Martine McCutcheon reveals huge TV comeback eight months after her split from ex-husband Jack McManus

Martine McCutcheon has revealed she's set to make a major return to television eight months after her split from husband Jack McManus.
The former EastEnders star, 49, took to Instagram on Thursday to gave a candid insight into her life and career.
In the clip, she shared that she recently filmed scenes for a show which she describes as being a 'number one fan' of, but remained coy on the details.
Sat in her car, she told her followers: 'Hello everybody, I hope you are good, I've just pulled over, I did the school run this morning a bit windswept got the window down just having a hot flush.
'I was looking at my Instagram and I realised that I actually haven't talked to you guys on here, just having a chit chat for such a long time because I've had so much going on and yeah it's been so much change.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
'I've still been managing to do my thing and get back to it, I did a show the other night that I am probably its number one fan.
'I'll share more with you about that nearer the time but loved it, loved it. I've been meditating for the universe and I've decided that I really want to do guided meditations and I want to help people.'
While she kept details of the project under wraps, Martine's comeback tease has sparked a wave of excitement among fans eager to see her back on screen.
Martine is best known for her role as Tiffany Mitchell in the iconic BBC soap EastEnders.
She has also starred in dramas such as Spooks, Agatha Christie's Marple, and Echo Beach, and appeared alongside Hugh Grand in popular Christmas flick Love Actually.
In addition to acting, she's appeared as herself on shows like Loose Women, Celebrity Gogglebox, and showcased her singing talent on The Masked Singer.
Martine had taken a step back from social media following her high-profile divorce from singer Jack.
The actress revealed in August 2024 that Jack had left her after 18 years together - days after she wrote a heartfelt birthday tribute to him.
It later emerged that the pair had put their £1.5million house in Surrey up for sale three months earlier, in May.
Yet after seven months and no luck securing a sale, the asking price has been slashed by £250,000, dropping from its original listing of £1.5million in May to £1.25million.
Martine and Jack now look set to make a loss, having originally purchased the property for £1.3million in June 2022.
The decision to lower the price comes just a week after Martine appeared to take a swipe at her ex in a series of cryptic Instagram posts.
In January, Martine shared a series of quotes on her Stories, and captioned one by vowing to 'keep the faith and look forward' in the wake of her marital split.
In one pointed post, Martine re-shared a quote which read: 'Sometimes, healing means telling people to f**k off,' with the caption: 'Absobloodylutely!'
She went onto share a poem, which said: 'And all this time, you thought you were falling apart, you didn't realise you were actually putting yourself back together.'
Alongside it she wrote: 'For anyone who needs this, keep the faith. Look forward - not back... and smile... you WILL be OK... Maybe even better than OK.'
Martine broke the news of her split in a statement that read: 'After much thought and consideration, Jack has decided it's best for us to separate after 18 years together and I accept his decision.
'We are both so very blessed and grateful for our beautiful, nine-year-old son Rafferty, who's [sic] happiness and welfare has always been, and will continue to be, our number 1 priority.
'We both of course, still cherish and look forward to being parents together to our wonderful boy for the rest of our lives...
'Whilst this decision has evolved over a period of time, we are still finding our new way forward as a family and kindly ask for some privacy at this time... especially for our little boy.'
She continued: 'Our love for Rafferty is something that will never waver or change and we obviously want to protect him and help him feel as safe and secure as possible.
'Many thanks in advance for your respect and support at this difficult time...and I continue to send Jack all the love, luck and happiness for the next chapter of his.
'Rafferty and I (as always,) are rooting for you! Thank you all, for the love and support, now and always...Martine xx.'
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline at the time of Martine's statement, Jack had said: 'There is nothing more to add. I will not be saying anything more about this.'
The couple married in 2012 in Italy's picturesque Lake Como, five years after they started dating.

Blankety Blank viewers in shock after discovering winning contestant died after filming show

