In pursuit of developing confident communicators and effective leaders, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Qatar Toastmasters Club is fast becoming a vital platform for Filipino professionals in Doha pursuing personal and professional growth.
Chartered in 2023 under the PICPA Doha LLC (G), the club is affiliated with Toastmasters International, a global organisation committed to excellence in communication and leadership development.

Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines commence daily flights from Manila to Doha as part of strategic partnership
DOHA: Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines celebrated the new daily service between Manila and Doha with a ribbon cutting ceremony at Hamad International Airport (DOH). The new partnership allows passengers flying from Manila to Doha to perfectly connect to the airline's unparalleled global network of over 170 destinations via Hamad International Airport. Commemorating the occasion were officials and executive representatives from both the Qatari and Filipino sides, Qatar Airways said, noting that travellers from key markets such as the Brazil, Spain, United Kingdom and United States can enjoy greater choice and enhanced connectivity with Qatar Airways, when planning their trips to the Philippines. Qatar Airways currently serves four key cities in the Philippines - the capital city of Manila, Cebu, Clark and Davao - providing passengers with convenient entry points to some of the county's most dynamic and culturally rich destinations, Qatar Airways said. Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori said: "Qatar Airways is proud to celebrate the start of codeshare flights with Philippine Airlines. This daily service marks the beginning of a strong partnership between our two airlines, paving the way for even closer ties between the Philippines and Qatar for the benefit of both business and leisure travel." He continued: "We welcome Philippine Airlines to our unrivalled portfolio of airline partnerships which encompasses some of the best airlines in the world. PICPA Doha hosts workshop for finance, accounting professionals
Darlene Regis The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Doha LLC (G) recently conducted a successful Advanced MS Excel Workshop at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Old Airport Road, drawing finance, accounting, and business professionals from across the region. The workshop was led by Mohamad Rizk, MBD, SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, an expert in Excel and people analytics, who guided participants through an intensive and interactive session. The training covered a range of advanced Excel tools and techniques, including LOOKUP functions, FILTER applications, What-If Analysis, Pivot Tables, Power Query, Dashboards, and Macros. Throughout the workshop, attendees actively participated in hands-on exercises aimed at improving data management, enhancing reporting efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making through Excel's powerful features. Many appreciated the session for its practical relevance and direct application to real-world business scenarios.
