After months of speculations, it has been confirmed today that Creative Director Jonathan Anderson has officially departed LOEWE.
When Jonathan Anderson took the helm at Loewe 11 years ago, few could have predicted the radical transformation that lay ahead.
The Irish designer, already loved and lauded for his avant-garde kitsch approach at JW Anderson, was tasked with revitalising the Spanish luxury house—a heritage brand known primarily for its leather craftsmanship. In just over a decade, Anderson has not only reshaped Loewe's aesthetic but has also catapulted and redefined its place in the modern luxury landscape, continuously pushing boundaries through cerebral sensibility.
During Anderson's tenure, he overhauled the brand's visual identity from the logo to its campaigns, and more. He also strengthened the brand's positioning in ready-to-wear collections, which previously, only played a secondary role to its leather goods. Under his creative direction, Loewe's runway show are one of the hotly anticipated in the fashion week calendar, consistently bringing together a buzzed about show season after season. His ability to honour the storied brand's artisanal roots, while merging them with an eclectic and artistic spirit is evident in every collection, from sculptural tailoring, knitwear, and dresses to artisanal leather pieces. As the brand grew, Loewe also successfully expanded its brick and mortar presence while under Anderson's creative helm.
Beyond fashion and retail, Anderson has positioned Loewe at the intersection of art and pop culture, evident in the brand's collaborations and partnerships throughout the years with contemporary artists and influential celebrities in Hollywood and beyond.
Through all his curatorial efforts and passion, Loewe has become not only a storied fashion house but rather a cultural powerhouse—a brand that speaks to a new generation of luxury consumers who value creativity, artistry, and narrative depth.
Anderson shares in an Instagram post today, 'Eleven years ago, I was given the most incredible opportunity: to write a chapter in a story that is now 179 years old. Since my first day at LOEWE I found kindred spirits in the design studio and the atelier, whose talents were, and still are, second to none. Thank you for sharing your craft. Over the last eleven years, I have been lucky enough to be surrounded by people with the imagination, the skills, tenacity and resourcefulness to find a way to say 'yes' to all my wildly ambitious ideas. Looking back, I've come to realise that a brand is not built on the first show, or even a first year of shows, it's built slowly season upon season, year upon year, on what is right for a brand. One of my proudest achievements is launching the Craft Prize. We created a platform that genuinely supports and gives visibility to vanishing crafts, young makers, old masters, and new ideas. I would like to thank the Foundation team, the members of the Jury and Expert panel for their time and dedication. Since day one, I envisioned creating a cultural brand. This idea relied heavily on the trust and generosity of the many artists, craftspeople, estates, foundations, museums and galleries who contributed their work. I am sincerely grateful to you all. Thank you to all those who supported me and my vision and to all the people who made every show possible. And to those who appeared in campaigns, wrote articles, bought products, or simply ked a post – you have mac is all possib They say all good things must to come to an end, but I disagree. While my own Lope ratory a close, Love, Jonathan.'
To achieve all of this in a decade is not an easy feat and definitely has left a big shoes to fill for the next artistic director succeeding Anderson. Stay tuned for updates! – For more on luxury lifestyle, news, fashion and beauty follow Emirates Woman on Facebook and Instagram

Pop singer Jessie J says she has been diagnosed with early breast cancer
The English pop singer Jessie J says she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will undergo surgery after her performance at the London music festival Capital's Summertime Ball next weekend. Jessie J, 37, shared the news in an Instagram video on Wednesday. "I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,' she said in the clip. "Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding onto the word 'early'." "It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job. I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive (expletive) and more music.' The annual Summertime Ball will be held at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, June 15. She told her social media audience that she felt compelled to share her diagnosis. "I just wanted to be open and share it,' she said. "One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse - that's the bit that kills me.' The Grammy-nominated Jessie J has long been celebrated for her robust soprano and R&B-informed pop hits, like the 2014 collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande, "Bang Bang,' and 2011's "Domino.' She has released five albums across her career, most recently, 2018's Christmas album, "This Christmas Day.' She has been releasing new music in 2025, including the singles "Living My Best Life' and "No Secrets.' A new album is expected later this year. She has a son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, born in 2023. A representative for Jessie J did not immediately respond to The Associated Press' request for comment. Associated Press
