Nanta: 50pc toll discount for private vehicles on March 28 and 29 in conjunction with Hari Raya

KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 — The government will offer a 50 per cent toll discount for private vehicles on March 28 and 29 in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the Cabinet approved the toll discount during its meeting today, according to The Star.
'The toll discount will be implemented from 12.01am on March 28 (Friday) until 11.59pm on March 29 (Saturday),' he said in a statement.
He said the Madani government will pay an estimated RM19.69 million in compensation to all toll concessionaires to cover the discount.
The discount applies only to Class 1 private vehicles at all toll plazas, except at border toll plazas, specifically the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) Toll on the North-South Expressway and the Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza on the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link Expressway (Linkedua).
Nanta Linggi said the initiative continues the festive toll relief programme introduced by the Madani government in 2023 for all four major festive seasons in Peninsular Malaysia.
'It aligns with the core principles of the government — well-being and compassion — aimed at easing the cost of living for the people,' he said.
He urged highway users to plan their journeys wisely and follow the travel time advisory from highway concessionaires to avoid congestion during the long holiday.
'Ensure that vehicles are in good condition, maintain sufficient eWallet balance and Touch 'n Go card balance, and check that the SmartTAG battery is fully charged,' he said.
He also advised commuters to use the Malaysian Highway Authority's (LLM) online CCTV display at www.llm.gov.my for real-time traffic conditions.
The Works Ministry, LLM and highway concessionaires urged drivers to follow traffic rules, drive safely and take breaks if they feel tired.
'Let us work together to maintain safety, cleanliness and comfort on the highways while reducing accidents,' Nanta Linggi said.
The public can contact the LLM Traffic Management Centre at 1-800-88-7752 for the latest traffic updates or assistance.

He may be out of the White House, but former president Joe Biden has played a starring role in the messiest divorce in Washington. Days before he went nuclear by calling Donald Trump's mega-spending bill a 'disgusting abomination', Elon Musk blasted out a post that marked a key turning point for the president and his allies. As Musk prepared to depart from his official duties at the Department of Government Efficiency, the Tesla chief and his electric vehicle company took to social media to warn that the 'big beautiful bill' would gut clean energy tax credits and undermine Trump's 'drill baby drill' American energy revival. 'Abruptly ending the energy tax credits would threaten America's energy independence and the reliability of our grid,' Tesla wrote on its X account on May 28, which Musk then reposted to his 220 million-plus followers. 'There is no change to tax incentives for oil & gas, just EV/solar,' Musk added, once again highlighting the fact that clean energy was being gutted while subsidies for other sectors remained. While it was hardly the scorched-earth tirade Musk has embarked on since, Trump and his allies were not impressed. After all, here was a man who had been invited into Trump's inner circle, to Mar-a-Lago and high-level Cabinet meetings, suddenly attacking the bill publicly for gutting a Biden-era initiative that Republicans had long viewed as a 'green new scam'. 'As the president said, he was very disappointed with Elon,' a White House source told the Daily Beast after the pair's bromance ended on Thursday. The clean energy tax credits formed part of the Inflation Reduction Act, which Biden views as a key part of his legacy. 'It's the largest climate investment in history!' the former president would often boast. But Trump's mega-spending bill would put those credits on the chopping block, disqualifying Tesla electric vehicles from a $7,500 incentive at a time when the company's sales have plummeted. In a note to clients on Thursday, JPMorgan estimated that eliminating the EV tax credit could cost Tesla about $1.2 billion annually. Trump has suggested that the loss of federal support for EVs led Musk to turn on him. 'I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!' wrote Trump in a post on Truth Social. It wasn't a 'mandate' but a tax credit designed to incentivize investment in clean energy technology. It also happened to be signed into law by the only person who has beaten Trump. Seoul, South Korea--(Newsfile Corp. - June 6, 2025) - AIM Intelligence is pleased to announce that, in one of the most high-profile security spotlights of ACL 2025, a global research alliance—with collaboration from Stanford University, Amazon AWS, the University of Michigan, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, KAIST, and the University of Seoul—has unveiled three papers that redefine the frontiers of LLM red teaming, representation-level alignment, and agentic system defense. Two of the papers were accepted to the ACL 2025 Main Conference, while a third was selected for the ACL Industry Track, underscoring not just academic rigor but also real-world relevance. "This isn't speculative. These are attack blueprints we've seen succeed in multimodal agents—inside real systems, with real risks," said Sangyoon Yu, CEO of AIM Intelligence. 1. One-Shot Jailbreaking (ACL 2025 Main Conference) "One-Shot is Enough: Consolidating Multi-Turn Attacks into Efficient Single-Turn Prompts for LLMs" The first paper shows how single-turn prompts can achieve what once took multi-turn dialogues to jailbreak even the most advanced LLMs. The M2S framework compresses complex attacks into highly effective one-liners—faster, stealthier, and harder to detect. "You don't need a conversation to subvert a model anymore. One shot is enough," said Junwoo Ha, Product Engineer of AIM Intelligence. The research was led by Junwoo Ha (University of Seoul) and Hyunjun Kim (KAIST) as part of AIM Intelligence's red-teaming internship program. Representation Bending (ACL 2025 Main Conference) "Representation Bending for Large Language Model Safety" The second paper, REPBEND, attacks the problem not at the prompt level—but deep inside the model's latent space (where the model "thinks"). Developed in collaboration with Amazon AWS, Stanford, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, and the University of Michigan, the method bends unsafe internal representations toward safety without sacrificing performance. Unlike reactive filters, this approach re-engineers harmful behavior before it appears, setting a new standard for inherent alignment. Led by Ashkan Yousefpour (AIM Intelligence, Seoul National University, Yonsei University) and Taeheon Kim (Seoul National University), the work highlights how alignment can be achieved not just through surface-level prompting, but by transforming a model's internal logic itself. "We're aligning the model at its 'brain' level—where it forms its thoughts—not just a filter on the words it speaks," said Ashkan Yousefpor, Chief Scientist of AIM Intelligence. Main Figure 3. Agentic Jailbreaking (ACL 2025 Industry Track) "sudo rm -rf agentic_security" The third study debuts SUDO, a real-world attack framework targeting computer-use LLM agents. Using a detox-to-retrox approach (DETOX2TOX), it bypasses refusal filters, rewrites toxic requests into harmless-looking plans, and executes them via VLM-LLM integration. In live desktop and web environments, SUDO succeeded in tasks like adding bomb-making ingredients to shopping carts and generating sexually explicit images using a vision language model. Led by Sejin Lee and Jian Kim (Yonsei University), and Haon Park (AIM Intelligence CTO), all part of AIM Intelligence, the paper reveals a future where LLM agents can act-and attack-autonomously. "They clicked. They executed. No human needed," said Haon Park, CTO of AIM Intelligence. The implications span: Computer AI agents that can perform real illegal and dangerous actions Multimodal exploits across images, text, and software interfaces Novel attack pathways that compromise models through both hyper-efficient prompts and deep internal subversion "This is a new era of AI red teaming. Our work exposes complex, real-world dangers—threats far beyond text—already impacting new systems and industries," said AIM Intelligence CEO Sangyoon Yu. Open Tools for the Community AIM Intelligence has publicly released both RepBend and SUDO to support open research and real-world defense. REPBEND (GitHub) offers training and evaluation tools for representation-level alignment using LoRA fine-tuning. SUDO (GitHub) includes a 50-task agentic attack dataset, the DETOX2TOX framework, and an evaluation suite for testing desktop/web-based AI agents.
