Everett's dramatic retelling of Mark Twain's 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' is a fiction nominee for the 20th annual Dayton Literary Peace Prize, which comes with a $10,000 cash award. Besides the Pulitzer, 'James' has also won the National Book Award and Kirkus Prize.

Michael Jackson Biopic Moves to April
The Michael Jackson biopic 'Michael' will open in standard theaters and in Imax worldwide on April 24, moving from its earlier October date. Lionsgate is releasing the film domestically, with Universal handling distribution in the rest of the world except for Japan, which is handled by Kino Films. The film was last reported to carry a $155 million production budget. 'Michael' also stars Colman Domingo and Nia Long as family heads Joe and Katherine Jackson. Miles Teller plays John Branca, Jackson's attorney and advisor. Larenz Tate plays Motown Records founder Berry Gordy, with Laura Harrier as music executive Suzanne de Passe and Kat Graham will appear as Diana Ross. Other cast members include Jessica Sula as La Toya Jackson, Michael's older sister; Liv Symone as Gladys Knight; Kevin Shinick as Dick Clark; KeiLyn Durrel Jones as Jackson's former security-turned-trusted friend and confidante Bill Bray; and Kendrick Sampson as Quincy Jones, who first met Michael Jackson when he was just 12 years old. WNBA star Jewell Loyd seemingly hard launches new relationship with college baller
WNBA player Jewell Loyd just seemingly hard launched her new relationship with an adorable Instagram post. The Las Vegas Aces guard appeared to quietly confirm her relationship with former Miami Hurricanes player Natalija Marshall when her new GF posted a carousel of photos of the happy couple together on July 20. In the first photo, Marshall has her legs draped over Loyd's lap as the two hold hands and look lovingly at each other. Other photos memorialized what looks like a romantic date, Marshall visiting Loyd courtside for an Aces game, and Marshall standing behind Loyd while kissing her neck. As recently as February 2025, Sportskeeda was reporting that the two were still dating. Adams, a point guard for the Estonia Women's National Basketball Team who also played for San Diego State and Oregon State, started dating Loyd back in 2023, according to Essentially Sports. The 31-year-old Loyd won two WNBA Championships with the Seattle Storm in 2018 and 2020 before joining the Aces. She's now seemingly in a relationship with her 23-year-old girlfriend, who transferred from Notre Dame to play for the University of Miami so she could take on a larger role within the team for her fifth season. Madame Tussauds unveils 13 new Taylor Swifts
Madame Tussauds in the US has unveiled 13 new Taylor Swift wax figures. The disparate dummies immortalise the various looks from the superstar's record-breaking Eras Tour, which kicked ended in December 2024. The figures will appear in 13 cities across four continents, marking this the largest multi-figure launch in Madame Tussauds' 250-year history. A press release for the exhibit explains that the aim is to "make guests feel as if they've stepped on stage at Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour". Created by a team of more than 40 artists over 14 months, the 13 figures don memorable stage looks from the tour that fans will instantly recognise. Images released on launch day reveal the Madame Tussauds figures in Hollywood, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando and Nashville, which celebrate five of Taylor's most beloved album eras from the lilac Nicole + Felicia embellished ball gown to the gold-fringed Roberto Cavalli minidress. Madame Tussauds global brand director Laura Sheard shared: "The phenomenal success of her record-smashing tour is the perfect moment for Madame Tussauds to immortalise with 13 figures - Taylor's lucky number - across four continents to ensure we're reaching as many fans as possible. We just know they are going to love it as much as we do." Swift's first Madam Tussauds wax figure was unveiled in New York City in 2010.
