Whether staying in or heading out, these celeb-approved tricks will help you breeze through summer looking and feeling your best.
Akanksha Chamola, who essays the role of Manvi in Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye said, "Summers on set are a whole different game. With layers of makeup and the heat from the lights, it can be quite a task for the skin. Over time, I've built a routine that works well for me. Since I follow a vegan lifestyle, I skip all dairy and animal-based products! Instead, I keep myself hydrated with lots of coconut water, kokum sherbet, aam panna, sabja water, and seasonal fruits like mangoes and taadgola (ice apples), which are absolute lifesavers during summer.
"
She further added, "I also love fresh salads to keep things light. Before and after makeup, I always use a mix of glycerine and rose water — it's simple but so soothing for the skin. A
cooling face mist
is always in my vanity, and a quick spritz between shots makes a big difference. I avoid heavy meals on shoot days and tie my hair up loosely to stay comfortable. For me, it's all about small, mindful rituals that help me stay cool, calm, and camera-ready, even on the hottest days."

Arjit Taneja: Ratings matter, but you can't keep thinking about that
Arjit Taneja After wrapping up his role in Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, Arjit Taneja wasn't in a rush to take on another project. So, when he was offered the male lead role in Jhanak after the generational leap, his first instinct was to decline. 'I prefer being part of a show from the start,' he explains, adding, 'With leaps, there's usually a lingering attachment to the original cast. Also, I needed time to detach from my previous character and experience. But sometimes, you have to go with the flow, and eventually, I said yes.' Quite often, a popular face is roped in to boost an ongoing show's ratings. On dealing with the pressure that comes with such a move, Arjit says, 'Of course, ratings matter — they determine how long a show runs. But you can't keep thinking about that. My focus is on doing justice to the role and I want this new character to connect with viewers the way my last character Virat did. Chemistry with the heroine, a solid story and a supportive team all play a role. I had that in my last show, and I hope I find that here too. When you are spending 12 hours a day on set, the environment matters.' In a previous chat with us, Arjit confirmed that he was indeed part of the show and shared how he initially declined the offer before eventually agreeing. He recalled, 'While I was still shooting for KMTMG, I got a call from the production house of Jhanak for what I thought was a new show. I did a mock shoot but didn't think much of it since I was busy wrapping up a show I was emotionally invested in. Later, they told me the mock shoot wasn't for a new show but for the male lead in Jhanak after the leap. I declined the offer. I've always believed that if I do a show, I want to start from the beginning.' When asked what changed his mind, he replied, 'The makers reached out again and explained their vision. They pitched it as a new version with a fresh story, and that made me see it differently.'

Arjit Taneja on joining Jhanak as the new lead: I had initially declined the show
Arjit Taneja Fresh off his successful run as Virat in Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye (KMTMG), Arjit Taneja wasn't planning to jump into another project right away. He had hoped to take a short break and cherish the memories of his last show. But fate had other plans, and he soon found himself on the sets of Jhanak, stepping in as the new male lead post the generational leap. He recalls, 'While I was still shooting for KMTMG, I got a call from the production house of Jhanak for what I thought was a new show. I did a mock shoot but didn't think much of it since I was busy wrapping up a show I was emotionally invested in. Later, they told me the mock shoot wasn't for a new show but for the male lead in Jhanak after the leap. I declined the offer. I've always believed that if I do a show, I want to start from the beginning. With leaps, there's usually a hangover of the original cast that lingers with the audience.' In fact, he had even taken to social media to clarify, tweeting that he hadn't signed any new show. 'I really wanted to take a break and relax. KMTMG was very special to me, and I needed time to let it all sink in. That's why I tweeted—to clear the air about Jhanak, which at that point, I wasn't doing.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo So, what changed his mind? 'The makers reached out again and explained their vision. They pitched it as a new version with a fresh story, and that made me see it differently,' he replies. Arjit continues, 'I realised that this opportunity kept coming back multiple times. And here I was, repeatedly saying no. That didn't sit right with me. I had just wrapped up my previous show 10–15 days ago and spent time unwinding with family and friends in Delhi. But I also thought, at a time when so many actors are struggling for good roles, why was I turning this down again and again? It's a good show, a good platform, and the offer was solid, including the money. ' Admitting it took him a while to accept the role due to lingering emotions from his last character, he says, 'I hadn't fully processed Virat's journey ending. I'm still reeling from the incredible experience of shooting Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye. It was truly a special time on set — unforgettable and impossible to replicate. I miss it every single day. As an actor, you need that time. But sometimes, you have to trust the timing. So, I finally said yes. Right now, I'm in the process of adjusting to the new role and settling in.'
