You Know These Popular Songs, Here Are Some Underrated Jams From The Same Artists

Buzz Feed28-06-2025
Okay, we're starting out with Miss Americana herself, because Swifties truly run the world! You know "Cruel Summer", but do you know "But Daddy I Love Him"?
Diehard Swiftie or not, I'm sure you've heard more than a few Taylor Swift songs in your time. But Taylor's most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, contains 30 songs, and some are bound to fly under the radar. "But Daddy I Love Him" tells a lighthearted story of a relationship that people don't approve of. It is one of the longer tracks on the album, and it contains a number of lyrics that will make you laugh out loud. It's the perfect song to play during a summer road trip, just be prepared to sing along!
If you were on TikTok at all last year, you know "Beautiful Things". Now try Benson Boone's earlier hit, "Before You".
We've all screamed along to the chorus of this hit once or twice in our lives. If you like Benson's soulful voice, his earlier hit "Before You" delivers. It has a sweet melody, telling a story of a love that was lost, and boasts the same sing-along factor as all of his other hits.
Still dreaming of the "Pink Pony Club"? Listen to one of Chappell Roan's more underrated tracks, "Guilty Pleasure".
I swear, everything Chappell Roan releases is a bop. There's not a single track on her album that I don't want to belt in the shower. "Guilty Pleasure" has a catchy chorus, plus it shows off Chappell's phenomenal voice! Dare I say I like it *better* than "Pink Pony Club"?
Every summer belongs to Harry Styles, but "Watermelon Sugar" might be a little overplayed by now. Replace it with "Daydreaming"!
Nobody loves Harry Styles more than I do (fight me, if you dare), and "Daydreaming" just might be one of my favorites off of his most recent album from---gulp---all the way back in 2022! It has the carefree, summer vibe of Harry's other music, with a catchy intro that's perfect to sing along with. It will truly make you feel like you're living in a daydream!
Can't stop singing "Too Sweet" by Hozier? Well, "Someone New" will only get stuck in your head even more!
True fans of Hozier will remember "Someone New" from all the way back in 2013, when "Take Me To Church" was Hozier's number one hit. But it most definitely stands the test of time. "Someone New" has an acoustic vibe, with a melody that might get stuck in your head. And don't we all want to adopt Hozier's mindset of falling in love with everyone you're surrounded by, just a little bit?
Everyone knows "Espresso", but do you know "Fast Times" from Sabrina Carpenter's 2022 album?
This queen cannot make a bad track. "Fast Times" did not get the recognition it deserved when it was first released. It tells the story of a blazing love affair that didn't last for long, and it has the same tongue-and-cheek wit that we're used to from Sabrina. You love that me espresso, but it's time to appreciate the other catchy songs in Sabrina Carpenter's repertoire.
You know "Rush" by Troye Sivan? Taste. But "Honey" is even more sweet!
Even if you don't know Troye Sivan's music, "Honey" is the perfect addition to your summer playlist. It echoes all of the feelings of discovering a new crush: desire, longing, building up courage to finally talk to the person you've had your eyes on. The synth-pop sound is great for a dance party and a summer barbecue alike.
"Vampire" has been stuck in our heads since Olivia Rodrigo released it in 2023. "Ballad Of A Homeschooled Girl" is even more angsty, if you can believe it!
Love the anger in "Vampire"? Well, that's only doubled in "Ballad Of A Homeschooled Girl"! This song is great for rocking out to, plus it captures the social awkwardness that we've all felt at one time or another. Olivia Rodrigo knows how to do teenage angst, and we love her for that.
Finally, wrap up your summer playlist with "This Song", the newest hit by Conan Gray of "Heather" fame.
You might know Conan Gray for his sad bedroom pop, but "This Song" could fit in perfectly with hits by all of the biggest pop artists. It tells the story of a new love, and radiates the pain we've all felt when crushing on someone. Honestly, this song just makes me daydream about someone writing a song like this for me!
Did we miss any of your favorites?

New Puppy Owners Record Him Sleeping, Then Catch Adorable Moment

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The owners of a new puppy were adoringly watching him sleep, when they caught a special moment on camera. Cash the golden retriever puppy joined his new family in July, and, since then, has taken over their hearts—as well as their TikTok account, which has been dedicated to all of his puppy antics. Their account @cashcasecarl is full of the golden puppy exploring the world for the first time, with walks in the park, trying to catch fish at the lake, watching TV and even going shopping. But all of these new adventures can easily wear a puppy out, and, on August 14, his owners shared a video of him in a deep sleep, splayed out across both of their laps. As Cash sleeps, he is clearly having an exciting dream, as he lets out tiny growls, whimpers, and moves his body, with his eyes still shut tight. His owners start laughing gently—and then Cash begins barking, without quite opening his mouth, his body jumping with the force of his sleeping barks. And, as his owners revealed, it was the first time he had ever barked. Cash's owner's captioned the sweet clip: "When Cash had to dream to find his first bark." Like humans, dogs can dream when they fall asleep, and can often be seen twitching or growling as they take a snooze. Dogs spend about half of their day sleeping, according to the National Sleep Foundation, and this can be longer for senior dogs and puppies. And according to researchers at the University of British Columbia, the part of the brainstem involved in the control of sleep cycles is underdeveloped in puppies, leading them to act out their dreams with twitching and growling more often. Cash barks in his sleep as his owners laugh. Cash barks in his sleep as his owners laugh. TikTok @cashcasecarl TikTok users loved the sweet clip, which has been viewed more than 2 million times, as dog owners flocked to the comments to share their own stories. "My golden occasionally howls in his sleep and wakes himself up doing it," one said. "I've never heard him howl when he's awake, only while dreaming." Another told Cash's owners to wait "until they start howling in their sleep and you wake up in complete horror," as a third described dreaming dogs as the "best part of being a dog parent, hands down." And as one comment read: "Hey, somebody has to chase those squirrels! You guys are just laying in bed!" Newsweek has contacted @cashcasecarl via TikTok for comment on this story. Kate Gosselin reveals 'sickening' reason behind her return to nursing career

