Next's red dress is a summer must-have for all ages and shapes

High street fashion giant Next has unveiled a range of new collections, enticing shoppers with holiday attire in summer-ready hues. I had my eyes on one particular dress that is an ideal piece for many occasions.
The Puff-Sleeve Midi Dress in Bright Red is a charming midi style that elegantly falls just above the ankle. It features a gathered waist with an elasticated band to maintain a desirable hourglass figure.
The dress is priced at €46, but the silky fabric and sophisticated cut give it a more luxurious feel. The short puff sleeves rest comfortably on my arms, perfect for concealing any arm insecurities without the elasticated cuffs causing discomfort.
With the gathered drapes positioned high at the waist, it creates the illusion of added height - a bonus for someone who stands at 5ft3in like me. The vibrant red caught my eye whilst browsing in the store.
After trying it on, I was completely taken with it. I can envision shoppers donning it for posh luncheons, special events and even weddings and graduation ceremonies.
This midi-length dress has a flattering short puff sleeve and elegant high-neck detailing, made from a smooth fabric with a gathered waist and a button fastening to the back of the neck
This Next dress does not feature any zip fastening and instead the elasticated waist provides flexibility for the wearer, making it easier to put it on. However, one aspect I found lacking was the absence of pockets - it would have been handy to have side pockets for a lipstick or tissue.
Red frocks are a summer favourite, and this Finery Red Camille Chiffon Midi Dress is very similar to the Next dress, but in lightweight chiffon fabric. It's priced at €75.
Boden's Anna Linen Tiered Midi Dress, is a more expensive option for those with a bigger budget at €190. It features a V-neckline and tiered skirt with side pockets.
The Next dress is a piece that should suit most ages, and can be dressed up or down. Pair it with kitten heels and a clutch bag for a dinner date, or keep it casual with sandals as Lorraine Kelly demonstrated with her Forever New dress and M&S sandals.
I wore the dress with these Reef Sunny Emma sandals, priced at €89,99, would pair perfectly with the Next dress, along with a Natural Jute Shoulder Bag for £42. The Puff Sleeve Midi Dress is available in sizes ranging from UK6 to UK26 in regular length and UK10 to UK20 in tall. If red isn't your colour, there's also a Navy Blue Floral alternative.

Cat Deeley takes fashion notes from Rochelle Humes with 'classy' Next co-ord

The This Morning crew are dishing out serious fashion goals lately, to the point where they're even taking cues from each other's wardrobes. Making a chic style statement, Cat Deeley rocked a much-admired co-ord from Rochelle Humes' collection for Next on Thursday morning's show. At 48, Cat Deeley perfectly pulled off the Brown Glossy Satin Polka Dot Maxi Skirt paired with its matching Brown Glossy Satin Polka Dot Halter Top during today's show. The coordinated set created a sleek illusion of a maxi dress that has had folks singing its praises online, with many saying it's been a compliment magnet. It seems you can't go wrong with chocolate polka dots—they're as classic as it gets, and if royalty's wardrobe choices like Kate Middleton's are anything to go by, this pattern is here to stay. Next's satin polka dot skirt in particular has been drawing in lots of love from customers. Highlighting its timeless appeal, one glowing five-star review reads: "The quality of the material is stunning it hangs lovely and I love polka dots. Little bit expensive but it will never age." The skirt is priced at €64, but as the customer mentioned above, it's an investment piece that will be worn for years to come. The chic skirt available in regular or petite sizes, featuring pleated detailing and a smooth satin fabric, finished with an elasticated wide waistband for a comfortable fit, reports the Mirror. "Beautiful skirt and really comfortable," said a second shopper. "Very classy in my opinion. The colours are lovely and there's a matching top available. Perfect for tall women." However, it may not be ideal for those who prefer a low maintenance look, with one review complaining it needed to be ironed. They said: "I absolutely loved the colour and fit of the skirt but it creased so badly." Another glowing review penned: "Beautiful skirt, which is lovely quality. A great length for me (5ft 9 height) Got lots of compliments wearing the outfit, along with matching top." Like many of the Next shoppers, Cat wore the skirt with the matching top, which is a bit more affordable at €41.50. Made from a soft satin fabric with an all-over polka dot print, it's finished with a tie fastening and is perfect for summer styling. This piece has also received much praise from fans. "Love this top.. so comfy and classy," said one. "Sizing is perfect. Bought this and the matching skirt. I really love it and yet it's a colour I wouldn't normally go for. Got great compliments when wearing it." Styled by Rachael Hughes, Cat chose to let her Next co-ord take centre stage, complementing it with a simple cream heel. Rochelle, who models the outfit on the website, also opted for a neutral heel featuring a cutout design and slingback. Rochelle's collection, which debuted a few weeks ago, comprises timeless linen fabrics, vibrant fitted co-ords, and some apt summer knits for Ireland's unpredictable weather. It has been a hit with shoppers who love her sleek, minimalist aesthetic, and now counts Cat Deeley among its fans. With not just one but two celebrity endorsements, it would be no surprise to see this co-ord selling out before the weekend. Those keen to snap it up can find it on the Next website here.

Next shoppers 'love' €25 summer top so much they're buying every colour

Next has launched a vibrant and striking summer top that shoppers are snapping up in 'every available colour', with some so taken by it they've bought every shade on offer. With its breezy linen fabric, customers have praised it the 'stylish' and 'comfortable' top as perfect for the heat and versatile enough to "dress up or down" for any summertime event. The Short Sleeve Boxy T-shirt with Linen is available in six distinct designs. All of the styles are priced between €24.50 and €32.50, depending on the look selected, and many shoppers have quickly labelled it a "favourite" for their seasonal wardrobe. Next bosses have described it as providing a "relaxed fit" for an effortlessly chic "easy summer look". The "comfortable" top, crafted from a linen mix, is touted as ideal for the summer climate due to its breathability and is offered in sizes from six to 26. For instance, the black or white versions of the Next top are a steal at €24.50 each. If you fancy something with a bit more pizzazz, patterned varieties like the Abstract Sunshine Print will set you back €32.50, reports the Mirror. Budget-friendly patterns are also part of the mix, including a zebra-effect top for €25. Another sought-after design, featuring a red and white palm tree motif, is also priced at €25 and boasts numerous five-star ratings. One shopper praised the item, saying: "So comfortable to wear. Can be dressed up or down." Another chimed in with admiration for the material: "Lovely material for warm weather, good fit [and it] doesn't crease like some linen tops." Another customer was pleased, noting: "Lovely top. It can be worn for all occasions, had lots of compliments on this top." A different buyer commented on the ease and style: "Nice easy to wear linen blend top. Love the bright colour and pattern and button up back." However, some customers were less satisfied, citing the material's thickness: "too thin" while another pointed out a sizing issue: "Nice item but [it's] far too long." In another review, a buyer appreciated the features: "Lovely linen blend top. It buttons down the back and has two side slits. Great red and white pattern which looks fab with some white linen pants." Lastly, another customer expressed sheer satisfaction: "I've got them all now! [The tops] are comfortable to wear and they look smart as well."
