Pregnant Sophie Habboo and husband Jamie Laing set to star in new Disney+ series exploring their 'no holds barred whirlwind journey' to parenthood

Daily Mail13 hours ago

Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing are set to document their 'no holds barred whirlwind journey' to parenthood in an upcoming Disney+ series.
The pregnant TV star, 30, and her presenter husband, 36 - who tied the knot in 2023 - will bringing their journey to becoming parents to screens, after sharing last month that they are expecting their first child.
The Made In Chelsea couple - who are known for their infectious energy and no filter truth-telling - will take viewers through the steps of the next chapter in their lives in a 'refreshingly relatable series'.
The docuseries will explore everything from Sophie's pregnancy to balancing their busy professional lives, as well as moving into their first family home, navigating support – and unsolicited advice.
Fans will be also treated to a closer look of how the IT couple managed to build up their top-charting podcast.
Speaking of the upcoming project, Jamie and Sophie said: 'For nearly a decade, we've brought audiences along the highs and lows of our personal and professional lives through TV, radio, social media and our podcasts.
'It's such an honour to now partner with the incredible teams at Disney+ and Dorothy St Pictures to bring our next chapter to viewers across the globe.
'Navigating our lives with a baby on the way has opened up a whole new stage of our relationship – we can't wait to give you a front row seat!'
The series was commissioned by Sean Doyle, Executive Director and is produced by Dorothy St Pictures in association with Jampot Productions.
Sean, Executive Director of Unscripted at Disney+, said: 'We've seen great success over the past couple of years with our Disney+ Original unscripted series such as 'Finding Michael', 'Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story', 'Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story' and more recently, 'Flintoff'.
The happy lovebirds and soon to be parents announced they were expecting their first child together earlier this month - revealing the news with an ultrasound snap.
The news comes as Disney+ also announced the reboot of a legendary dating show along with a new reality series set to explore Wayne and Coleen Rooney 's relationship 'like never before'.
Blind Date was famously hosted by the late Cilla Black from 1985 to 2003 and now the show will return to screens 'bigger, better, and bolder than ever'.
The new ten-part series will start in a secret location and contestants will be faced with the choice between three potential suitors who will be hidden away behind the legendary 'Blind Date' wall.
Disney+ promises 'head-turning' twists as the couples spend the summer living together, and production is set to begin later this year.
The iconic British game show originally saw a contestant question three potential dates hidden behind a screen – which would then slide back to reveal their chosen match.
Though not yet officially confirmed, it was previously reported the new version will take place on a tropical island, just like ITV 's Love Island, hosted by Maya Jama – with contestants battling it out for a dream wedding on golden sands.
A TV insider previously told The Sun: 'This sounds like a radical departure from the old Blind Date, one that definitely has hints of Love Island about it.
'But fans will recall a lot of the dates took place in hot, sunny climes abroad, and producers want to recapture some of the steamy fun, and expand upon that.
'Even the wedding element has hints of the old show because the dream was always that the dates on the programme would lead to couples tying the knot.'

Emma Raducanu's Wimbledon hopes almost derailed by flying champagne cork in bizarre incident

EMMA RADUCANU'S Wimbledon hopes were almost derailed by a flying champagne cork. The bizarre incident occurred in her first round win over fellow Brit Mimi Xu, 17. Raducanu, 22, beat the South Wales schoolgirl 6-3 6-3 in a competitive game. However, the US Open winner nearly fell victim to a stray champagne cork from the crowd. One excited punter got carried away while opening the bottle of bubbly, sending the cork flying onto the court. It narrowly missed Raducanu but did not put the ace off her stride. She later poked fun at the incident after sealing victory. Raducanu said: 'I'm glad people were having fun today. I saw a champagne cork fly onto the court. 'I'm glad you guys are having a good time. Cheers to you.' Raducanu is now set to play Marketa Vondrousova in the second round tomorrow. Also taking place on Wednesday is the draw for the mixed doubles. Raducanu will link up with SW19 champion Carlos Alcaraz for the adventure amid swirling reports of a blossoming romance. Carlos Alcaraz claims he 'will do whatever she wants me to do' in revealing Emma Raducanu interview after Wimbledon win Both players have denied there's anything happening though, with Raducanu previously explaining: 'We're just good friends.' Meanwhile, Alcaraz lifted the lid on their tactical plan for the mixed doubles by admitting Raducanu will take charge on the court. He said: 'I'm just gonna serve and I'm gonna pull myself away and I let her play. 'She will cover a lot of the court. She will be the boss! I will do whatever she wants me to do.'

Chief Rabbi says 'vile Jew-hatred at Glastonbury' a 'national shame'

The UK's Chief Rabbi has strongly criticised "the airing of vile Jew-hate at Glastonbury" after a live broadcast of Bob Vylan's performance at the festival went out on the BBC, during which the band's singer led the crowd in chants of "death, death to the IDF [Israel Defense Forces]".Writing on X, Sir Ephraim Mirvis wrote: "This is a time of national shame. The airing of vile Jew-hatred at Glastonbury and the BBC's belated and mishandled response, brings confidence in our national broadcaster's ability to treat antisemitism seriously to a new low."It should trouble all decent people that now, one need only couch their outright incitement to violence and hatred as edgy political commentary, for ordinary people to not only fail to see it for what it is, but also to cheer it, chant it and celebrate it. Toxic Jew-hatred is a threat to our entire a statement issued on Monday, the BBC said: "The team were dealing with a live situation but with hindsight we should have pulled the stream during the performance. We regret this did not happen." A criminal investigation has now been launched over performances by both Bob Vylan and Irish band Kneecap at Glastonbury on Saturday, Avon and Somerset Police has force said it had appointed a senior detective to investigate whether comments made by either act amounted to a criminal offence after reviewing footage.A statement added: "This has been recorded as a public order incident at this time while our enquiries are at an early stage."Speaking in Parliament on Monday after the announcement, Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy called the scenes broadcast "appalling and unacceptable".