Kate Gosselin is revealing why she returned to her nursing career after leaving reality TV behind. The former "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star posted a TikTok video on Monday, Aug. 11, about her 12-hour day as a home health care nurse and took to the comments to respond to a fan who asked about her career change. "Honestly? Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS," Gosselin replied. She continued: "Sickening but I was drug into court constantly and that costs A TON. Sad bc my kids could have a lot more saved and I could have a retirement saved if it weren't for lawyers :(. It's okay. I'm helping other families and I feel needed and I enjoy helping!" She shared in another comment: "Raised and supported 8 kids alone and now they have enough college money to go to college and beyond! I achieved my goal but have no personal retirement 😢" Gosselin launched a TikTok last month, sharing details about her life from her love of dogs to an inside look at her hair appointment. Collin Gosselin talks growing up on 'Jon & Kate Plus 8': 'We didn't get the choice' Gosselin and ex-husband Jon Gosselin catapulted to superstardom from 2007 to 2009 on their TLC show "Jon & Kate Plus 8," which documented the family of 10's complicated interpersonal dynamics in Pennsylvania. Then, after the Gosselins' bitter 2009 split, TLC relaunched the show featuring the nurse moving on solo from 2015 to 2017 on "Kate Plus 8." In addition to "Plus 8," Gosselin has starred on "Dancing with the Stars," "Celebrity Wife Swap," "Celebrity Apprentice" and most recently appeared on Fox's military training competition series, "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test", in 2023, although she was the first celebrity to leave. Kate and Jon Gosselin's children are 24-year-old twins Cara and Mady, and 21-year-old sextuplets: Aeden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah. Kate Gosselin is estranged from Collin and Hannah while Jon Gosselin is estranged from the remaining children. Collin has spoken out in recent years about his mom having him "institutionalized" and sending him to a care facility. Gosselin slammed her son's claims in a 2023 Instagram post, writing in a lengthy note that he had "mental health issues" and exhibited "violent tendencies" toward her and his siblings in the past. This New App Lets You Take Private Audio Tours From Top Guides in Iconic European Destinations—and It's Free

A new app is giving travelers a private experience, allowing them to immerse themselves in new cities without breaking the bank. The app, called Le Walk, is a location-based experience using artificial intelligence to create riveting storytelling, all curated by local guides. The app, developed by a couple of former TikTok employees, is free to download on iOS and aimed at helping guides to scale their services. 'Le Walk is all about elevating travel," Aaron Sekhri, a co-founder of Le Walk, said in a statement shared with Travel + Leisure. "Our goal is to make the world's best guides accessible to every single traveler, regardless of cost, timing or language." The goal was to get travelers "looking up," instead of aimlessly scrolling on their phones, an ambition brought on by the founders' time at the social media company. Using the Le Walk app at the Musee d'Orsay in Paris. Le Walk When users log in, they will find on-demand audio walks where a professional tour guide will narrate directly into their headphones—without the hassle of having to be in a big group or struggling to hear the tour guide. Enjoy a guided visit to the Louvre's couture exhibition with the "Haute & Historical" tour, for example, or hang out with "Emily in Paris" on a walk through the popular show's iconic filming locations. And WWII buffs will find the "Is Paris Burning?" tour fascinating, which "reveals the still-present scars of Nazi occupation along with gripping stories of resistance, betrayal and survival." Overall, tours are available in a variety of subjects from art tours to architecture, history, culinary-focused jaunts (think: viral TikTok butter), and more. The app is currently available to use for tours in Paris, Rome, and Florence, according to the company, with plans to expand to more than two dozen more cities by summer 2026. Tours are offered in 22 different languages. Tours typically last just under an hour and customers seem to be happy: Le Walk said 63 percent of travelers who have tried it participate in multiple tours. So far, the company said it has seen more than 75,000 downloads. Of course—as the saying goes—Paris is never a bad idea, and a trip to the city isn't complete without indulging in good French cheese, hunting for vintage goods at an antique market, and people-watching at one of the outdoor cafes. And the same goes for Le Walk's other Italian cities where you can sample gelato, wrap yourself in history, and eat your weight in pasta.
