'And that's why Putin's the boss': Trump rebukes former Russian President Medvedev; warns against treating 'N word casually'
US President Donald Trump on Monday raised eyebrows by claiming that former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev had suggested supplying nuclear warheads to Iran. He warned that the 'N word' should not be used lightly, adding, 'I guess that's why Putin's THE BOSS.
'
"Did I hear Former President Medvedev, from Russia, casually throwing around the 'N word' (Nuclear!), and saying that he and other Countries would supply Nuclear Warheads to Iran? Did he really say that or, is it just a figment of my imagination? If he did say that, and, if confirmed, please let me know, IMMEDIATELY. The 'N word' should not be treated so casually," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
"I guess that's why Putin's 'THE BOSS.'
By the way, if anyone thinks our 'hardware' was great over the weekend, far and away the strongest and best equipment we have, 20 years advanced over the pack, is our Nuclear Submarines. They are the most powerful and lethal weapons ever built, and just launched the 30 Tomahawks — All 30 hit their mark perfectly. So, in addition to our Great Fighter Pilots, thank you to the Captain and Crew!" he added.
This comes a day after Medvedev questioned the reasoning behind US strikes on Iran claiming that several countries were "ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads".
"What have the Americans accomplished with their nighttime strikes on three nuclear sites in Iran?" he asked.
"Critical infrastructure of the nuclear fuel cycle appears to have been unaffected or sustained only minor damage. The enrichment of nuclear material — and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons — will continue. A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads," he said.
"Israel is under attack, explosions are rocking the country, and people are panicking. The US is now entangled in a new conflict, with prospects of a ground operation looming on the horizon," he added.
Meanwhile, Russian President Putin too condemned US strikes on Iran calling it "unprovoked aggression". 'This is an absolutely unprovoked aggression against Iran, has no basis or justification,' Putin said.
'We have long-standing, good, and reliable relations with Iran.
On our part, we are making efforts to help the Iranian people,' he added.
Meanwhile, Israel widened its military campaign against Iran by striking sites tied to the country's embattled theocratic regime. Among the targets were the entrance of Tehran's infamous Evin Prison—long known for detaining political dissidents—and the headquarters of Iran's paramilitary forces involved in crushing recent domestic unrest.

US lifts 'shelter in place' warning for Americans in Qatar after ceasefire
The embassy in Doha, which had also instructed official personnel to stay inside, revoked the guidance in a statement issued late Monday afternoon Washington time AP Washington The State Department has lifted the shelter in place warning to Americans in Qatar that it issued earlier Monday ahead of Iranian missile launches at a US military base there in retaliation for weekend US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. The embassy in Doha, which had also instructed official personnel to stay inside, revoked the guidance in a statement issued late Monday afternoon Washington time after nearly all of the missiles were intercepted and Iran signalled there would be no more. It noted that Qatari airspace, which had been closed earlier, remained closed and that the security situation in the country could change rapidly. Russia, China and Pakistan seek UN resolution condemning US strikes on Iran and calling for ceasefire The draft Security Council resolution, circulated to its 15 members for comments and obtained by The Associated Press, is almost certain to be vetoed by the United States in its present form. It could be changed in negotiations. It condemns in the strongest terms the attacks against peaceful nuclear sites and facilities in Iran under safeguard by the UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency. The draft also calls for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in the Israel-Iran conflict, urgent protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure, and a diplomatic solution to Iran's nuclear issue that guarantees its exclusively peaceful nature in exchange for the lifting of unilateral and multilateral sanctions against Iran. Israel search and rescue teams prepare for another night of potential missiles from Iran. In a makeshift base on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, more than a hundred reservists have been working around the clock trying to find survivors and dig people out of the rubble after missile strike. Soldiers said after Iran's strike on the US base in Qatar they're on high alert. We're very focused we think there's going to be a response from Iran, we don't know what to responses will be, said Matan Schneider the company's second in command for the search and rescue team.

Trump confirms Iranian attack on U.S. military base in Qatar, no casualties reported
New York, June 24 (UNI) U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday confirmed that Iran had launched a missile attack on a U.S. military base in Qatar in response to recent American airstrikes on its nuclear facilities, describing it as a "very weak response" that caused no casualties and "hardly any damage". In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump said 14 missiles were fired by Iran, with 13 intercepted and one allowed to proceed as it posed no threat. He credited Iran for providing "early notice", which he said enabled the United States to avoid any loss of life. He urged Iran and Israel to pursue "peace and harmony" in the region. Trump also thanked the Emir of Qatar for his role in promoting regional stability, noting that no Qataris were harmed in the incident. Majed Al-Ansari, spokesperson for Qatar's foreign ministry, confirmed the interception of multiple Iranian missiles over its capital, Doha, on Monday, an attack Tehran claimed was aimed at U.S. forces at the Al Udeid Air Base. He said the base had been evacuated ahead of the strike, and no casualties were reported. Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for the operation, dubbed Annunciation of Victory, saying it had targeted U.S. military installations in both Qatar and Iraq. The IRGC described Al Udeid as "the headquarters of the U.S. Air Force and the largest strategic asset" of American forces in the region and said it fired six missiles at the site. Despite the attack, Iran's Supreme National Security Council said Tehran was committed to its "brotherly and friendly relations" with Qatar, noting the targeted base was far from urban centres and the operation posed no danger to the country. Mali Junta Chief Turns to Putin For Security As Insurgents Gain Ground | Firstpost Africa Mali Junta Chief Turns to Putin For Security As Insurgents Gain Ground | Firstpost Africa Mali's junta leader and transitional president, General Assimi Goita, arrived in Moscow on Sunday for a state visit. He is expected to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin and hold talks on military cooperation, energy, and infrastructure. Since taking power in two coups in 2020 and 2021, Goita has shifted Mali away from the West cutting ties with France and the UN and turned to Russia for support. The visit comes shortly after the Wagner Group announced its exit from Mali, with its reported replacement, the Africa Corps, expected to take over. Mali continues to face growing attacks from jihadist groups linked to al-Qaeda and ISIS. Goita's trip signals a deepening alliance with Moscow as Mali seeks more security and investment support.
