Zazzaroni Reveals ‘Inter Milan Not Pursuing Other Targets To Keep Lookman Happy'

Yahoo2 days ago
Inter Milan are not making moves for any attacking targets other than Ademola Lookman to keep the player happy.
This according to Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni. He explains the Nerazzurri's approach in an editorial in today's print edition, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have already spent several weeks chasing after Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.
The Nerazzurri had hoped to wrap up a deal for the Nigerian international by the end of July. Clearly, that has not happened.
Inter have faced stumbling block after stumbling block in their efforts to sign Lookman.
Chief among them is the fact that Atalanta have never given Inter a price tag. They have rejected two offers, but not given the Nerazzurri a counteroffer to base a decisive bid around.
However, in the meantime Inter have never made any serious efforts to pursue a Plan B.
Zazzaroni: 'Inter Not Going After Other Targets To Keep Lookman Happy'

Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni explains that 'even though Atalanta want to fine Lookman, they don't know how to communicate it.'
The reason being that Lookman 'has been unreachable for days.'
'Ademola is insisting on his word, and the promise the club made to him. Percassi is insisting that the decision is that of the club.'
'Meanwhile, Inter are not yet going after any other targets,' Zazzaroni notes.
'So that they don't irritate Lookman himself.'
The Corriere dello Sport editor notes that Lookman is 'going out on a pretty big limb' for Inter.
Elsewhere in the world of Inter, Zazzaroni notes that 'Sucic and Henrique have the task of reminding the fans of what they can bring to the team.'
'And Calha has made peace with Lautaro. Maybe even also with himself.'

Enzo Maresca explains why Trevoh Chalobah came off as defender reacts on his socials

Defender Trevoh Chalobah has reacted on his social media last night after coming off injured in Chelsea's win against AC Milan. The Blues breezed past AC Milan winning the game 4-1 on the night in what was another very impressive performance from Enzo Maresca's side. Liam Delap had a great game and he topped it off by scoring the fourth goal for Chelsea to make sure of the comfortable win and result. EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea offered chance to sign Premier League centre back and it's not Marc Guehi! It wasn't all good news though and Chelsea fans had major concerns when yet another defender appeared to come off injured during the game. Chalobah was bought off injured and suddenly Chelsea fans thought they might be losing him as well as Levi Colwill who is now likely to be out for a large part of the season with an ACL injury. But thankfully, it does not sound like anything to be concerned about for Chalobah based on reactions from Maresca and the player himself. Chalobah reacts Trevoh Chalobah winces in pain as he puts weight on his injured ankle in a preseason friendly against AC Milan. He simply posted on X last night: 'All good everyone, thanks for the messages 🙏💙' That will be a relief to hear for everyone at the club because they are surely going to need Chalobah if they do not dip into the market to sign a new centre back in the remaining weeks of the summer transfer window. Maresca reacts So if he is all good, why did he come off? Well, he was 'too hot' apparently! Maresca said: '[Wesley] Fofana could be available for Crystal Palace yes, and we are very happy because he is a very important player. Trev [Chalobah] is fine; he decided to come off because it was too hot (laughs).' It was a pretty hot day yesterday to be honest!

