Brigade Enterprises shares rose over 2% in early trade after its flexible workspace brand, BuzzWorks, launched a brand-new 50,000 sq. ft. centre at Mindspace Business Park in Hyderabad's HITEC City. The new facility adds 1,000 desks and marks BuzzWorks' second location in the city.
With this launch, BuzzWorks continues to extend its presence beyond Brigade-owned buildings, targeting high-demand commercial hubs. The new workspace, themed 'ModZen'—a modern-meets-Zen concept—caters to the evolving needs of today's professionals with features like wellness zones, collaboration areas, phone booths, a common boardroom, and a recreation space.
Strategically placed in the heart of the Cyberabad IT corridor, the centre offers excellent connectivity, including direct access to Raidurg Metro Station via a skywalk just 650 metres away, plus proximity to Gachibowli, the airport, and key transit points.
BuzzWorks already operates a popular 'Urban Forest'-themed centre at Auro Orbit in Hyderabad, and this latest launch strengthens Brigade Group's push into the premium, managed office space segment.
Brigade Enterprises shares opened at ₹1,098.40 today. The stock went up to ₹1,121.00 and fell to a low of ₹1,097.00 during the day. Its 52-week high is ₹1,448.70, and the 52-week low is ₹852.00.

An Italian Mainstay in Beacon Hill Will Close After 22 Years

is the deputy editor of Eater's Northeast region, covering Boston, Philly, D.C. and New York. Based in Boston, she has spent years covering the local restaurant industry. Grotto, a longstanding Italian restaurant in Beacon Hill, is bowing out in September. Chef and owner Scott Herrit wrote in a message on the website that it 'has been a very difficult decision, but the time has come for a new chapter.' Herrit launched the restaurant 22 years ago, at 37 Bowdoin Street, in a small, subterranean space with exposed brick walls and a cozy feel. Tables were often crowded with plates of pasta, from short rib gnocchi with mushrooms and gorgonzola to the crowd-pleasing spaghetti and meatballs with 'Grotto's Insanely Fabulous Tomato Sauce.' The exact closing date has not yet been announced, but the restaurant's lease is up in September, and the final night of service will happen sometime before it expires. Until then, Grotto is open for dinner nightly from 5 to 9 p.m. A Back Bay pastry favorite unexpectedly closes Jonquils Cafe & Bakery, the Newbury Street cafe known for its elegant, geometric pastries, unexpectedly closed down this week. The cafe posted a vague message on Instagram announcing that the business would be closed 'until further notice.' It's not clear why the shutdown occurred, or when or if the cafe will reopen. An African all-day cafe expands to Northeastern University Nubian Markets — the all-day cafe that traces the African diaspora with hits like a must-try burger with berbere-citrus mayo, plus a halal butchery and market showcasing goods from local Black-owned vendors — is expanding. After two years in Roxbury's Nubian Square, the team is adding another location in the neighborhood, at 742 Columbus Avenue, in the former Underground Cafe and Lounge space near Northeastern University. No word yet on an exact opening date, but keep an eye on the market's Instagram for more details as construction progresses. JK Lakshmi Cement to acquire 26% stake in renewable energy SPV Opera Vayu

By Aman Shukla Published on August 1, 2025, 19:17 IST JK Lakshmi Cement has announced that its Committee of Directors, in a meeting held on August 1, 2025, approved entering into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Share Subscription & Shareholders' Agreement with Opera Vayu (Narmada) Private Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) focused on renewable energy. As part of the agreement, JK Lakshmi Cement will acquire a 26% equity stake in the SPV for up to ₹4 crore. This strategic investment aligns with the company's goal to enhance renewable power sourcing and reduce energy costs at its manufacturing locations. The project involves setting up a 4 MWp wind and solar hybrid power plant under the captive power route. The SPV, incorporated on August 1, 2022, is backed by project implementor Shivman Wind Energy Private Limited. Though the SPV reported no turnover or profit as of FY25, it has a net worth of ₹77.56 crore. Following the acquisition, Opera Vayu (Narmada) will become an associate company of JK Lakshmi Cement, providing clean energy at competitive rates for 12 years. The transaction, not falling under related party arrangements, will be completed by December 31, 2025, and is structured as a cash deal. No regulatory approvals are required. Chery hails 10k UK orders for Jaecoo 7

Chery-owned brand Jaecoo says it has received more than 10,000 orders in the UK for the Jaecoo 7 model just seven months after launch in January 2025 The brand in Britain has a 75+-strong dealer network and, it says, 'robust aftersales support'. The Jaecoo 7 model is available in both pure-petrol and the 'highly popular' Super Hybrid System powertrains. Jaecoo says the milestone underscores the brand's 'rapid rise in visibility' through major partnerships and high-profile appearances across UK cultural and automotive events, alongside its commitment to a customer-first approach and a 'revered warranty offering'. Jaecoo UK cites the Goodwood festival of speed presence and sponsorship at the EPCR rugby tournament final as examples of high profile presence relevant to its brand promotion activity in the UK. A smaller compact crossover Jaecoo 5 is available to order now from GBP24,505. Deliveries for the Jaecoo 5 will commence in October, and a pure EV will also be offered for this model, with more information on that powertrain 'to be announced in the coming weeks'. Gary Lan, CEO of Jaecoo UK, said: 'To pass 10,000 orders for the Jaecoo 7 in just seven months is a clear signal of what's possible when a new brand combines real product quality with cultural relevance and strategic visibility. We've worked hard to make Jaecoo a brand people can see, feel and experience – whether at events, on the road, or through our growing retailer network. This is just the beginning.'
