the area. 'So we wanted to allow people to come and relax.'
What's on the menu?
Sweet Hut features Asian pastries, buns, homemade cookies, cakes, sandwiches, burgers, coffee, teas and an assortment of fruit-flavored refresher drinks.
'There's a lot of savory stuff as well,' Yin said.
Sweet Hut was founded in 2012 by Howie Ewe and Amy Wong in Atlanta, according to Plano Magazine.
It's since become a hit, claiming the No. 1 spot on Trip Advisor's 'Best Bakeries in Atlanta' and frequently appearing on lists of the city's favorite places for a sweet treat.
In Bradenton, Yin said customer favorites so far include Sweet Hut's fruit cake and its strawberry cake — a brightly frosted vanilla sponge cake with layers of fresh-cut strawberries and cream.
'We don't make it too sweet, so people can still enjoy it and not get tired of eating it,' Yin said.
Yin said there is a lot of Malaysian and Chinese influence in the food.
'Mostly … the seasonings that we put into our meats,' he said. 'We have mini-baos as well, a fried dough used as a bun. And it's like we have the toppings, and the meat is seasoned. It's a bulgogi meat, so it's marinated in a sauce.'
In addition to the sweet and savory food menu, there's a drink menu that includes coffee, frappes, milk teas, fruit teas and more.
Yin said his favorite is the jasmine green milk tea.
After picking a drink, customers can also select from an array of toppings that include boba, chia seeds, various flavored jellies and puddings.

New York, New York--(Newsfile Corp. - August 1, 2025) - WHY: Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, continues to investigate potential securities claims on behalf of shareholders of KBR, Inc. (NYSE: KBR) resulting from allegations that KBR may have issued materially misleading business information to the investing public. ROSEN, SKILLED INVESTOR COUNSEL, Encourages Fiserv, Inc. Investors to Secure Counsel Before Important Deadline in Securities Class Action

New York, New York--(Newsfile Corp. - August 1, 2025) - WHY: Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, reminds purchasers of common stock of Fiserv, Inc. (NYSE: FI) between July 24, 2024 and July 22, 2025, both dates inclusive (the 'Class Period'), of the important September 22, 2025 lead plaintiff deadline. SO WHAT: If you purchased Fiserv common stock during the Class Period you may be entitled to compensation without payment of any out of pocket fees or costs through a contingency fee arrangement. WHAT TO DO NEXT: To join the Fiserv class action, go to or call Phillip Kim, Esq. at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for more information. A class action lawsuit has already been filed. If you wish to serve as lead plaintiff, you must move the Court no later than September 22, 2025. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation. WHY ROSEN LAW: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources, or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually litigate securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company at the time. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. In 2020, founding partner Laurence Rosen was named by law360 as a Titan of Plaintiffs' Bar. Many of the firm's attorneys have been recognized by Lawdragon and Super Lawyers. DETAILS OF THE CASE: According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period, defendants made false and misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) due to cost issues and other problems with its older Payeezy platform, Fiserv forced Payeezy merchants to migrate to its Clover platform; (2) Clover's revenue growth and gross payment volume ('GPV'), the total monetary value of transactions processed through Clover, were temporarily and unsustainably boosted by these forced conversions, which concealed a slowdown in new merchant business; (3) shortly after these conversions, a significant portion of former Payeezy merchants switched to competing solutions due to Clover's high pricing, significant down time, and systematic compatibility issues; (4) as a result of these merchant losses, Clover's GPV growth was significantly slowing, and its revenue growth was unsustainable; and (5) based on the foregoing, Fiserv's positive Class Period statements about Clover's growth strategies, competition, attrition, GPV growth, and business prospects were materially false and misleading. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages. To join the Fiserv class action, go to or call Phillip Kim, Esq. at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for more information. No Class Has Been Certified. Until a class is certified, you are not represented by counsel unless you retain one. You may select counsel of your choice. You may also remain an absent class member and do nothing at this point. An investor's ability to share in any potential future recovery is not dependent upon serving as lead plaintiff. Follow us for updates on LinkedIn: on Twitter: or on Facebook: Attorney Advertising. To Disrupt A Mafia: How A 20-Year-Strategy Is Collapsing

From a cultural perspective, Americans are quite different from the people of China, whether it's in daily habits or how they interact with others. But in a very special way, there's one group of Americans that is similar to mainland Chinese: the New Yorkers. It has to do with how they understand business. And because Chinese mainlanders and New Yorkers intuitively know what it takes to strike deals, one particular man from New York seems to be piercing through the Chinese Communist Party's trade tactics—simply by being himself. Join Terri for an analysis of why President Donald Trump has a unique perspective in handling the Chinese regime, and why the new stablecoins law pulls the rug from under the CCP and puts it on the defensive.