Arne Slot confirms Liverpool have signed a NEW secret weapon

Liverpool been extremely careful in crafting Arne Slot 2.0 this summer and there is a reason why. Firstly, the amount of money that has been spent is extortionate, even though you feel that signing quality players demands such a financial outlay nowadays. £300m takes time and consideration. 🔴 🚨2025/26 LFC x adidas range🚨 LFC x adidas Shop the away range TODAY LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! Slot finally had an opportunity to mould the Reds into a multi-functional side in his image. Tactically we were in for a major change. 🔴 Shop the LFC 2025/26 adidas away range Winning the Premier League last season was phase one, but there are other competitions that the Reds will have felt they could improve in, alongside attempting to retain their league title crown. Slot's NEW secret weapons for success In an interview with Men in Blazers, the Dutch coach revealed what he's been getting up to this summer, looking at different ways for Liverpool to become a different animal on the pitch this season. He said: "We saw more and more teams going to a lower block than is even possible [last season] and one of the reasons we still won those games is because we kept a clean sheet; we were working that hard so that we only needed a goal to win the game. And we managed to do this a lot, but we won many of our hames by a one goal margin. "I think that by adding the creativity of Florian [Wirtz], by adding the base of Jeremie Frimpong, Hugo Ekitike, and Milos Kerkez that can give us some weapons in games like that as well. If you don't evolve, if you keep doing the same thing, people do find the answers to your playing style and that already happened a bit in the second half of the season." As such, while last season's tactical plan was all about adding more control in possession, rather than constantly playing in transition, this season will be about utilising more dynamic technicians. Just through watching the pre-season games, you get a sense that there is substantially more creativity in the side and the attack is far more unpredictable because of how free the players are. No one's position is set in stone, with Wirtz and Ekitike constantly moving around the pitch to create different options, leaving opposition sides feeling lost in defence. It's a little bit like PSG last season. Later in the interview, Slot spoke about how you have to evolve tactically in order to continue succeeding at the top level, noting that you need to be able to excel in every aspect of the game. He added: "We've been a threat over all these years under Jurgen [Klopp] and even last season in transition as well and I think now if you want to learn the league, you have to be good at everything - in transitions, in attack, in set plays, defensively really strong and using high press and in a low block, that is what this league does to every team that wants to win. "You have to be at your best in every part of football and that's that we are trying. We are working really hard on that, to become as best as possible. I don't know where I read it somewhere, but it was something like 'we try to reach perfection, but we reach excellence along the way'." There's a maturity to this Liverpool team now. It's a little bit like watching an XI of galacticos, not just because they cost a lot, but because of the sheer amount of talent that Slot can utilise tactically. Just last season, it felt like Mohamed Salah was our primary weapon. Now we have a team of them.

New Porsche 911 Cup Revealed

Read the full story on Backfire News Porsche has finally revealed the new 911 Cup, the racecar used in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, Carrera Cup, and other one-make series. But we won't see it in action yet, with its launch into competition set for the 2026 forward, Porsche says all 'GT' cars will be used only in open-brand racing series or specific segments, that's all. The automaker says this move is in the name of 'streamlining and standardizing' nomenclature. As you can tell from its aesthetics, the new Porsche 911 Cup is derived from the 992.2, more specifically the road-legal 911 GT models. In fact, they're made in the same Zuffenhausen factory. Again, instead of taking a revolutionary approach to its design, the automaker refined various details, evolving what's already an impressive track machine. One of the changes is power. The rear-mounted 4.0-liter flat-six puts out a stout 512-horsepower, dialing up the performance and fun of Porsche-sanctioned races. Internal changes include extended valve opening times via a revised camshaft profile and optimized individual throttle valves. Race teams will enjoy the fact the front splitter is composed of three different parts, meaning damage to one doesn't necessitate the replacement of all three, helping to reduce costs. In the same vein, the daytime running lights used on the previous 911 Cup have been eliminated. Another obvious change are the louvre vents in the front fenders, something Porsche says improves downforce on the front axle. The underbody is also supposed to be more aerodynamic. Plus, turning vanes have been added behind the front wheel arches to facilitate airflow. But the rear end has been changed the most. Now the racecar sports a swan-neck rear wing that's supposed to be easier to adjust, plus a completely redesigned engine cover. Simplification is the key to the cockpit redesign, including a new multifunction steering wheel featuring color-illuminated buttons for ease of use while racing. The number of physical switches on the central control panel have been reduced to eight versus the previous ten. Plus, some adjustments which had to be made via a connected laptop can now be done on the central display. 'Like its successful predecessors, the new 911 Cup pushes boundaries. It combines series components from our GT sports cars with pure racing technology to create a coherent and performance-based overall concept,' emphasises Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President Porsche Motorsport. 'Driving the 911 Cup has always been regarded as a challenge. And we want to keep it that way because it also serves as the training platform for our Porsche Juniors. The success of this concept is evident in its countless race and championship victories.' Images via Porsche
