
Kerry's famous Aqua Dome set to temporarily close after discovery of damage to structure
The Aqua Dome will remain closed until further notice while the damage is fully assessed and necessary repairs are undertaken
Chair of the Aqua Dome, Brian Durran, said:
'We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this unexpected closure. The safety of our visitors and staff is our absolute priority. We are working closely with engineers and structural experts to assess the extent of the damage and to plan the required remedial works. We hope to reopen the Aqua Dome as soon as it is safe to do so and will keep the public informed of any developments.'
The Aqua Dome team will be updating its website (www.AquaDome.ie) and social media platforms with further information as it becomes available.

Warning issued in Limerick over discoloured tap water across neighbourhoods
Today at 13:00 Uisce Éireann has confirmed it is investigating reports of water discoloration affecting households in multiple areas of Limerick. Local public representatives, have posted comments and pictures on social media since the issue was first noticed this week. Residents in the Dooradoyle, Raheen, Clarina and Patrickswell areas have reported changes in the appearance of their water. As a result, a spokesperson for Uisce Éireann said: 'We are investigating reports of discoloration affecting Dooradoyle, Raheen and surrounding areas in Co. Limerick and are working on resolution.' The cause of the discoloration has not yet been confirmed, but the utility says crews are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Customers experiencing issues are encouraged to visit the Uisce Éireann website for updates. Residents are advised not to drink discoloured water and to allow taps to run until water clears.

A Tesco store in Dublin was closed for a period of time on Tuesday as heavy rainfall came through the ceiling of the shop.
