Pal Vanda Barbosa had a candid chat whilst giving the International Business graduate a facial treatment when she was signed up for the show. She said: 'Alima is stunning. I would definitely say she's one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. 'And she's such an intelligent girl, even when she was presented with the offer to go to Love Island she was still thinking about her job that she would have to give up. 'She's such a kind, caring and funny girl. We got on really well and bonded because both of us lived in Portugal before and speak Portuguese.' Alima is originally from Guinea Bissau and regularly enjoys exotic holidays abroad. Now she is set to follow in the footsteps of her fellow Scots and female Love Island success stories like Camilla Thurlow, Laura Anderson and Paige Turley. Speaking after she was announced, Alima said: "I'm a good flirt. I always ask guys on a night out to guess which country I'm originally from. 'If they get it right, they can get my number. But they never guess correctly so it works really well if you don't want to give a guy your number.' On what she's looking for, Alima added: 'A tall man with a handsome face. Top 10 funniest Love Island moments 'You know when you just look at a guy and they have that Disney prince look to them? That's it.' She also dropped a bombshell in her early snippets by revealing she helped to deliver her baby sister with a shoelace after her mum's unexpected labour. Her mum went into labour while Alima was writing an essay for university and she had to help with the umbilical cord. She joked: 'I told my lecturer what happened because I couldn't submit my essay and he thought I was lying. He said there were easier ways to get an extension." Her friend Vanda reckons Alima has plenty of stories to tell that will keep viewers entertained. But she also believes she will think carefully before falling into the arms of one the show's bachelors. The esthetician, who runs Skin By Vanda, said: 'She's always been single since I met her. I would like her to find a genuinely nice good guy, someone kind and thoughtful who treats her the way she deserves. 'She's such a beautiful soul, inside and out and I truly believe she deserves the absolute best.'

was heckled by outraged fans at the premiere of her visual album in New York City. Over the weekend during the Tribeca Film Festival, the Flowers songstress, 32, released her film Something Beautiful - which accompanies her recently-released album of the same name. But while celebrating at the Beacon Theater, many of her fans started interrupting mid-premiere and heckling her because they thought she would be performing a 'concert.' However, the event was never advertised as such and instead was described as 'an exclusive conversation' with Cyrus following the premiere of the movie, per the festival website. Some attendees said that they heard others yelling at the former Disney star, heckling her repeatedly while she was on stage, per People - with some saying: 'We thought this was a concert' and 'We paid $800. Sing!' Miley reportedly ended up appeasing the fans' request and started singing a cappella briefly, performing one of her throwback hits: The Climb. After fan-taken footage went viral on social media, many more of her supporters started commenting on the moment. Many criticized the attendees for heckling while others gushed about how Cyrus responded kindly. She was supported by her boyfriend Maxx Morando at the premiere, and the stylish pair were the epitome of Hollywood glamour as they stepped out to celebrate before jet-setting out of the city the following morning. The Flowers singer let her younger beau, 26, to handle their bags as they rushed to their flight out of the JFK airport following her shocking confession about her past drug use. Morando making a public appearance with her at her premiere was one of many recent, rare appearances together since they were romantically linked in the summer of 2021. Amid her promo tour for her music release, she recently made a surprising admission about her past. Cyrus candidly detailed how she kept her past drug purchases hidden from her accountant. Before she got sober, she said she would have to come up with an explanation for the purchases to her accountant. Many criticized the attendees for heckling while others gushed about how Cyrus responded kindly On Friday's episode of The Ringer's Every Single Album podcast, Cyrus recalled: 'The drugs were the biggest cost, which to hide those from my accountant, we called them vintage clothes.' 'And so she would get these checks. That happens on touring all the time,' she continued. Then, she admitted that her accountant would wonder about the 'vintage clothes' costs and she had to come up with excuses to her questions too. 'Every time she saw me, she'd be like, "Where's that, like, $15,000 original John Lennon T-shirt that you bought?" It's like, "Oh, it's upstairs." '"We just really want to protect it, It's really delicate. The fabric, we got to take care of it." So I bought a lot of vintage clothes that year.'