A BLANKETY Blank contestant has sadly passed away, with viewers finding out in a tribute at the end of the episode he starred on. Fans tuning into Blankety Blank on Saturday night were left in shock when they learned that the winning contestant had sadly died. 3 Nathanael Hill had passed away after filming for the hit show took place. A tribute flashed up on screen to commemorate his life at the end of the episode hosted by Bradley Walsh, which aired on Saturday night (June 14). Nathanael was seen winning the show's main prize at the end of the programme tonight. And fans were devastated when his passing was revealed and they learned he had died months ago. After the show's credits ended, a memorial screen appeared. The tribute screen simply read: "Nathanael Hill 1985 - 2025." After the tribute flashed up on screen at the end, one person penned: "Jesus. RIP Nathaniel." A second then said: "Well I don't normally bother with the credits at the end of #blanketyblank but that was a sad way to finish a jolly show." "Well I wasn't expecting that. Poor Nathaniel. RIP," said a third. A fourth then penned: "Rest in perfect peace, Nathanael Hill." The Vivienne's final TV appearance aired just days before tragic death aged 32 While a fifth added: "Aw that was a beautiful touch at the end." At just 39 years of age, Nathanael died in April 2025, according to a Liverpool Echo report. The game show star was from Kirkby in Merseyside, and was a doting dad. He worked as an armour officer in the air force and during his time he completed six tours of Iraq, four tours of Afghanistan and worked on Operation Red Flag. During a stint in south-central Asia, Nathanael got injured by shrapnel from a roadside bomb. The bomb was remotely detonated and was medically discharged. Four years after leaving the military Nathanael was diagnosed with late-onset type 1 diabetes. Doctors also found a blood clot in his leg amid the coronavirus pandemic. He then contracted three bouts of sepsis and decided to have an above-knee amputation on his leg in October 2022. After the amputation Nathanael began coaching and got back into triathlons. He was also on the UK paratriathlon pathway with a goal of competing for Team GB. Nathanael's cause of death is not known. Tributes were paid to Nathanael after news of his death broke two months ago. Tritons RUFC shared a touching tribute for their "dear friend and former player". The tribute read: "It is with deep sadness that Liverpool Tritons RUFC announces the passing of our dear friend, former player, and coach, Nathanael Hill – known to many simply as Nate. "Nate was a cherished member of the Tritons for several years. As both a formidable player on the pitch and a passionate, dedicated coach off it, Nate brought skill, heart, and a contagious enthusiasm to everything he did. "His commitment to inclusive rugby and to our community helped shape the club into what it is today." The tribute added: "More than his achievements in the game, Nate will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humour, and the unwavering support he showed to teammates, new players, and friends alike. "His loss will be felt deeply across the club and far beyond." Before his death, Nathanael revealed his dream of achieving gold for Team GB at the 2028 LA Paralympics. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo last year about his Team GB dreams, Nathanael said: 'If I get to represent Team GB it would just be a full circle. It would be a swan song for me. "My last engagement for the Air Force was opening the London 2012 Olympics games and the 2023 Olympics is going to be in LA, America, where I was recognised for saving two American officers' lives. "Now, I can be seen as overcoming this next challenge and to be competing in their country." 3

Look at the state of it! Anger of Blue Peter garden creator as he returns to find an overgrown mess

For decades it has been the pride and joy of the iconic children's programme Blue Peter. But in the latest illustration of the TV institution's demise, its famous garden is today unkempt and overgrown. It is described as being in a sad state by Lee Connelly, the gardener who created it, who was left devastated after returning to the site at Blue Peter's HQ in Salford, Greater Manchester. He made the garden there 14 years ago after the show moved from London 's White City studios. In a video on Instagram, Mr Connelly, who calls himself The Skinny Jean Gardener, was clearly upset. Showing overgrown plants and weeds, he said: 'It's sad to see what it has become. Look at the state of it. I feel like I need to come back and redo it. ' The vegetable patch, where he said he had once planted squashes, was bare. He said: 'I don't think they've used this for a while.' Mr Connelly, who became Blue Peter Gardener in 2014, was so upset that he immediately drew up plans to revamp the garden. He is aiming to return there next month. Blue Peter staff, many of whom were axed when it was revealed in March that it would no longer be transmitted live, are furious that the garden, opened by Princess Anne in 2012, is in such a state. One said: 'It is disgusting. The Blue Peter garden is a national institution. It is a sign of how the show is going overall, which is really, really sad.' The original garden in London, designed by horticulturist Percy Thrower and opened in 1974, had been a mainstay of the show. In it were buried several time capsules and the bodies of the show's pets. A BBC spokesman said: 'We're already working with the Skinny Jean Gardener on plans to renovate the garden. We regularly maintain and film in the garden, including this week's episode.'

Relaxed and joyful royals look as if they've finally put Charles and Kate's cancer troubles behind them

THE royal art of playing the part to perfection was never better illustrated than at yesterday's Trooping the Colour. The slimmed-down monarchy on the palace balcony were brimming with cheer, colour and vibrancy. They all looked relaxed and joyful — as if they had at last put all the troubles of the King and Catherine's cancer diagnoses behind them. It would have been hard not to feel emotional at the minute's silence to honour the victims of the tragic Air India flight bound for Gatwick. The Princess Royal, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales sat stationary on their powerful steeds. Princess Charlotte, a keen rider herself, will have been looking hard at the magnificent number of horses. For once, Queen Camilla didn't have her usual big smile. The wind was giving her trouble holding on to her hat, but she still managed to look the picture of elegance. As head of the Armed Forces, it was an emotional day for the King. But it's something he always enjoys, especially when everyone looks so happy and proud to be there. Prince Louis had the last laugh as he gave a mischievous wave to the crowd. A cheeky end to a cheerful day.
